Devi and her mom have the best written most realistic mother daughter realtionships on a tv shows. I love their relationship And it’s development. I love that nalani isn’t perfect just like Devi. They are processing their greif, I love that nalani keeps growing as a parent.

Damn this interview is 💯. It’s so different when a non-media personality, aka Phillip, gets to be the one interviewing an actor who also cares about representation as he and Wong Fu have been the leaders for this in Asian media from the start. His level of empathy, insightful questions, and immigrant understanding is only matched by Maitreyi’s extreme humility, self-awareness, and depth. I am a HUGE NHIE and Mindy fan, especially as a Filipina-American who never knew how much I wanted stories of IMperfect Asian characters. I looove how open and honest she is, and I hope she continues to get roles that blow us, and herself, away!!!

I just stumbled upon this video but I absolutely loved it. I love her so much. She speaks so clearly and eloquently and the conversations with Phillip about her life growing up and getting into acting was such a delight to listen to. Love this episode so much. My respect and love for her has grown.

Love this and as someone who is from no minority groups but have been a wong fu, Mindy project and now never have I ever super fan i LOVE to see this type of representation and specificity and learn more about people who are different than myself. Shows like these have helped me to relate to friends that do come from minority groups and has helped me understand them better.
