- How to build a 20$ Wireless Charging Nightstand from a single 2x12. In this video I show you how to build a bedside table for less than $20 worth of rough lumber from your home center. I also added a wireless charger in my DIY nightstand to recharge my cellphone.
To make this easy woodworking project, you will need at least 6' of a 2x12 rough construction lumber from your home center. I bought a 12' piece for 36$ CND so it's 18$ per nightstand ; I built two. I also bought a 10$ wireless charger from IKEA. And I had some wood stain underhand from my previous project, a bed frame for little boy.

Beautiful and looks expensive.. Im trying to plan a simple design using 4x4s🤔
Great simple to follow video. I love that it came together with just glue!! So much easier. On mine I want to add a drawer in it but it wil look just like yours. I didn’t know that size wood was available. I also loved that French cleat, it’s perfect!!!
Clean, simple and elegant. Thank you!
Very neat build. Thanks for showing how to make this.
Amazing. Thank you
This looks so clean and slick...Would be interested to see how well the framing lumber stayed flat and how much it warped.
Great use of a 2x12 mate, excellent execution and install.
Another great and easy video for beginners like me to try out. Thank you!
Thank you Eduardo! 🙂

You routed the cable behind the wall I'm guessing?
I wondered the exact same thing.
Glue on end grain though? I'd secure those with pocket holes, but I'm not sure if my drill will fit inside that outer cube.
Has anyone tried making this?
Where did the cable go?
"Hey guys, today I'm building a 20$ nightstand using thousands of dollars of tools..."
LoL most of these videos are done by guys who own all the right tools and make it easy to do, if you have all those tools yourself 😂
Nice and simple bud but then Plasterboard fixings for something that bulky 🤦🏻♂️
Well drywall is pretty strong, can hold easily 40 pound per anchor, especially if close to a stud. With the width of the night stand, it's not always possible to have screw in a stud. But since installed, it never ever move from the wall, and my 3 year old once put his feet on it to jump on the bed, so that time it passed the test! 😆
@@SEBTECHDIY no drywall is not at all strong we all know that especially with a point load from a small fixing and if your honestly saying you would be confident hanging that sort of weight off a single fixing (nearly 25kg ie a bag of cement) off a single plasterboard fixing then we can pretend that’s good practice😂. Just hope your insurances are up to date, in the uk they are considered by many to be a sign of a bodge job if used with any sort of weight. Not being a troll at all as nice little unit just not great fixing if ppl where to start using that technique also. ✌🏻
🤣🤣 u didnt even turn the light on
I prefer to build with Woodglut plans.
