I remember first hearing Velocity Girl over 20 years ago and loving them. To this day, I still love them, and I try to still push them on people when I can.:)
one of my favorite bands of the 90's. they we're smart a bit nerdy and rocked while making great tunes. during that era I probably saw them more than any other band, they were always great and toured constantly. first show was winter 93 opening for superchunk during a blizzard in upstate NY
I somehow managed to miss seeing them when they reunited for a one off in DC around 2003 or so. Probably my most regretted missed show. Sarah Shannon has the sweetest voice.
Darn... as a huge fan of 90s alternative... I seriously had no idea of this group :o( sucks for me..... anyway this song gives me chills and I dont even know why.. Love this song... This is for sure one of those songs that makes you wish that MUSIC was like this today....
Yeah...it was a benefit concert. It was an awesome show where they debuted two new songs! They performed again a little later that year at the Blackcat, but I missed that one. :(
Hah, me too! Grew up in Hawaii, blasted Radio Free on the car stereo, and had Velocity Girl in constant rotation on my playlists. Awesome band. And I hear, now in 2024, they are re-releasing an expanded "Copacetic." Great memories. Mahalos! 🤙🎶🎸

My absolute favorite, from Sara to Archie, they were my band. Thanks for posting.
Lucky to see them once in Nashville. I still enjoy their music. Timeless! Thanks for posting.
