Yeah, it's your voice again, thank you!!!
0:36 Because that can. And people sill still buy it hoping it'll transform them into the next Timo Boll. Plain & simple. I've played with Hurricane 3 commercial for some time now. It's around $30 a sheet. One day at club I traded rackets with a cadet who hit with Tenergy 05 at the time. This Cadet was top 25 in the USA and rated around 2100 USATT so a good player. I was struck how he still hit with just a much spin & power with my racket and I still hit about the same speed & power with this with Tenergy 05. I'm not trying to say rubbers don't matter. Clearly they do. I just think the difference between them is overblown. You either have great technique or you don't. That plays a much bigger factor.
Finally your voice is back, thank you very much! :)
Thank you coach for your amazing and natural voice, now it feels like i am enjoying your videos a lot more!
I use Nittaku Fastarc G-1, it has a hard feeling (rubber topsheet is also firm), but feels very precise to control. I tried Tibhar MX-S, and I found it to be more challenging to control (must be conscious with footwork, also more physical effort is required to hit), but it is more powerful regarding top spin & speed combined.
Yes, the voice of the legend is back!
Right now I’m currently using MXS on forehand and MXP 50 on backhand. Paired with an inner force zlc, this rubber pairing I have found to be a good alternative. G1 as well is an excellent choice, I’ve found this actually to be quite gripper but not as durable.
Hi, how hard is it to control your backhand? The mxp 50 is very hard so I'd like to know how it is. I prefer a softer rubber for my backhand
I'm so happy to hear your voice again coach :) and very informative video Thank You
Can you do the best Dhs Blades starting from Budget ones to Highends
I use Nittaku FastArc-G1 on my forehand and Tibhar on my backhand.
donic baracuda (and tibhar genius) were also good, affordable and durable alternatives which came out soon after tenergy 05 release and can produce a lot of spin and have high throw angle
right ....... baracuda = < gewo nanoflex
@@guesswho710 thanks for the suggestion, i might try it one day
In Europe the t05 is mostly used on forehand, not backhand. There's nothing like the t05, the donic rubbers just don't cut it, they lack feeling. Japanese rubbers don't have the spring feeling and other German rubbers feel completely different and unique. The t05 is trully one of a kind, there's no real substitute, only alternatives with differences, nothing gives you the spring sponge feeling of the t05. Plus about durability, t05 is very durable and can last up to 1.5 to 2 years, but reglueing ruins European and Japanese soft rubbers, it's recommend to reglue them only once in their lifetime to freshen them up, they are sensitive but the sponges shouldn't crack, they don't require much glue or force to remove, they need gentle handling.
My tenergy 05 died in 1 year ı play 4 days 2.30 hours except summer i played 05 fx on backhand and same
@@Stiga05fx that's good, a normal rubber wouldn't have lasted as long
2 years! I don't think T05 can last so much. I play 4 days a week. After 4 months the rubber feels not the same. Loses its grip and feels a bit dead. I'm using now Andro Rasanter R48 in forehand, don't really like it, and Tenergy 19 in backhand. T19 lasts longer than T05 and is a very nice rubber.
But they are too expensive. 90 US$ un Peru. So I'll try another options. I liked MX-S very much in backhand, it's a bit heavy. In forehand I liked T05, but as I say, it's an expensive rubber and doesn't last.
Victas V22 on forehand and Joola Dynarys ACC will be my next.
@@aldopalacios3357 I play 3-4 times from 2 to 3 hours, t05 lasts me a loooooong time. It does need regluing after some time though, so maybe that's what's wrong with it...
@@davidsomo1651 English dude
I have tried to find an alternative for ternegy 05 with no success. I have tried some of the rubbers mentioned however I always go back to ternegy 05.
What do you think about tibhar powergrip red edition?
He’s back 😎🏓 !
1:40 nop, he’s not 🥸
I prefer your chinese accent, i think it's cool =]
I finally use Nittaku Fastarc G-1 on forehand, it's even better to control than Tenergy 05 for me.
