The Warriors entered the summer over the second apron - no cap flexibility - and one late second round pick. Horrible.
They added amazing talent, depth, youth and cap space flexibility.
They're still skimping at the center position. But skimping at the center position got them 4 championships. It's not a bad tactic at all.
Lauri is a player to make fans drool - yes. But gutting depth to get a player who can't stay available is not the way forward.
I like where the Warriors are. Can't wait to see them roll out this lineup and start developing their youth.
Warriors need to move on from Lauri. Utah is a joke and wasting time.

Love that some fellow fans dont want to go all in for Lauri. I think we have great young talent, Kerr just has to give them a chance. I love Klay, but people kept saying I was not a "true" Warriors fan. The Warriors need Kerr to put trust in his young talent and not rely so much on Klay who was having an awful season last year. That is why I wanted him gone since the Trade deadline. It would benefit both parties. They have a better rhythm with the young guys. They were 5-0 without Klay on the lineup last year.

Markkanen won't be traded! Kings went to DeRozan because Utah didn't want to trade him (for a reasonable amount), that leaves Warriors in pretty bad situation, which means if Warriors want to have Markkanen it would be for at bad cost! For example Kuminga will be packed in the deal.
That’s exactly what we need a BIG MAN pick and roll, limit second chance points, and defensive paint enforcer and Lauri is the perfect big for us because he can shoot also🤞🤞🤞 I don’t think we get him either but I’m at least happy we’re finally trying to get Steph the help he needs

So I'll take this stance on Kuminga being traded( as much as I don't want the warriors to do that). For Curry, trading Kuminga for Markannen is worth it.
Giving up a future prospect, for a chance to Win Now, should be desired for Curry.
When you look at the lineup, it's Steph, Melton, Wiggins, and Draymond as the starters, and they will put JK at the 4.
Kerr has said he doesn't like JK and Wiggins both out there, it's clunky.
Wiggins, because of his contract, is not a highly desired trade asset, so trading him away will yield a worse deal than keeping him, currently.
If you glance at Markannen' stats, he was nearly a 50, 40, 90 type of player... If Kuminga had that stat line, we would be thrilled.
Kuminga ceiling, realistically, is that of Jaylen Brown( which if he ends up being that, that's a success for Kuminga as Brown has accomplished a lot like finals MVP)... But he's probably not going to be that cornerstone... And to be frank, neither will Markannen.
They won't be in that convo of top 10 players in the league, going forward.
So, Markannen right now, for this Curry-Warriors timeline is a better fit than Kuminga.
I pray you’re wrong about this potential starting lineup. If the Warriors start Draymond at the 5 then after the beating we took last year, we haven’t learned a thing. This doesn’t have to be hard. Unless we can finalize a trade, start TJD at the 5. Period. THE END! JK at 3. Let Wiggs, Moody and Podz fight it out in training camp to see who replaces Klay. (I think Moody or Wiggs but let’s see.) What is it about getting bigger and more athletic are we not understanding? Starting Podz next to Steph and Draymond at 5 is a recipe for disaster.

Keeping Lauri does nothing for the Jazz. They need a major rebuild and declining the assets offered by the Warriors is a stupid move by Ainge. Keeping Lauri won't provide any benefit for them.

If we don’t get Lauri , there’s no reason for the team to play basketball in the next year or two. Just tank for the 2025 draft, pray we get a good top 5 pick and hope he’s ready to play right away.
Dunleavy should have focus on DeRozan. Ainge ain’t serious. DeRozan guarantees King a playoff.

Jazz were NEVER looking to unload him!!! It’s like blood in the water for sharks. Other teams understand the Jazz are not close to a deep playoff run so they are trying to pry him away. Ainge will ONLY trade if he gets a godfather offer. If not he will not trade his best player that wants to stay where he is. Pretty simple.

It wouldnt make sense to get Markannen and lose Kuminga. This is obviously why the deal has gone this long and probably would not happen at all. Willing teams dont get this long to make deals. PG to the sixers and M Bridges to NY were the biggest deals this off season, and neither took this long to close. As for the Warriors, they should now move on and find other deals. You would probably get Kuzma in a lot less of first round picks. Ingram's contract is huge to take on. Other than Kuzma, not sure if there could be another deals out there. I honestly thought we could have landed Derozan instead. Kings got a really good deal out of Barnes. As a Warrior fan, I also thought we could have signed Mo Wagner over D Melton.

I actually do like the idea of Ingram on GSW. He's great at passing to cutters, great in the pick n roll.
He would generate a lot of open looks for Curry or moody, forsure.

Kuminga is basically Andrew Wiggins, but I wouldn't trade him yet. We had Markannan in Chicago he's a 3rd or 4th best player type of guy, not a good number 2 option. Jazz is gonna win the trade with whoever bites on this one.

Hield is NOT40 from 3. It’s 38 percent. Klay and buddy literally have the same exact stats. The exact same except defensively Klay holds players below their league average at 2 and 3 pt field goals. Klay shot better form 3. He’s traded and that’s fine but stop comparing him to Buddy. Keep that same energy when Buddy shoots those same stats.

If it's going to take Kaminga to make this trade, I say include him. Because to this day we can only speculate that he will become an elite star. So far all we seen is an average to good player, that once in a while makes bad decisions in key moments, and can be inconsistent. The plus on Kaminga is his athleticism, which is off the charts, but Ben Simmons was the same, and look how far it has taken him. We don't need a Ben Simmons, we need a guy like Markkanen . A big that can stretch the floor and can make 3's at a high clip. This is a no brainer, I think we should include Kaminga, and call it a day.
Well it's mainly because that forward position( someone that you can slot in the 3-4) is highly coveted across the league. Damn near every team right now in the NBA could benefit from an athletic forward, a 2 way player, that can defend and shoot 3s( although Kuminga has been shy to shoot 3s, so he's less of a 4 and more of a 3). But since JK is 21, everyone sees the same thing we see; a promising young star that can develop and be that GUY.
I've heard that the Kuminga rumors that he's wanting a max contract might be turning off Utah a bit too. You guys know, Kuminga doesn't start, he's not an All-Star. Yes, he's major athletic. He's a decent three point shooter, but not great. I've heard many times that unless an offer makes the Jazz say, How can we not trade for this?, is the only deal they'll accept. Teams like even the Kings think they had a good offer, but obviously it just made Utah say meh.

Franz Wagner kinda set the bar now for what to pay a quality Small forward. He's like a 19 ppg type of SF, kinda bad 3-point % but does everything else pretty well.
If Kuminga averages 19 or more, and has decent 3-point %( let's say around 38%+) he's going to want more than what Wagner got. And on top of that, Florida contracts are worth more because of the income tax thing 😂
