Could watch these three chat about records for a full hour
+Stamp The Wax Fact.
All day every day
yup
link?
Yes. They need to make a part two!
These guys could have their own TV series just doing this forever. So good.
YES gotta love theo. More house/techno dj's on the show is a good idea!
It's fun to watch people be so passionate about records you haven't heard yet.
Life is strange and beautiful. Years ago, while I was working on my dissertation, every Friday I would work at coffee shops throughout the DC region. One day in a little coffee shop in Ballston, the barista was blasting a track called Flowers. I Shazamed the song and would listen to it every now and again...I just saw the name Theo Parrish clicked on the video and have come full circle. Most of life isn't like that, but for me music always comes back. May the circle be unbroken.
These guys need a podcast or something
Love theo man. Yall need more electronic music producers on this show
"I need that in my life" is my favourite quote while in a record store.
It took me like 45 minutes to get through that vid stopping to save and buy tracks and take mental snapshots of the covers so I can spot 'em in the bins. 12:17 of gold and knowledge from true masters of their craft. Thanks.
Awesome to hear you got so much out of it. Thanks for watching!
Same here! :D
Theo Parrish is a detroit legend. I had the honor to see him play last year in Miami, wicked set.
Electric Pickle?
@@dereklavernia3185 yes! ages ago now it seems
Chicago legend
Such deep and passionate knowledge of the history of music is a beautiful thing. Reals DJs got to be real diggers
I couldn't care less about any form of dance music but it's always good to watch people speak passionately about music and their connections to it.
These pioneers from the Midwest are taking folks back to school on the roots of what it means to be a DJ. Parrish is one of my personal favorites in terms of music producers. He was feeling Hiatus Kaiyote. That's dope!
This might be my favourite video of all time...
history lesson
These guys love life and love their music. Keep on doing it!
Some legends right here :)

Anyone know what's the tune at the very end of the video?
+Iain Mckenzie Marsellus Pittman & Theo Parrish 'Selector's Theme'
Same EP as the intro track :)
Nice one, thanks very much!
i think zernell mistook the stephanie mills record for another one called "put your body in it," which is much more electronic
Is this the longest "What's in My Bag" episode ever?
+Robert Sparling Yes and no. We only have one episode that clocks in longer than this one but it was a special edition episode that functioned as two episodes in one, exploring the best of our own series in the first part and doing a straight forward WIMB in the second. Total runtime on that one is 14:28. ua-cam.com/video/Rta65euJLKg/v-deo.html
+Amoeba gratitude!!! let it be! bless - Radius
+Amoeba They had an awesome selection
+Robert Sparling not at all the longest far from it
+Amoeba well i could have sworn you guys had a least 2 others longer than this one or at least it feels like a few are really long ??