I just got mxp for forehand and Grass on backhand
Great video
The replacement for Tenergy05 seems to be the Omega series. I'm using the Omega7asia version on behalf of Tenergy.
Whats the blade used in the thumbnail?
Must say very informative and useful
Estou usando a DHS Goldarc 9 H38, lançamento 2024, muito similar à Tenergy 05
Honestly, the ENTIRE ORIGINAL "Tenergy" series by Butterfly are completely outdated by the new ITTF ABS based plastic ball rather than the softer celluloid ones. Therefore, a combination of harder rubbers with more compacted density in the sponge would be the perfect way to go.
that's why there's hard version now.
Comentario magistral. Gracias
Donic Barracuda - More spin, higher throw angle than T05, but less speed.
Andro rubbers Rasanter 47 and Hexar are really good.
Can I request U about alternative of Dignics09C?
Please Please Please....
Blue fire m1 turbo lejos la mejor opción.
I miss your voice coach thanks for comeback
How about the dhs gold arc 8?
The Xiom Vega X should be presented as an alternative, aswell.
It's sponge is similar to Vega Pro but has a new topsheet to generate more spin.
I play the Vega X for about a year already and its really near to the T05.
Its price is about 30-35 USD so its very cheap compared to T05...
Everyone should give it a try, in my opinion🏓🏓
I recommend AK47, Moon speed, Ckylin pro, loki T3, 729 Aurora
Ak47 feels just a tad weird to me, but I'm currently using it as backhand on my tb alc, and it's really not bad at all for 50 rmb (7usd)
@@uchihasasuke7436 you must live in China. Outside china its more like $13
which one them do you feel the best
@@manjilyagaan7090 all pretty close. Maybe AK47.
Thenk you. Gut to Now.☺️
Love the reviews.thank you
please make top cheap rubbers
Thank you lots🏓🔥
Muito bom. Obrigado! ❤
Just get the Rosanna and boosted with Falco long and you got yourself a T05.
Es posible probar en Rakza Z Extra Hard potenciada para obtener Dignics 09 ?
Si fuese posible sería incluso mejor, ya que Rakza Z es más tacki que 09c.
Don't be self conscious about your voice, it is a million times better than the text too speach
Thanks, good info
Glad it was helpful!
Whats your opinion to hexer powergrip?
An even cheaper option: Reactor Ckylin Pro (Chinese Donic Bluefire clone) - a great backhand - grippy (not tacky) Chinese rubber
Always put in my new players is cheap and good
needs boosting
@@Waingro808 I use for new players for the first grippy rubber after change to other better rubbers
I think that Palio AK 47 Blue is better. The same price.
The video is like a Tenergy05 commercial rather than an advise of its cheap alternatives.
What about joola rhyzm p coach ?
Sorry but i will still stick back with T05, the feeling i have with the rubber is irreplaceable.
Xiom X are not expensive and really cool , I played with tenergy 05 before
Hello,
I played with almost all these rubbers, I think :
Donic bluefire M2 => a very good substitute of T05, it's more than enough for the majority of players, less grip and dynamism than T05 but less spin sensitive so...
Yasaka Rakza 9 => a love this rubber but it's more a substitute of T64 than T05. Medium low throw angle, dynamic, big mecanical grip
Tibhar MX-P => the same, more a substitute of T64 than T05. Medium throw angle, very dynamic
Nittaku G1 => it's a substitute a T05, less dynamsim but more control and harder feel.
Xiom Vega pro => never played with
Other options :
Yasaka Rakza X => same as G1 but with lower throw angle, more a T80 subsitute.
Yasaka Rakza 7 => "same" as T05 with lower throw angle
Tibhar MX-S => same as G1
Nittaku P1 => same feeling as T05 but lower throw angle.
What do u think about joola carbin x pro?
It has micron 48 rubbers 2 mm
I use the yasaka Rakza 7 and it just can't grip onto the ball. Very low amount of spin. More of a blocking, smashing rubber.
