As a fellow driving enthusiast, parent and tax payer that shares these public roads, I have to say.......... This made my day 👊🏾🦁 Nice driving brother!
For anyone thinking about mentioning steering corrections, please go drive an S2000 at the limit (for the road) on cold Pilot Super Sports in 30F (-1 C) weather on bumpy roads with way too high spring rates and tell me how it goes. Cheers.
I agree 100% with that..!! To drive an S2000 like this on these conditions its very hard!! Great driving from me man!!! Keep enjoying the perfect car we own!! :)
I was actually about to comment on how cold would the tires be, When you turned left on that junction you were not going that fast and it still slid. Great driving.
In general I don't like this kind of content, but, I admit that you do that very well, you seems be carefull (relatively) when you approach residential area and etc.... And you don't seem to take to many risk. And for that I apreciate. I can take a lot of pleasure by watching your video like that. Great driving and nice video. Thanks a lot for sharing
this guy is the definition of driver mod lmao theres no way id be comfortable pushing my s2000 this far ever. love seeing what our cars are capable of though. just be safe man, hate to see u wreck ur car or more importantly hurt yourself👍
i don't get it, how come on this video we praise his driving, but other togue videos the comments are littered with people calling street drivers like this dangerous or stupid or an asshole, like shit its dope either way
Bob Saget his driving was so incredible, how can we hate on that, when he probably has less chance of crashing, then my grandma going to get more cat food.
That's not how the term mid engined is used. This is traditional longitudinal front engine placement. And yes it's positioned quite far down and back for weight distribution
Death suspension setup is right. That thing was super twitchy. That scares me about the S2000. Because of that I dont know that I could safely enjoy one.
+nitrous36 It's mostly down to the current suspension set up on it but even with well set up, quality dampers, it's a car you have to be 100% alert to driive hard. My other one was stock and was still twitchy but my current set up is just cancerous over bumps. I just can't go as hard as the Porsche which has Bilsteins which soak up bumps all day
+nitrous36 when you see the in-cabin POV of the cayman you will notice it is "twitchy" as well. Most of the "twitchiness" is attributed simply to just always being on the limits of grip for corners and reacting to road surface irregularities at such a low margin for available grip. Obviously alignments help, but if you are worried of having a twitchy driving experience then just keep it below 8.5/10ths
+nitrous36 Look into Ohlins Road and Track. Either those, or billstein PSS9 for street coilovers. I've read good reviews for each. Ohlins run you ~$2500, and the Bilsteins are about $1000 less.
Ah yes, i still remember this video. Now here i am, UA-cam recommended me this video again and still gives me pleasures from this video until this now.
that's dangerous man... you could end up crashing by pushing it that hard on bumpy public roads i got to admit though...excellent driving and some awesome skills keep it to the track and stay safe...
just came here to watch how this man was driving a s2000 chasing a porsche, waiting for the oversteer but this was a good drive. Correction are a need on this car with a crazy tail.
Yeap, I'm done with megan/bc "racing" it's all garbage made at the same factory where an evil bitch has a gun to their heads "you slow down production! you work faster!". Infact, I'm convinced a stock setup is actually BETTER until you pony up for KW v3's, (which I think are a very AVERAGE / entry level coilover based on the years of feedback I've read), belstiens, ohlins.... and probably it would be wise to invest in some corner balancing done by a shop that actually knows wtf they're doing (which means you probably will have to ship the car because most shops just hire very average people / high turnover / don't take much pride in their work / don't care / but they like to look the part with the tats/posters/salesmanship persona. It's your life on the line so if you wanna push it invest in a helmet/track days (just keep in mind if you ever crash the car even on public roads, your insurance company will have found out you liked to race as they do call every racetrack in town (progressive insurance does this). Even though it may be annoying at first, you may feel it's more rewarding with less risk involved than this video demonstrates. I used to run my tin can on wheels understeering pos wrx (02-07 you can sink a TRILLION dollars in to the suspension on them, they suck trust me!) on 1.5 lane wide mt road hill climbs with blind corners back when I was crazy, it's totally a game of roulette on public roads. IF you want to go like hell on public roads like this, I would recommend a bigger group, get some radios from costco, and prerun the road the night before at low speeds.
07wrxtr1 I wouldn't call BC racing "garbage" persay, they have a tighter tolerance than oem dampers on a shock dyno and they actually give you the shock dyno info on each individual damper/coilover you buy plus when you call them you get someone who speaks english and actually knows what they are talking about concerning suspension. I've read an unbiased review by an nsx owner who installed them and his impression was they were even better than the nsx type zero suspension and that was without the optional Swift spring upgrade. You must be thinking of BC as in Buddy Club which I would agree are another dime-a-dozen chinese sweatshop coilover.
