G'day Shane good to see you and out with your family teaching them what to look for at an early age is very smart as they wont learn that at school my mate from over your way sent me a lot of those sandalwood nuts. As they are good for diabetics and lovely tasting too heaps of different bush tucker in every state and territory to munch on. Stay safe.

I ask prospectors a lot about bush an very few people know, it would be a shame if something happened to them out in bush when a little bit of bush tucker an survival skills could save them.
Sandalwood nuts are three times as healthy to a macadamia nut an has a rare acid that is only found in a few food around the planet
Scientists have proven our immune system is much more stronger if eaten wild foods, me have for years an never really got sick.
I love eating desert succulents when out der prospecting.
Love to catch up one day bro your a true digger an a pal to us all, keep up the good work but don't take it all😅

Great to see you out the bush with the kids. Taking the kid’s into the bush teaching them what you can eat and what you can’t eat is something they will remember. I had a lesson on that snap and stab bush 😢a few years ago.

Anyway, this time of year there will not be any Bush bananas around.
However, later on around mid-winter, you will come across them. We have had a few Dampers with Cogla ( Bush Banana) seeds added and they added quite a nice flavor to the Damper.
What was the name of the tree you got the chewy stuff off?

Looks like fun . Have you tried growing some kurrajong trees because the seeds grow real easy . Also it’s one of mine favourite trees and was my grandfathers too . Ya find nuggets under them on a few occasions too .

Cheers mate. I haven’t tried growing a kurrajong from seed but sounds like something I’d be keen to have a go at. Yes the medicine bush (maroon bush) has little white fan shaped flowers on it. 👍🏽🍻
