Hi NWA ! You really did a nice of explaining the BSA Super 10 regulator!! It looks like you've done some teaching before. Thanks so much for.this and any other super videos in the future. Super 10 info is hard to find in the US. I have original model. It was one of the first several hundreds oft of the factory. I shot a few pellets when I got and it's been cased up since it is vertually brand new. Thanks again! Rod

For you, I can find out about the diameters oring , thank you. Your video is very informative.

its not a compressions chamber ,but its plenum with a certain volume and controled pressure.so the projectile gets the same speed til the pressure from the botlle is lower then the sett pressure from the reg ,some get the huma reg to build in it ,to get a easy adjustable reg ,that can be set at the sweet spot. to find the sweet spot is to remove the original reg and use a outside inline adjustable reg and botlle ,and shoot and adjust til you find the smallest group. and then set the inside reg at that pressure and put the gun together

My Apologies! I watched your video again and saw that the annulus side of the double seal piston was "separated" from the compression chamber, making it a true pressure regulator! however what is there to prevent pressure leaking past the double seals and going into the annulus side and causing variations in regulator output especially with even slight "o" ring material breakdown??? regards, doogle.

I believe you may have the mechanism description wrong!
as much as the regulator looks like a pressure reducer, I believe it may not be!
it would work as a pressure reducer if the anulus side of the large double seal piston plunger remained unpressurised! but this does not look possible because the transfer port is on the anulus side of the piston plunger!!! if this is the case then it would only be a fine tuneable preventor valve! which prevents rapid refill durring firing!!! which would mean that the power adjustment is compression chamber "volume" based.

Can some one please tell me what are specs of fat Oring that sits inside regulator in fill valve on which ball bearing sits and also please let me know specs of oring under pressure gauge. These questions are for BSA R10 MK 2 .22 cal

Can yon explain how to adjust the anti bounce back?

Well, it's just a detent with a spring, yes? It is not adjustable. You can clean it up so it works properly if has become sticky.

I commend you on an excellent video. However I have to say that this is so over designed it is hilarious.I am still laughing, talk about lets make this so nobody can copy it. Who the ell would want to copy it, it is so over designed that even the over design is over designed.I think that this must be the only air rifle with four or is it five poppet valves when two would do.I'm a firm believer in the 'KISS' principal and although the engineering looks really good and well done with this many moving parts to wear and fail sods law says they will.Still your description made all those moving parts understandable.Regards msef

Yes, by golly, it's patented!!! Thanks for the comment, I understand what you mean. Even John Bowkett himself uses a different regulator when he is personally responsible for a blueprint super 10. Tells me that what is designed often isn't what is produced. Even with all our complaints, if it didn't shoot so good we wouldn't bother with all this stuff, would we?