Nothing but respect. I re-watched this video a few times, trying to absorb as much as I could. The way you handled the twitchiness shows how experienced you are. I plan on hitting some mountain roads this summer, but I don't intend on pushing my S anywhere near that hard until I've had a few AutoX/Track days, hah. Stay safe brotha.
+Savage No the original need for speed and nfs porsche unleashed were sims. Other NFS games were not. But those 2 games in the series were EAs attempt at a sim racer. The original NFS from 94/95 was a sim racer. They tried to mirror each individual cars driving behavior. And even had road & track help. Look it up.
I know this is an old video lol but it's great! It brings back a lot of memories. My buddy and I used to do something similar to this on some Ohio back roads. He had his '04 Tiburon and I had my '04 RX-8. The front of the Tib looked pretty good in my mirror ;)
Good lord that was absolutely unbelievable! There is a difference between driving fast and keeping the car on the edge of adhesion like you did. I wish one day I’d could drive like that.😮
beyond the death suspension it looked like a sub 45 degree day (-1C as per the uploader) around those temps you're losing 30% traction (at least!), and the tires are NEVER going to warm up. Driving at 10/10 in these conditions is what separates the MEN from the LADS
YOU HANDLED THAT TAIL HAPPY HANDFUL OF AN S2k like a pro, good on you for those fine-tuning steering corrections, best to be in control than in a ditch
I actually liked the camera angle, as it added the the drama! That is a video showing a driver who knows his car and its limits. Small steering corrections were definitely needed to keep things tight. Nice driving and good to see you using the car and not just for going to work & back! :)
This is one of the best pov videos ever. I love it. Q: is the Honda stock? Ps: wish both drivers to stay safe. The speed in those woods seems insane :-)))
mad props. im sure you get a ton of shit talkers but as someone who has spent my fair share of time on the touge i can say you are a good driver. if that is anything above a boxer s you get major props for keeping up to the porsche. id love to run with you in my gti.
Woah this video got popular. it just showed up in my reccomended. i swear i saw this video like 2 years ago. in fact i am subbed to your channel on my other UA-cam account. When I saw this video it had a few thousand views haha. thats cool..
+Jesse B you should go back and read your ignorant comment. you were referencing a rwd vehicle. And when you're at my level you don't race or associate or waste your time with drivers that obviously don't know what they're talking about, especially delusional reckless ones that definitely will be in well over their heads using chance/luck as opposed to skill to try to keep...I don't want your life or some innocent bystander on my conscious...go find another fool to go on a clueless ride with...you really think he was intentionally going into an oversteer??? it's called driving at the limit, his wheel work is evidence of that. This dude in the S2000 has official car control skills and you and your "the front would be a bit loose" comment is all the proof I needed to know you have not the slightest of clue about how a car handles PERIOD! FYI - The driver's steering inputs were to keep the s2000 in check...if you were driving at that pace you'd be in the trees lol.
Tell me why my ass put my head lower to try to see the whole windshield😂
😂😂😂
Jesus Amezcua 💀💀💀💀
Jesus Amezcua Oh crap!!!! Hahahaha. I kept finding myself do that watching this only to relax and start doing it again!!!!!
Jesus Amezcua lmao I tilted my screen forward.. 😂😂
Jesus Amezcua did it work? xD
Great driving, you don't mess around. I never had the balls to push my S2K that hard on public roads. Stay safe!
+Zygrene Thanks man, love the NSX!
Zygrene this is Dennis
@@dennissea5155 Denise is a women's name.
he respects blind corners, he is doing it right
Gotta love when people drive sports cars the way they were meant to be driven. keep it up
Sptsmn700 yea but on a track. This is beyond reckless. Idiots.
why did you reply a year later
E Sondi people, they follow the rules, for what?
Ryan Davidson i agree with you
Ryan Davidson heads up we gotta badass.
As a fellow driving enthusiast, parent and tax payer that shares these public roads, I have to say..........

WeJustDrive steering corrections are not mistakes for me
I was actually about to comment on how cold would the tires be, When you turned left on that junction you were not going that fast and it still slid. Great driving.
WeJustDrive should have gotten an EVO then.
Good job with the steering inputs 👍🏾, also that Cayman sounds insane!
Yep, for sure, I don't glorify this kind of things, but, you can do that the good way, or the bad way, this time, it's the good way imo
I was getting ready to ask why you came here then but you came out with the respect. I respect that.
Damn, looked like some parts were quite bumpy for your setup. You handled that very well
+Ridge Chaser Fancy seeing you here :)
+Zygrene oh shit, you're here too?! It's a party!
maximus9401 Haha right?
that was my concern also, but good on him!
this guy is the definition of driver mod lmao theres no way id be comfortable pushing my s2000 this far ever. love seeing what our cars are capable of though. just be safe man, hate to see u wreck ur car or more importantly hurt yourself👍
If he wrecks it’s a decision he made.
