Cara literally saved my life... I was depressed and not a little but really depressed. I thought I wasn't worth living because everyone hurted me and no one cared about me, at least I thought no one cared. I had family problems and I was bullied by people I really cared about. I wanted dead but then I saw this video and I heard Cara's story. And I thought I'm not alone. she helped me. I own her a lot. thank you Cara♡
I know this is years later, but in reality you saved yourself. So thank yourself. The only individual who can cure depression is the individual who is depressed. You made yourself depressed and only you can get out of it. Any form of help in your depression is an illusion to convince you to help yourself. When a therapist or in your case Cara Delevingne speak of advice and inspiration, it is up to you to carry out the actions of those words. Otherwise, the words become meaningless. But, ignorance is bliss, it's likely best for a person who is depressed not to know that reality and better to believe the illusion that others are helping them, when in reality it is the depressed who can truly lift themselves up.
Cara is such a genuine, caring woman. I love her sense of humor and I want to thank her for bringing mental illness/depression to the forefront. So many people go through life suffering in silence. I hope her message reaches those young girls who feel they are 'not good enough', 'not skinny enough', 'not pretty enough', 'not smart enough', etc...We have to stop this evil machine from churning inside their young heads. They deserve a life of happiness being who they are. Not what society or any other person thinks they should be.
Cara's still far from perfect but what is so admirable about her is the way she carries herself and charges through the myriad of life with such an ardent spirit. She's still young and has much to learn, but watching her throughout the years we can all tell that she is slowly evolving. She's very receptive, open to new experiences and criticisms. She's not taking the easy route too, the way privileged kids do knowing that they have a safety net. She constantly rejects comfort and convention, and receives compliments with humility. This was a very inspiring talk and I'm glad she did this; at least it shows everyone that she is more dimensional than just being that girl who makes kooky faces.

+glenny oc You are entitled to your own opinion, but to be honest it is too easy to say that about someone when you're just a spectator. In most cases such judgments are inaccurate. You are in no position to invalidate someone's personal struggles, and in fact in doing so along with thousands of others like you, doesn't it make the person under scrutiny much more miserable, therefore making their struggle even more reasonable? Yes, she may have been born to a wealthy family, but it's not like she asked for that. And that's the thing. Is it really hard for people to grasp that it's also possible to be wealthy AND talented at the same time? If you listened to the entire interview, you'd have heard her say she feels like she doesn't deserve any of her success and has suffered from self-doubt probably because of criticisms like that. It's not like she's throwing away her money everywhere anyway. She has mentioned in another interview a few years back that she's had to continue with her modelling so she can pay for her acting classes, which is where her heart really belongs. Not just anybody can become so in demand in an industry if there wasn't talent to back him/her up. But her talent doesn't even need arguing. I've seen all of her movies so far, heard her sing, play musical instruments and seen her on the runway and print ads... There is no doubt that she has excelled in all of those, and if you disagree then you simply have a different taste than her fans and you are free to ignore any news/media about her. I am suspecting that most of her haters are just those who got tired of seeing her everywhere on the news. You can't blame her for that though. Everybody knows how intrusive these paparazzi and gossip column writers can be. In fact she has even voiced out her frustrations about having a lack of privacy on her Twitter recently. She is just human, like you and me.
Franz Rebs Yes she has taken the initiative to try varied pursuits yet i look at some friends who have worked hard and have attained post grad levels of achievement in the arts, acting, performance, music etc and they in my biased opinion excellent. I have also see decent but also very average people in the artistic fields get the 'gig' all do to who they know. I have also seen Cara's movies and she did ok but no cigar. How many models have had a shot at acting and singing? I can think of lots of the last few decades. It's all becoming very market driven, model goes into Tv, film perhaps a 'Singing' career.

I wish he would let her finish! She would get somewhere and then he would just have to interrupt and ask her a question that isn't even on the same page as her. Ugh. I hate when interviewers do this. I feel like the speaker forgets their train of thought.
I hadn't heard of this person until tonight, when I watched a rap battle with James Cordon. That woman has real fucking character. She sounds so much more balanced and considered than I did at her age. In 5 years, it'll be interesting to see what she's mastered. Hopefully she directs.
Cara is amazing here, I am so annoyed with Rupert Everett. Such stupid questions, she is not wanting to talk about what she is dong in her career. Her talk about depression is great. I have a new fondness on Cara, such an amazing person.
