Yedam is actually fully Korean. He learned English while being a trainee under yg, singing English songs and all in all taking English classes. When he sings an English song, he sounds so fluent~ he’s literally perfect.
It is a well known fact in fans that he is a huge fan of Justin Bieber, he even is dubbed JB of Korea because he often covered his songs since he was like pre-teen. His childhood home has this piano with his pictures and fanarts of him then banmm a JB magazine lol. He went viral for his Baby cover when he was 10/11 on a show called "Kpopstar 2". That and also along with the fact that he is also a huge MJ fan and overall loves western music are prob the reason he got a really good english pronunciation
He listened to english song since he was a kid. If you look for his appearance in Kpop Star 2, his english pronunciation was perfect. He is even better now

Yes a lot of people thought he spent time in an English-speaking country because his English is so good, but he actually lived in Korea all his life. He sang a lot of English songs from a very early age, so even when he was on Kpopstar when he was 10, his diction and pronunciation was already known to be very good. ☺ But he's also actually really fluent in English and was in charge of it when he was in Treasure.
