As someone who can't play the piano that well, something I've noticed when I watch tutorials where they play the melody in versus pencil it in, is that it makes it feel less "do-able" for me since it ties it to the skill of needing to know how to play the piano. Sometimes this will even make me turn it off and go to a different tutorial. Then when I watch a tutorial where the beat was completely penciled in, it gives your mind this feeling where it's like "well I can pencil stuff in too, so that means this tutorial is more helpful then if I subconsciously thought I needed to play it in" so it makes you convince yourself that its a tutorial worth finishing, versus maybe turning it off if I see them play the melody in. Just a random thought, feedback I guess, psychology of why some people may or not not stay on your videos haha.
Bro whenever I see u UA-cam notification popping on my phone...I just find myself smiling coz I know it u always drop dope vedios that I can never miss them....u nailed it bro...THUMB UP FOR U!!!
hey love your videos man these and the mixing ones have been the most helpful, one thing though, i have this issue with open hats, i want it to slide perfectly into the snare, depending on the tempo that doesnt always happen correctly, ive ajusted the envelope so that the sample ends when the snare hits BUT the sample hasnt played the whole sound yet, so it doesnt slide clean into the snare. is there a way around this?
Attack / release all the way to the left, decay / sustain all the way to the right. It’ll create a box. Then drag the midi note as long as you want it to play
@@LifeStyleDidIt I appricate the reply! I have done that, but the open hat sample itself will get cut off before the whole sample finishes, like i want the open hat sample to be able to play the whole sample, then go into the snare, while fitting into a half beat or a whole beat, thanks again
@@edwardcontreras3568 sounds like the actual length of the open hat is too short. You can try just placing it in the song window (as a wav sample) and stretching it, then enabling different stretching times and see which sounds the best. If you have to stretch it really far and it’s super short, it’s just not gonna work or sound good.
I love your content bro but can you switch it up a little. It has mostly been you making beats with a keyscape electric sunburst and arcarde and the drums for past year i think so. No offense meant, just genuinely would love to watch you do something new now cause you are crazy good with melodies. Maybe you can try a pop song next ?
Sup Lifestyle, cool vid as always! You remove a beat block with ease. one thing tho - your links to your kits leading to 404 pages, can you pls check them? I wanna get those smooth drums like yours 👽
Love that little jazz background music, it makes everything more entertaining in my opinion

how do you record a melody over your chords without fl deleting your chords in the piano roll like that?
Duplicate keyscape and record on the new one!
Or you can click/unclick “over dub/loop recording” at the top, it’s one of the buttons next to the bpm
🔥🔥🔥🎶
Thank you!
