I followed Emily before she became "popular". She's such a sweet young lady full of wise advice.
Unfortunately for many of us, Gothard's teachings infiltrated churches even if they weren't taught outright.
Question for Bruce-----you've mentioned here that we should "keep our finger on the verse". In reading Matthew 18:20 and surrounding verses, it seems to indicate that this is about church discipline, not just gathering or praying which is how it is often taught. Am I wrong?
I've so appreciated you and your wife's teaching! I have gone through 3 of the 4 books. I'm looking forward to doing the last one.

Thanks for your story! I watched Gothard at McCormick Place in Chicago in the 80's. Never went back, as I saw it was rampant literalism and insulting to women.