This is an amazingly sincere interview...i really hope it will help out other people with the same problem to achieve inner peace. Thanks for speaking up, thanks for showing not only your fiercest face, but also the human one. I wish the very best for you, Miss Delevingne!!!
I always knew that Cara was perfect. Perfect because she is happy with herself. Perfect because she is a realistic person who has been through hard things and knows how to speak up. Im pretty sure she will never be silent. I will ve never silent thanks to her. Thank you for inspiring me Cara ❤
I clapped when she said the quote about being comfortable in your own shoes... Forgot I wasn't actually sitting with the audience. That quote is just too good!!
the reason she is all the craze is because she is so unique and different, she often acts weird but whilst other celebrities do that to appear cool, fun, mysterious, deep, etc (like kendall for example , i like her but she is not such an interesting person because she is just a regular girl who is famous and works as a model) but Cara truly thinks differently than most people, she has this weirdness inside of her. she didn't take off her shoes to show that she is "oh so natural and down to earth and such a cool funky person" but she actually IS that cool funky person, and only so few people stand out and have these traits in a positive way. it's completely fine to be regular, you can still be admireable, interesting and successful, but the reason why many artists are successful artists is because they have personalities that are just a little bit off, and cara is one of them
She has an amazing aura around her , and the pain has transformed her into an inspiring , thoughtful and eclectic person. At first I was very disappointed she quitted modelling cause her potential was and still is bigger than life, but now I'm happy to be witnessing such an amazing person, who is much more beautiful on the inside than her looks. And this interview thought me that everyone has its own path, which often is not what everyone expects from you but it's still you. I feel very inspired right now I wish there were more people like her
Okay, first I have to say to those who don't seem to know who Rupert is that he was Prince Charming in Shrek. He was in much more stuff but most of you will actually know Shrek. Okay, back to the Goddess that is Cara. I can't get over how strong she is. If anyone was to be your role model, I'd say her.
Before watching this I thought she was like every other model. Just a pretty face skinny body. But after watching this I love her. I hope she sheds more light on modeling and how fucked up the industry is.
I love Cara because I can relate myself with her. She is so polite and grounded. I feel good for a while when I see her talking, I feel like I have found myself, otherwise I am a very confused person.
this is so uplifting for everyone who suffers from depression, she expresses herself so well. also the fact that the most charismatic and beautiful girl has thoughts like that blow my mind. so grateful for finding this interview, thanks cara!
It is very sad to see that some of the happiest and carefree lookin ppl can be the most depressing ones. I myself can relate, and i bet so many other ppl out thr can too. I was always the class clown, wanting to make everyone happy, make everyone laugh, but doing so, i forgot to make myself happy. And im not taken seriously since im always goin round making jokes and looking all carefree but inside, im suffering. I'm a person, and 've gt feelings. Just because you think ive gt a 'good sense of humor', doesnt mean im ok w ppl stepping all over me. I hate to be a party pooper or making thgs awkward, so everythg, i kept to myself. Robin williams' death came as a complete surprise to everyone, i mean this guy's one of the most talented comedians of all time, keeping ppl of all ages laughing and entertained. You see, comedians, just because they're funny, everyone expects and thinks they're happy 24/7 , and so they put up a mask every single day, burying their problems inside them, little by little, it will bound to explode one day. And it did. Im not implying anythg here, just a theory of mine of why he chose to end his life. Been a fan of cara for nearly 2 yrs now, no way in any point ppl would've guessed she had depression. Goofy, social queen, looking totally carefree and everythg. I mean who could've guessed? Worst thg to do when you're sad is that you have to hide it. And i guess ppl in constant public eye has it harder than us. Having to go on with everyday life, putting on a smile for the cameras and all. Cara's got good ppl around her, her relationship w annie clark seems more positive compared to her prev ones and im glad she's in a good place nw. Just hope that everyone out thr knows that, its okay to be sad, its not a sign of weakness, it shows that you're alive, and you must not be afraid to let others know that. Its always better to be someone with feelings than a stone cold person.
+Bacon Lively 22 "The clown making everyone laugh, but who makes the clown laugh?" So sad but so true. Some of the happiest, funniest, and smartest people on this Earth, struggle internally the most. :(
So fucking brave. Oh my god I can't even imagine facing the world and just completely exposing myself like that and talking so candid about something so extremely personal.