Iv literally never seen somebody push their car's suspension so close to the limit as much as this guy has. Nicely done.
Great driving. Takes a skilled driver to drive an s2000 at its limits!! Awesome white on red interior s2000
turn the volume 50% on this video, open a new tab and turn on your favorite eurobeat and minimize it but have volume on 100%... thank me later
thanks!
thanks
Thanks
holy shit you right m8, it surprisingly goes with it. its almost hilarious
thanks
So jealous I never run into people like that. Sweet vid.
+Ethanmeister Lol, you're everywhere
+Zygrene I could say the same about you. I say we just have good taste.
This nigga got a GPW with the all red interior. Talk about a rarity!
In 2023 these go $7-10k on top of more common spec S2k. Low miles for $40k+ easy
Love both cars & drivers, but man that porsche downshifts sound so good !
Yessir Flatsix masterpiece
You must have enormous concentration and great driving skills, great video!
i don't get it, how come on this video we praise his driving, but other togue videos the comments are littered with people calling street drivers like this dangerous or stupid or an asshole, like shit its dope either way
Bob Saget his driving was so incredible, how can we hate on that, when he probably has less chance of crashing, then my grandma going to get more cat food.
S2000 is no joke,light weight,mid engine.....what a track car!love it!
+BMWM POWER not a mid engine though
+Tran Antony Front mid engine**
+Tran Antony he's right. The S2000 is technically mid engined because the engine sits behind the front axle.
That's not how the term mid engined is used. This is traditional longitudinal front engine placement. And yes it's positioned quite far down and back for weight distribution
BMWM POWER they call it front mid, I believe. Regardless the engine position on the s2000 is pretty rad. So much room in front of it.
+nitrous36 when you see the in-cabin POV of the cayman you will notice it is "twitchy" as well. The epitome of sports cars, the gold unicorn of them all!

that's dangerous man... you could end up crashing by pushing it that hard on bumpy public roads

I keep ducking my head while watching this video lol
You've got fuckin' balls man! Driving her the way she's meant to be driven. Props.
Man, both you and whoever is driving that Porsche really know how to drive
just came here to watch how this man was driving a s2000 chasing a porsche, waiting for the oversteer but this was a good drive. Correction are a need on this car with a crazy tail.
While I have obvious safety concerns for the public, you drive extremely well and the videos are rather addictive to watch.
What's this "death suspension setup"?
Mediocre coilovers with bad damping/rebound and not ideal spring rates.
That's some intense driving there, and some bloody beautiful roads you guys got there.
Stay safe, although you're really knowing what you're doing.
You have balls man, I don't know how people can even try to nitpick your driving when I wouldn't even dare to do this lmfao.
You've got some serious balls holy shit that counter steer was on point
This is what I call racing, not that pos going straight.
This is the real life version of The Need For Speed. If anyone remembers that game. When it was a simulator, not the arcade racer it became later.
+nitrous36 I don't think need for speed was ever a sim. gran turismo, project cars, assetto corsa are sims.
+Savage
No the original need for speed and nfs porsche unleashed were sims. Other NFS games were not. But those 2 games in the series were EAs attempt at a sim racer. The original NFS from 94/95 was a sim racer. They tried to mirror each individual cars driving behavior. And even had road & track help. Look it up.
+nitrous36 you're correct. It was my favorite game at the time. I still have it, it's right here at arm's length. Good times.
When you need to do a pursuit with a new car to win and get the new car 😄
Assetto corsa can classify as a sim... but GT and PC? no lol, shoulda mentioned iRacing tbh
I'm not criticizing that mans steering but just watching this scares the hell out of me I've had my fair share of racing through back roads.
BEAT OF THE RISING SUN, BEAT OF THE RISING SUN
I know this is an old video lol but it's great! It brings back a lot of memories. My buddy and I used to do something similar to this on some Ohio back roads. He had his '04 Tiburon and I had my '04 RX-8. The front of the Tib looked pretty good in my mirror ;)
Dam that Porsche sounds so good, and nice driving sir
Yeah boy, love that driving style, pushing it to the limit with little sideways and nice downshifts 👌
Watching this for motivation to get the car done in a few months.
amazing driving, you are a true master of the s2k.
Good lord that was absolutely unbelievable! There is a difference between driving fast and keeping the car on the edge of adhesion like you did. I wish one day I’d could drive like that.😮
That Cayman rips holy fuck
Some say he's still chasing that Porsche !!
Those caymans sound so nice
That was fucking beautiful.
