I don't really get the reader part. Mana Tide Totem on average draws same and has totem synergy. Yeah it's +1 attack and -1 mana but has "Totem Tag", which is... well... kind of pretty important in the totem shaman deck

Every time I play thick minion decks like this I get shit on by devolving missiles, lord barov, libram of justice, plague of death, etc. etc. There are actually lots of answers to totems now unfortunately.
You just refill and go again. The point is to force your opponent to keep using removal until they run out of cards to play. It won't always work but that should be the goal.

I remember when a 4 mana 7/7 was the worst thing Shaman got up to, boy does that seem like long ago.
Well the tunnel Trog was the worst part of that deck to face. A turn 4 7/7 isn't as bad as a turn one 1/3 that has hit you for 15 damage by turn 4.