She is speaking wonderfully -from hear heart and really speaking the truth which is sooo great - I feel like how she is taking control in the messages she wants to portray ,the interviewer is not catching on to that very well as he keeps diverting her to modeling or acting talk. She has a storie that is captivating -
aaaaahh!!!!! i cannot stress enough how intelligent she is! she's so far from being fake thats what i love about her, because u see she could've lied and said yeah i have a perfect life and perfect people around me, but no, instead she opened up and said what she really felt, that is inner beauty.
+galaxiesaver not every model is plastic if you know cara you know that her beauty doesn't only go skin deep she has a great personality and she's talking about depression which can happen to anyone even a model
I like how she is telling us the good and the bad. Not just building herself up and hiding the rest like a lot of celebrities try to do. I appreciate her openness and how she is still optimistic even though she's been through some shit. She's proof that things get better. I also love her weirdness and silliness. She's awesome. Also I understand the not crying much, I just have a different reason. I don't cry because I don't want my family to be worrying about me. I'm glad she's doing better.
She is human like us. If she has more money and beauty it doesn't mean that she is different from us.The true is that she is much more talented but everybody has something that make them special. People are divided into good and bad people who do good things or bad things. This is the only divisions that we need to stick. I feel sorry for her and for other famous people. It's not easy when you're famous, you have a lot of money, but that does not mean that you'll have another. Money and popularity are nothing if you don't have things that money cant buy. I want to say we are all humans and we should respect each other. I like Cara personality but i like what i see we need to know person to find out what it is. Everything it's just a mask. It doesn't mean that if she always smilling when she is on stage that she is happy in real life. Sry for bad Engl.
Love this. Her display of vulnerability without fear is so refreshing. This guy was annoying but all the more reason to why I love her and how she treated him with respect
Rupert Everett - could you care less?! Cara you're an inspiration and his entire career doesn't equate to how superior you are in this interview. 24 years old with an incredible level of communication and strength.
Cara is such in inspiration I have always thought she is an amazing person but after watching this it has changed my view on her so much because she is not just the stereotypical model .She is encouraging young girls to go set the bar high in life and even though there may be many ups and downs you will eventually get there. This has been one of the best interviews I have watched in a long time.
And this is why I love Cara so much, all that she's been through. I feel like she could teach girls a lot. Especially about the modelling industry, and why standards of beauty shouldn't define you, she's such a beautiful soul. She may have a gorgeous face (I think), but her soul is more beautiful. I'm subbing to this channel, thanks for posting, Women in the World. :) this content is great
Depression, Women's rights, Ambition, Luc Besson films and Neuroscience. These are all topics I like to discuss I wish there were more people like this in my immediate circle.
whenever I feel shit about myself I come back here and watch this video. such a powerful speech. this girl is so amazing, I really don't think there could be someone more down to earth and real than Cara. she's a gem
I like the kind of person that cara is. She s honestly about herself feelings and its strong to share her issues with the word and tell how she can pass the hard moments well . She isn't only a beauty face she s worthy from inside I think she have a huge sweetheart . Love cara.
does anyone know why she hasn't been seen with Kendall ? I saw the quote photo she posted on Instagram about not everyone is your friend something like that and I think that has to do with Kendall since she's still okay with gigi
I watched this video a million times and it's the best interview of Cara because she is so like you and me so human. I learned so much about Cara in this interview. It's great..!
doesn't matter what he is or where he's from, point is still that a person who has never been through this kind of stuff is so far detached and disillusioned about it that they can't fathom the reality of it and as a result avoid the issue as genuine. only those of us who have had these kinds of experiences can understand the full gravity of what she is talking about and therefore value it.
Anony Mous yes, but when I say he's British, I mean somewhat cold and dry in his manners it doesn't necessarily mean he's dismissing the importance of what beautiful Cara is saying
+Jessica Lang I agree. I'm from London and I barely even notice when people are being cold and aloof. I don't believe that he did ignore her more serious points. It just appeared as though he didn't want to dwell on them.
My gosh! She is polished! Genuinely surprised. Never watched an interview of her before, but hearing her speak her thoughts I am awed. Wow, newfound respect.
I'm sorry Cara 😞, you are still suffering so much, my prayers 🙏. You are beautiful, inside!!!! Your journey is beautiful, please fight for your life. ❤️Leave Hollywood......

