I'm a parent of boys not much older than Harry & William were when they lost their mum. Watching the boys interactions with their mother- the snuggles, cuddles, the running hug at school and thinking of how much young boys need and treasure that tactile love, warmth my heart really breaks for them. I can't imagine what my boys would go through without me to ruffle hair or give a spontaneous kiss and squeezes. They lost their mother far too young.

Harry lost his mother at 13 years old. That in itself is an awkward age, but to lose a parent you are so close to. He didn't receive any type of grief or MH counseling. He was raised knowing he was the "spare." He was a normal kid doing stuff teens do and add that to having cameras shoved in his face and growing up with grief. He has grown up and taken all of his mother's dreams and work to heart.

The problem is that he continued his scandals long after he was an adult. He can only blame his behaviour on his mother's death for so long. There comes a time we need to take responsibility for our own actions. Fortunately, his family strongly encouraged to get treatment and therapy.
He was doing so much better, but the past couple of years have been disappointing. It is disappointing that he and his wife have said so many untruths that can be fact checked in seconds. Such is life. Most of us have a relative who we sadly shake our heads over and wish better for. I think they put it well when they said Harry was great when he got his own way.

Yes, many, MANY of us lost parents at a young age and most of us didn't have the support and resources that were there for poor baby Hawwy. John F Kennedy Jr.'s father was buried in front of him on his third birthday but he didn't use it as an excuse to be a spoiled br*t for the rest of his life and JFK really was murdered, unlike Diana who was killed by a drunk driver while not wearing a seat belt and bombing around Paris like a drunken teenager. Hawwy is a middle-aged man. He should certainly be responsible for his own vile lies and awful behaviour.

Not sure why some others who have gone through a loss from death, are expected to deal with life and become a caring and decent member of society and then Harry, as a grown man, who hurts his family and makes selfish, opportunistic decisions, is treated like a child and encouraged to stay there in arrested development. He’s had family stability, professional therapy for many years, a father whom he spoke of fondly until recently and a brother that he was obviously very close to, etc. He was willing to turn against them because he thought it would better his situation. The time comes when it becomes evident that all that’s left is a lack of character and a realization that this person is in it for himself and no one else matters. His family has been replaced by his wife who is equally self serving and she’ll do until he wants something else. No one feels sorrier for Harry, than Harry so he’ll always be looked after. She had 7children and died of double Pneumonia at age 31. I went home to my Daddy and my siblings. I blamed no one. I learned I was responsible how I turned out and I still never blamed anyone if I made mistakes. It’s called tough love.

She signed up her son to take riding lessons so she had an excuse to make visits to the barns to have relations with William's riding instructor. She informed photographers to show up to take pictures of her having fun with her boys. She was far from a perfect mom. The only private time at play was on royal properties.

She's right, when they were younger William was the handsome one and Harry looked quite awkward. I will say Harry looks way better now, he grew into his looks in his late 20s and has looked great since then. While William looks went downhill and he looks older than his years

In every royal family I know about, if the second in line is a boy, they always feel neglected because the system is designed to focus on preparing the direct heir. The others are overlooked as less important, this pushes them to be more rebellious to get attention

In another post I mentioned that Charles didn't have time to raise his kids. I think Harry was good playing sports to bond with Charles. They probably had quality time together, since Charles didn't stopped playing until late. You do what you can to be with your father. Hope Harry feels loved now.