Very good driving Bro. Handled the Oversteer and Bumps VERY Well. Major recpect
*respect
This is some balls to the wall shit, great driving man. That cayman is nasty also lol
this is when he finds out the Porsche was coming home from the grocery store.
simultaneously incredibly slow and uttery terrifying.
beyond the death suspension it looked like a sub 45 degree day (-1C as per the uploader) around those temps you're losing 30% traction (at least!), and the tires are NEVER going to warm up. Driving at 10/10 in these conditions is what separates the MEN from the LADS
YOU HANDLED THAT TAIL HAPPY HANDFUL OF AN S2k like a pro, good on you for those fine-tuning steering corrections, best to be in control than in a ditch
Soooo fucking dope, both the s2k and porsche drivers, driving sports cars the way they're supposed to be
This video gave me chills, very good driving🔥
That Cayman sounds super sick.
One of the best driving POV I've ever seen. Good job!
It's too high.
I was gonna bitch about the really choppy steering inputs but your comment about the cold tires makes more sense.
Yall hit my jump spot in the beginning lol
Ik this video is old but to drive a s2000 on its limits like that it takes skill!!
Came here from bike pages lol, really good driving. Steering control is damn good, you got this bro :)
I actually liked the camera angle, as it added the the drama! That is a video showing a driver who knows his car and its limits. Small steering corrections were definitely needed to keep things tight. Nice driving and good to see you using the car and not just for going to work & back! :)
That Cayman is just singing... Ooo it sounds good and both of y'all are great drivers.
Really impressive driving. Kudos for being able to manage an S2k through those roads!
Damn that Porsche is fast but the s2000 driver is just too good.
Usually i'd say "keep it on the track" but in this case, it's okay because they are actually good and know what they are doing.
This is one of the best pov videos ever. I love it. Q: is the Honda stock?
Ps: wish both drivers to stay safe. The speed in those woods seems insane :-)))
You handled it quite well. Though I sensed your fear for over steering.
Fear for oversteering? You merely adopted the oversteer. I was born in it, molded by it.
+WeJustDrive sounds like bane xD
Mad respect. Genuinely love the sound. I drive my '10 Si like that. Makes me feel like I'm not the only one. Stay safe brotha.
mad props. im sure you get a ton of shit talkers but as someone who has spent my fair share of time on the touge i can say you are a good driver. if that is anything above a boxer s you get major props for keeping up to the porsche.
id love to run with you in my gti.
I just came across this video. These are the streets up in Sparks I love to drive as well with my EVO!! 👍🏼
That slide at 1:47 =)
Love the check engine light
Sweet video... i love that you can clearly hear both car's exhaust note
Woah this video got popular. it just showed up in my reccomended. i swear i saw this video like 2 years ago. in fact i am subbed to your channel on my other UA-cam account. When I saw this video it had a few thousand views haha. thats cool..
my other account is named Ball Sack btw
i would stay off the center line especially in the turns. you are more likely to spin out if it is slick
+Jesse B you should go back and read your ignorant comment. you were referencing a rwd vehicle. Based comment
rarely happens that save a youtube video to my favorites
Very nice driving. Especially impressive on those bumpy roads. Unicorn white on red interior is great combination.
that awwww dammit feeling you get when its a non turbo post
This cayman is very modded indeed ! Amazing can still keep up and catch up the porsche! Great driving skills s2000 👍👌👏😎
I can tell you're a really good driver by the way you take barely any risk but still going fast
86 and an s2k engine is life.
Counter steering and feed back to the road is great. Way to keep that sucker planted and in the goodtrajectory. 🤛 SLAM!
That Porsche was gone. I wish the guy would had stoped and say something to you. Cool vid
Damn that was an awesome POV ride, Surprised ur S2k kept up!!! Awesome car bro, need more of these!
lmfao back again. this video gives me motivation to record more
Badass skillful driver
Great driving but not a chance against that Porsche...even on a good day
Nice dude. Reppin The Honda potential the right way with that skilled driving. Any mods on the s2k? Or tires wheels?
In description
It was not on the limit most of the time. And when it really was on the limit, the car actually looked quite safe and predictable to the inputs.
That awesome Porsche is insanely fast... Honda got no chance
That Porshe wasn't playing around
Looks like you are having a lot of Fun! Would love to join once in the Future 😮
Impressed, good driving..and certainly "on it" whats in the cayman? Very quick
This is what people having fun looks like :D
Dr. Joshima Toshiya approves 👍
Twitchy! Looks like road was moist/bumpy on a Fall day so cool? Nice hands/correction in any case. Enjoyed the vid!
+Christopher Berghout Yeah, it was ~35 degrees out. Bumpy roads and horribly dialed in suspension
+WeJustDrive Love my minus 2.5 degree, 17x9 245-40 square setup on track. OEM supension. Field day! Gotta love S2000 brilliance! :-)
Nice, beautiful and smooth car!
what a nice place to ride those beauty horses
That Porsche is quick
Keep it off the road blahblah, but I'll be damned if that wasnt exiting.