+MsTangerinedreams i hope you're kidding?
I wanna hug her tight and never let her go..
relatable
Relatable
Agree
This guy is so annoying, I'm trying to listen to what she is actually trying to get across and he's worried about Rihanna and Kim K, so annoying.
my favourite interview by far. so raw, so real, so beautiful.
"A guard that will never be broken because I broke a long time ago" chills
this interviewer is HELLAA annoying. why tf does he keep interrupting her.
Her pain and inner turmoil is what amplifies her beauty; imperfection is the very essence of art and beauty.
Yass cara. Probably one of her best interviews
the reason she is all the craze is because she is so unique and different, she often acts weird but whilst other celebrities do that to appear cool, fun, mysterious, deep, etc (like kendall for example , i like her but she is not such an interesting person because she is just a regular girl who is famous and works as a model) but Cara truly thinks differently than most people, she has this weirdness inside of her. she didn't take off her shoes to show that she is "oh so natural and down to earth and such a cool funky person" but she actually IS that cool funky person, and only so few people stand out and have these traits in a positive way. it's completely fine to be regular, you can still be admireable, interesting and successful, but the reason why many artists are successful artists is because they have personalities that are just a little bit off, and cara is one of them
thank you!
I feel very inspired right now I wish there were more people like her
I'm seriously in love with Cara Delevingne. Truly beautiful inside and out.
Raw, genuine and authentic. I like that
I never thought I'd ever see a famous girl like her.
i love her voice . .she has great voice .
I wish she would realize how special she is.
+ilovelespotsacforeve i'm sure that somewhere deep down inside, she does :)
it could be better interview if the guy engaged n understood her more..
she was so nervous omg my heart. her hands were shaking so much. she’s amazing
I love how vulnerable she is in her entire talk and that's why I'm big fan of her
Wow this is such an emotional interview. Never realized she was so "deep". She should write a book.
I'm a guy who cares I still look to this video Everytime I have a mental breakdown
Before watching this I thought she was like every other model. Just a pretty face skinny body. But after watching this I love her. I hope she sheds more light on modeling and how fucked up the industry is.
+natalie plyler agree 100% :D
I feel like Cara is one of the rare models who don't even act like a model. she's a real person! I really admire her
This interview helps me so much, I come back here every time I feel down :)
This gives me chills down my spine. I don't know why but it scares me cause I feel so like she did.
This needs more attention
This is my favorite interview of her's. She is so inspiring. I have lost count on how many times I have watched it.
Her accent 😍😍
So much respect for her fearlessly calling out perverse photographers in the industry. More of that.👑💖
I honestly find Cara Delevinge's voice SOO soothing
Wow, her girlfriend is so lucky to have her, I wish I was her girlfriend.
She will marry a guy
tanker508 She's bi sexual so, you will never know who'll she'll end up marrying. male or female.
who's her girlfriend? :0
She's dating this French girl from what I last heard.
+Jazzy J she's dating Annie Clark aka St vincent
She's adorable. If someone doesn't love this gal after watching this - *you need extensive help*.
This girl is absolutely amazing. Annie you know you're a lucky girl.
Jacopo Santilli ... Cara is with Ashley Benson since March 2018. They moved in together in 2019.
+Bacon Lively 22 Robin williams was also going down fast with a brain disease lets not forget that.
+Bacon Lively 22 "The clown making everyone laugh, but who makes the clown laugh?"
So sad but so true. Some of the happiest, funniest, and smartest people on this Earth, struggle internally the most. :(
This is so true and I'm facing the same problems
So fucking brave. Oh my god I can't even imagine facing the world and just completely exposing myself like that and talking so candid about something so extremely personal.
She is speaking wonderfully -from hear heart and really speaking the truth which is sooo great - I feel like how she is taking control in the messages she wants to portray ,the interviewer is not catching on to that very well as he keeps diverting her to modeling or acting talk. She has a storie that is captivating -
Very nice to share such a personal poem and hope you find much more happiness and fulfillment in the end as an actress!
"Writing was something that saved my life." I hear you, Cara. ❤️✨
I adore her voice and accent
it was so satisfying to see her talk and be truthfull about herself ..
aaaaahh!!!!! i cannot stress enough how intelligent she is! she's so far from being fake thats what i love about her, because u see she could've lied and said yeah i have a perfect life and perfect people around me, but no, instead she opened up and said what she really felt, that is inner beauty.
