Yeah Im starting to think I am becoming allergic to the braiding hair because my scalp get little dry patches sometimes so I have to figure out an alternative with the braiding hair. I usually use Black N' Gold.
Some people have a condition called psoriasis of the scalp and seborrheic dermatitis. Those conditions will make your scalp crust up even after box braids are first installed.
Mine is just one week n my hair is already starting to loose off from the edges of the braids. Growth already and its kinda painful when that hair grows out and the braids pulling on your hair. Like mi gosh😞
Although witch hazel stops the itching it has some amounts of alcohol in it. I wouldn’t suggest using witch hazel for your scalp cause it can cause bald patches overtime or thin new growth.(speaking from experience) Maybe use aloe Vera. But whatever works best for you😊
Oh wow! I’ve never tired witch hazel before, but if it can potentially cause thinning then idk lol. I needs this new growth fully intackedT lol. Thanks for watching btw❤️❤️
Lol aaawwww, it’s okay! At least my tips gave you the indication that it may be time! Don’t forget to watch some of my other videos on taking care of your natural hair once you decide to take your braids out and subscribe for more content! Thanks for watching❤️
3 months? Wow. I've never had them in for 2months! 4-6weeks I got new growth galore and done washed them (knotless included) 2-3 times. Going on 6 weeks now and thinking bout taking em out but lazy honestly so maybe 1 more week
I cant tell where my new growth is because my cuticle is so slick that mine are slipping lol. I wanna take them out because it's almost been a month lol
If they're slipping then it may be a chance the braids weren't put in right. Look up knotless braids tutorial and get your next braids done like that. I promise you wont have any slippage.
All of these signs are true for me but mom says "no you should keep them" it's already been 1 month and half and my hair is growing fast but MOM DOESN'T FUCKING UNDERSTAND
I used to experience the same, i can only recommend moisturizing your scalp (itchiness and dryness), not washing too often (frizz) and not to use non water based products on your braids (build up) Also everyones hair grows at a different speed so enjoy your new growth and don't worry if it isn't 100% as neat as the first day
you know what, just @ me next time please. I should've known it was time because I was looking for videos like this😂when you hit the doin too much part I was like alright i know, my baby hairs are becoming adolescents and ive worn a ponytail for the last 4 days. lemme get the scissors...
I've been trying to hold on because it's only been 2 weeks yet the braiders tuck game was not good and new growth is already hitting that half inch point
Girl, I would take them out. I can not stand when my scalp continues to itch even after I've moisturized it. You can try washing your braids or taking them out and washing your hair. Give you hair a little break from the braids until your scalp stops itching. Check out my latest video on how to moisturize your hair and subscribe to my channel for more vids if you haven't already :)
One month isn't too short especially depending on the size and style of your braids. It depends on you, if your scalp is itchy and flaky even after you've tried to moisturize etc, I would just take them out.
Ugh I didn’t even make it to three months. It’s only been 3 weeks
Wow :\

It still looks cute Hun❤️ I like mine to get old I sleep so much better on em🙌🏾
I like braids but I just hate the process of getting them done. And I always take them down within the maximum 4 weeks
yeah the process can take forever so I understand. And yeah 4 weeks is a good amount of time as well. :)

Question: do people ever re dip their hair in hot water to seal fuzz?
Yes they do, I’ve also done it before! Sometimes our braids need a little extra love and care
Use braid spray to keep your scalp moisturized and use witch hazel to cleanse ur scalp
I didn't think of that. Witch hazel will stop the itch too
Although witch hazel stops the itching it has some amounts of alcohol in it. I wouldn’t suggest using witch hazel for your scalp cause it can cause bald patches overtime or thin new growth.(speaking from experience) Maybe use aloe Vera. But whatever works best for you😊

Mine been in for a little more than a week but I’m having all these symptoms. Should I take them out ?
Just a little more than a week? Hmmm... then I would take them out if you haven't already.

6 weeks that’s about what I do usually. I don’t like keeping mine too long especially if they start looking dusty lol
@@LenaMelanista true or even smelly
Is one month too short?