I have used the Vega pro as well as all the other rubbers mentioned. G1 suits my particular game style best, but the Vega Pro is (to this date) the best performing rubber below $40 per sheet.
The MX-S is very similar to the G1 playstyle (relitively same angle, dwell time, and control) but has a different feel and has more power. The MX-S also has the about the same max spin but it's access to spin is a little less. The MX-S is better for mid range play where as the G1 is better for close gameplay between the two. Both are quite suitable for either backhand or forehand but the G1 makes a better backhand than the MX-S and the MX-S a better Forehand. Lastly, the G1 will last about 2.5 times longer than the MX-S. This is in part due to the G1 not being a tensor rubber.
@@lavasurfer22 The new Vega X ten feels quite good for the forehand for me. Doesn´t quite have the same speed/spin as the t05, but great control by comparison
That's my coach!!! [I am a bluefire player!]
1.Bluefire M2
2. Yasaka Raksa 9
3. Fastarc G1
4. XIOM Vega Pro
5. Evolution MXP
yes
how about mx-k normal version..
it's also very good choice..
Can u do a video with micron 48 rubbers??
What about Gewo Nexxus el pro 48?
Many players are using this rubber currently... 🤔
Donic BF M2 - beginner and intermediate level is best rubber. ALL in 1 (all good but not exellent) - best forhand beginner rubber / best backhad in intermediate. (m2 - tenergy 05 FX felling 4 me) T05 is faster and catapult effect is big...
Can you do an alternative for DHS Hurricane 3 national blue sponge..... really expensive 😅
One secret, some professional players tested the three different editions of Hurricane 3 on the same blades, including normal version, provincial version and national version, then failed to distinguish which one is the best. Considering that only national and provincial versions are equipped with blue sponge, so the best alternative will be the provincial version Hurricane 3.
nr 1 you spoke about M2 but in your video is M1
nr 2 i come from Europe so i play with 05 because have spin and high arc = attack from short distance ( topspin )
nr 3 do you hear about gewo nanoflex FT .... try it and then make videous ( many people are submitted to your channel )
nr 4 barracuda ( but heavy ) 50 gr cut
nr 5 everything is around setup .... blade flex=medium=stiff with corect rubber ... no more words
BEST SET-UP HIGH-ARC
TB-ZLF 84 GR + barracuda-barracuda = 184 gr
VISCARIA 90 gr + tgy 05 with 2 layer boost = 186 gr
VISCARIA 90 gr + nanoflex-nanoflex = 180 gr
Nice review!!
Thanks ,this Video is perfect because i was looking for a New racket and wanted to have the tenergy 05 on the backhand but its too expensive so i was looking for cheaper alternatives .
Coach! What about cheap Chinese rubbers!!!?
why do you recommend tenergy 05 as a backhand rubber rather than forehand? I tend to rely on my forehand drive quite a bit for offense, and I'm used to hitting quite flat, so I feel as though tenergy 05 would synergize well with my playstyle for forehand. I rely on my backhand mostly for catching "oddballs" and use an unconventional backhand loop technique to keep these tough receives on the table
if you want it for hard hits and flat balls then use dignics 64(best dignics in my oppinion)
Tenergy 05 isn't very suitable for flat hits I think. It has very high throw angle so the balls will just fly away on a flat hit :D if you want to hit flat, get something like rakza 9 or some other rubber with low throw angle like tenergy 64
@@peterkajan6645 what about 05 fx and 1.9 or 2.1
@@Stiga05fx 05fx has less throw angle than T05 but it's still high. I use t05fx 1.9 on my backhand for control. Since you can't have a big swing with your backhand, higher throw angle rubbers are better for more shot safety. Also, T05 and it's derivates have a very grippy topsheet. If someone is doing higher spinny shots (like lobbing with backspin, sidespin or topspin), you'll have a harder time smashing the balls, because the rubber reacts on spin very much.
