- Welcome back! We have had a Radical weekend of hardcore qualifying !! Today we get to line up the radical XFWD rides and see who the Top Gun really is!!
The World Series Of Pro Mod invited 25 XFWD cars to qualify for a 16 car field and our great friend and teammate Derek Martin made the field with some of the fastest cars in the county!
In this episode we will follow the event and the racers in it until the end seeing the drama the hard work and raw speed of these 1600hp 4cyl front wheel drive rockets !

kinda cool seeing kyle in a "behind the scenes" mode, not stressing about getting content and making a video, just chilling out with his boys enjoying his time there.

i have been around drag racing and racers since 1985 and i have meet some real guys but let me tell you this i never meet anyone that has as much passion for drag racing as Brent doesand i havent even meet him just watching him for five or six years and his drive and passion is obviously a cut above

The EF was hurt and the other car knew it and tried to leave him on the chip. Well it backfired because he timed out.
It's crazy how serious this type of racing is! Not just for fun and games like most track events.

He knew they were broke or at the least on there last leg, so he was trying to burn him down! It backfired and he went red trying to stage! Even top notch racers don’t realize how fast seven seconds counts down on the starting line !

Basically he rolled tiny bit to much and turned on the red light instead of the second set of yellows.
The left lane driver waited too long to stage his car. Once one of the cars pulls into the staging beams. A timer activates, and the other driver only has a few seconds to stage their car before it triggers a red light. It’s to try and avoid one driver from “burning down” the other. You can hear Brent and Jaime talking about him “timing out”. That’s what they’re talking about.

A deep stage top bulb turns off. Pretty sure the guy helping stage activated the second bulb and it turned off when he lifted his foot. Automatic red light. Seen it happen a few times.
Rewatch the video starting @ 39:33 both cars are clean pre stage (top bulb lit). Right lanes goes in (2nd bulb lit). From that point left has 7 seconds to light the 2nd bulb. Left lane took too long to stage got timed out.
Chief I want your opinion, I was always tought that you don't put a thick tacy assembly lube in the freshly honed or bored cylinder because the thick lube will stay in the cross hatching causing the rings not to seat, I always use the motor oil I plan on using

I feel like maybe he didn’t see the other guy light the button bulb when he did. Because if you watch it and do a stop watch it’s exactly 7 second from the time the bottom bulb is lit till the light goes red.
That's the rule, seven seconds from the time the bottom bulb is lit, & it's controlled by the tree so no one can manipulate anything.
It also looked like he rolled through.
@@89hybrid88 It isn't possible to roll through without turning your bottom yellow on (until the yellows, green and your red have been activated).
It does look like he rolled too far but that was AFTER his red was activated = his bottom stage-yellow never came on (because the computer locks it out until the tower resets the tree for the next run)...

Yup. They knew the dipstick story was BS and the EF was hurt. So he wanted to leave him on the 2 step. The EF was smart and just reved waiting on the other car to fully stage before he got in full 2step. The other car was trying to wait to stage until he heard the EF on 2 step. He wanted to leave the EF on the 2step as long as possible with hopes he'd break or not make a full hit. Well he didn't factor time trying to play tree games and it cost him.
He figured let the hurt EF fully stage and get in 2 step. Wait as long as possible to bump forward.
Had he not played games and ran his race the EF wouldn't have made a pass.

When the EF said it was a dipstick they just said that. They where hurt on their last leg but didn't want to get shut down. Even Jamie knew it by the look on his face when Brent ask.
Well so did the car in the other lane and he tried to leave the EF on the chip knowing he was hurt and it cost him on the time out red.
He tried to make a calculated move and it backfired.
