Hello, I am a high schooler, the concept of dynamic er movement is mindblowing to me

This lecture just changed my point of view to the organization of organelles. As noted at the beginning, I also thought that organelles are separated and do their jobs independently. Thank you so much for the amazing studies I hope these findings will be found in textbooks soon.

Wow, professor Voeltz, you saved the best for last! The events that you described by 22:21 are jaw dropping!

Fantastic! I'm currently taking undergrad Cell Bio. Amazing that what they're teaching us about the ER is already wrong. This isn't bad -- it's good. This is how fast biology is advancing right now.

At times Dr.Voeltz seems to be using every shred of will power to not jump up and down with excitement, but I certainly am. Brilliant work!

Wow, I had no idea about how dynamic is the structure of the E.R. , that's amazing!

Very informative! The cell is dynamic and this definitely shows that we still have much to learn about how organelles work together. Very cool!

Fascinating lectures! Thank a lot. This opens up my mind and makes me look at cellular organelles in an entirely new light.

As someone who works with yeast, how do you get such great GFP resolution for the ER? How is the entire cell just not blazing green?

Lovely cell, lovely presentation. Do you know what are the sounds inside the cell? Have you ever thought about associating the movement with sounds either natural if you can measure or to notes?

I always thought the ER was just this thing next to the nucleus with ribosomes studded on it. It looks more like a mold inside the cell.

How can the E.R. proteins be dismantled and rebuilt so fast? Are all amino acid sequences for the ER proteins already elucidated?

those who dislike have to comment because. if you only dislike and not tell why you did dislike the vid there is no point. so don't dislike ....comment make an elaborate comment. it will improve and everyone is open for constructive criticism. who knows your criticism will help someone make a breakthrough?!