Also I have to mention, that I use t05 2.1 on fh, so I know how it is. But I have a loop playstyle so I use the spin very much. The original commenter said they flat hit a lot, so I recommend a less spinny rubber on the forehand.
Hi...what about micron 48 from joola?
What do u think?
XIOMならぱ、VEGA PROでは

What if i used victas 15 extra at backhand? That rubber has hardness 47.5 deegre..its have same deegre with tibhar mx-p…What your opinion sir?
I believe that could be a real option. I'm playing next with Victas 22 on forehand and maybe v15 would be great for backhand. I'll try Joola Dynarys ACC for backhand next.
Timo Boll 34 years old, Tenergy 05 both sides? Is this video back from 2015?
R7 is the best in its price, great
Hope they make a Dignics 05fx
I think that no player would use "alternatives" after having used a Butterfly, now if a player is starting this would be a very good option, but I think that once the butterfly is used there is no going back, if the player wants to keep his level and continue advancing is forced to continue using the same rubbers
Hello Lizet, I disagree. I've used Tenergy 05 and wasn't impressed. £55 a sheet is extortionate. I've used much better rubbers in the past. I won't be going back to Tenergy 05.
Currently using Tibhar EVOLUTION MX-P. For me a GAME CHANGER!! And it's cheaper!!
Totalmente de acuerdo. Para 15 € de diferencia Tenergy es superior a todas las gomas Europeas y Japonesas.
Any thoughts on Donic Bluestrom Pro or Bluestorm Z1 Turbo? These two seem to me to have a lot of spin and speed.
I'm using Donic Bluestorm z2, Feels simular to Pro but has more spin and is slightly softer in feel. Slightly worse in close to table counters but better from 1.5 m away
@@tab.letenni, I've switched from Bluestorm Z1 turbo to Pro. I have it on ALL+ blade cause on OFF- and higher, it is way too fast and hard. In general, I think, Donic is a decent and cheaper alternative to the more costly Butterfly.
Can you do an alternative for dignics09c ?
Rakza Z / Rakza Z Extra Hard. He said it on "best backhand rubber" video
Yasaka Vsco ..old time player
Summary: Tenergy is not for everyone and there are way more alternatives than the five rubbers mentioned.
you also can try yinhe moon as an alternative rubber. it has high tension and cheaper
Quizás su esponja admita Booster ?
is there any chinise brand which has more similarity or clone
Try DHS Gold Arc 8
I am using Dignics 09C on forehand and Tibhar MX-D for backhand on a Xiom Vega Euro blade. While D09 cost me almost double of MX-D i find the MX-D to be faster and a bit more hard. The MX-D suits my looping game better and plan on getting MX-D on both sides when i change my rubbers. D09C didnt work for me...
Gewo material is good alternative material...
Oh I see, but How do you think about Victas V15 Extra rubber?
Hello, I played with V15 Extra max on a TSP Swat power for 2 years.
It's a very specific rubber, it is very spin insensitive. So it is very good on service return, block and counter top spin but weak on serve and slow spinny top spin.
The first top spin lacks of rotation but after, mid distance counter top spin is a peace of cake.
So, it's definitively not a T05 substitute, but it's a unique weapon for a counter initiative player.
@@418jp Thanks bro!
Nittaku goriki kaisoku rubber is very fast rubber with cheaper price.
Butterfly rubbers are overprice.
Hurricane 3 Neo H37 is all what we need.
1) Donic bluefire M1
2) Yasaka Rakza 9
3) Nittaku Fastarc G1
4) XIOM Vega Pro
5) Tibhar Evolution MX-P
4)Vega pro>Omega 5 pro

You are missing DHS Gold Arc 8. The closest to Tenergy.
Personally not agree with Dnic bluefire replacement for T05, I do play T05 for fee yearsc but try Donic bluefire totally different feeling, just play twice and say sorry. T05 too much better
結局テナジー05が一番、これに敵うラバーはないと思う。
Do you also consider Stiga Mantra as alternative to Tenergy 05???