This guy annoyed me
+galaxiesaver not every model is plastic if you know cara you know that her beauty doesn't only go skin deep she has a great personality and she's talking about depression which can happen to anyone even a model
+galaxiesaver models are people with thought and feelings
+galaxiesaver +MakeupbyJaqueline you should be in a couple.
Cara is such an inspiration #Delevingner ❤
Sry for bad Engl.
such a beautiful video but that interviewer was getting so annoying BUT that doesn't take away how powerful her speech was
Love this. Her display of vulnerability without fear is so refreshing. This guy was annoying but all the more reason to why I love her and how she treated him with respect
the poem made me cry-it rings so true
She tries to make a point in her stories and he keeps interrupting her with things that have nothing to do with what she's talking about!! Uuugh
Rupert Everett - could you care less?! Cara you're an inspiration and his entire career doesn't equate to how superior you are in this interview. 24 years old with an incredible level of communication and strength.
it looks like RE was expecting a light and fluffy interview and couldn't change tack when he realised that Cara had something important to say.
I love this interview so much OMFG
She seems like a nice person
:) this content is great
This guy is not listening to her replies, it's not a conversation,, he just asks questions.
Depression, Women's rights, Ambition, Luc Besson films and Neuroscience. These are all topics I like to discuss I wish there were more people like this in my immediate circle.
Me too
whenever I feel shit about myself I come back here and watch this video. such a powerful speech. this girl is so amazing, I really don't think there could be someone more down to earth and real than Cara. she's a gem
totally worth my 17 minutes ... I really love her.
I have so much love for this woman
You're such a powerful and strong real women , such and inspiration I really love her , great role model .
I like the kind of person that cara is. She s honestly about herself feelings and its strong to share her issues with the word and tell how she can pass the hard moments well . She isn't only a beauty face she s worthy from inside I think she have a huge sweetheart . Love cara.
Did she whisper cake after he mentioned Kendall? 😏😏
she did and I find it cute :)
Yeah she do but they are no friends anymore
but why?
i think it has to do with their clothing line
does anyone know why she hasn't been seen with Kendall ? I saw the quote photo she posted on Instagram about not everyone is your friend something like that and I think that has to do with Kendall since she's still okay with gigi
I watched this video a million times and it's the best interview of Cara because she is so like you and me so human. I learned so much about Cara in this interview. It's great..!
Seriously - this is so inspiring! More people need to watch this!
Very clever and so nice to show how you really are without be afraid, very brave person
love her even more now
but not impressed by his trying not to notice all the intense issues she is trying to highlight.
Anony Mous he's British...
doesn't matter what he is or where he's from, point is still that a person who has never been through this kind of stuff is so far detached and disillusioned about it that they can't fathom the reality of it and as a result avoid the issue as genuine. only those of us who have had these kinds of experiences can understand the full gravity of what she is talking about and therefore value it.
Anony Mous yes, but when I say he's British, I mean somewhat cold and dry in his manners it doesn't necessarily mean he's dismissing the importance of what beautiful Cara is saying
+Jessica Lang
I agree. I'm from London and I barely even notice when people are being cold and aloof. I don't believe that he did ignore her more serious points. It just appeared as though he didn't want to dwell on them.
its his job, he has some questions he needed answering to.
much appreciation for this interview. Cara is extremely well-spoken and willing to speak truthfully on extremely important topics.
Her poem speaks to the pressures many models - and other types of celebrities - must surely feel.
My gosh! She is polished! Genuinely surprised. Never watched an interview of her before, but hearing her speak her thoughts I am awed. Wow, newfound respect.
She seems like a lovely person.
I'm sorry Cara 😞, you are still suffering so much, my prayers 🙏. You are beautiful, inside!!!! Your journey is beautiful, please fight for your life. ❤️Leave Hollywood......
It's funny how people in the comments have no idea who Rupert Everett is... There was a world before 2010, folks.
I love this interview.. heard it for the first time 4 yrs ago.. Her words helped me put my pieces back together.. and now m here again hoping for the same
this interviewer did not get it! annoying
He does get it. He's 50 odd his responses are nuanced. If you read his books his been to the lowest points possible. Perhaps he is slightly hinting that she has had an extremely privileged life.
love her voice, it's so calming
This interview got deep so fast