Godd substitutes for Tenergy 05 on forehand and Tenergy 64 on backhand I had so far:
Fh: Xiom Vega Pro
Bh: Xiom Vega Asia
Fh: Nittaku Fastarc G-1
Bh: Nittaku Fastarc S-1 / Donic Coppa X1 Gold
I started ping pong only with your coaching videos. I got 2 championships, 1 2nd runner up and 2 MVPs on team events lol... stopped for 2 years bcuz of the pandemic and came back just a week ago.. it's just sad to watch your new videos not hearing your voice lol
the problem with this recommendation video is that the people who can play with a tenergy 05 and would need an alternative already know what rubbers to use so the ones watching this are not so high level players and they should actually use softer rubbers like vega europe, rakza 7 fx, donic m3, etc
Bahasan yang menarik untuk kaum hemat.
Old voice 🥰🥰🥰
So, if tenergy is listed as number 1 in your backhand rubber video, why arent many of these cheap alternatives even on the list of good backhand rubbers?
cheap alternative to t05 is a 1/2 used t05 that you get for 20€ on vinted or ebay, that's it :-) 90% of kids watching these videos have max 2 yrs of practice and still think they need 80€ rubbers and 180e blades for playing at their 1000 level :-)))
Why are there no Dignics FX?
That would be Nice if this Happens…….
Incroyable. Il n’a même pas le courage d’utiliser sa propre voix.
Personally, the best thing that could be used without having to buy the butterfly rubbers, the best purchase would be Cornileau target pro GT-H47, they are like Nittaku G1 but with steroids and super power in every way buying the 2 Corlineau rubbers is almost like buying 1 Butterfly Rubber in Price
El precio de esa goma actualmente es de 50 €, además es difícil de conseguir. Por 10 € de diferencia no merece la pena. Yo también estoy cansado de las políticas sobre los precios de Butterfly.

Coach, I missed your real voice!
I miss this voice so much
I will stop playing table tennis sooner or later because it became exhausting for body and financial, for body because i have to keep practice or train or do something to keep my body fit, with my life situations i can't find to make that and also time to play, i have another hobbies too to do and spend for, and financially it sounds it will never be possible to find the best overall racket, and it need maintenance and changing rubbers all the time if i will play a lot, i know some bought half the store of table tennis just for testing and still keep giving many opinions, and it sounds T05 is remaining the top but it is expensive and it never last forever or so long time, i really feel that for fun it doesn't matter what to use, but for coaching/training seriously and compete then it must be an investment, and about myself i spent a lot already and i am not planning to keep doing that anymore.
What a pity, dude. Table Tennis is the best, I hope to play until I'm capable of.
@@aldopalacios3357 It is the best in a place that making it the best and fun, not making it as a business and exhaustion, no fun playing it a lot with just lose and spending more money, can't stand doing this forever, it won't be fun or the best anymore then, but i will try to find ways around that to keep playing.
table tennis is cheaper than 90% of sports. You don't need to spend lots of money on coaching just turn up to practice at local clubs and play for local teams.
Table tennis is only expensive if you want to reach a very high level, say to become top 20 in your country because you will have to spend so much in fuel to travel.
The one aspect of table tennis that can suck if the level you can reach is heavily limited by the standard of players in your local area.
@@epic1053 I still can't keep in competition and track with others who are doing it like everyday and spent a lot to be in top level even nationally or locally, i already mentioned that i had another hobbies and situations in my life, and i lost my fitness since last year, so i turned into just buying more and more rackets/equipment only to keep me glued to table tennis, otherwise i will stop while ago and sell some of my rackets, but i try to keep going, and few players i used to play with regularly are no longer available and only top level players are available which i lost to ALL of them no mercy and it is no fun to me at all, i want to play not to "Compete and challenge in serious level" or play some tournaments and events held by clubs or staff, but the problem i can't find any place to play for fun that doesn't force us to spend a lot [drive, parking, membership or hour rates,...etc].
The narrative has so many contradictory statements. 😂 Esp the segment about Fastarc G1
