Beautiful as always, Kathleen! I’m sorry you had to suffer through Covid. I had it in June. No fun at all. I’m happy to see your channel is growing! You need to be up in the 50,000s at least.
Kathleen, you have captured the feeling of a devotional journal perfectly. I can’t explain it any better than to say “it felt right”. I always marvel at the fact that with every flip through, I see something different. Your creativity is boundless. I have been working my way through your “how to” series. It’s been great, so far.
Another wonderful journal, Kathleen. I love every bit of it from cover to cover. The scripture cards are so sweet, and I love that you used them to make a devotional journal. The diagonal multi-pocket page in the center spread is such a fun surprise, and I can't believe we haven't thought of that before, but I'm planning to go straight to my craft table and make a template for the pocket pouch. (Thank you so much for the pouch idea.) I am watching this video again because this journal is so lovely I just want to admire it again. I emphasize with you as you parted with that lovely vintage/antique lace. So hard to let go of those precious things but how special it made this journal to use them. I hope that you are feeling better day by day. It just takes a while to come all the way back from covid. Thanks so much for sharing all of these wonderful ideas. You are an inspiration.
This is an absolutely beautiful journal, Kathleen, that brings with it feelings of peace and restorative thoughts. Thank you! There are many amazing ideas to include in our work and it will give me great pleasure to replay this video until my templates are done! Hopefully, as each day goes by, you are feeling a little better. Thinking of you! 🥰😀💞
Thanks so much Keryn! It makes me happy that you are making templates, haha. I’m glad you have found some ideas. I really am feeling a bit better every day now. I appreciate your thoughts.
I did get some ideas! I loved that waterfall and was very jealous of the vintage library pocket. what a lovely journal! I also hoard lace and have a hard time using it up.
Oh Kathleen, I can’t hardly contain my joy that you are on the mend. We craft so much alike. When I saw your waterfall I had to laugh. Did you see my video where I made a “floating” waterfall too? We share crafting genes. Julie does inspire us to do things that we never thought of before. Your journal is so beautiful. I knew it would sell fast. You do such elegant work. Now we have to get busy and do it again.
Thank you Sandy! We do think alike, you and I! And here it is almost November, so yes, rinse and repeat, haha. Now that I’ve extended the invitation, I hope the challenge is reasonably easy, haha.
Hi Kathleen! Such a beautiful and detailed journal! Congratulations! 😊 I would like to suggest you an idea for a video, if that's okay with you. I'd love to learn how you did the cover for this journal. It's the first time I've seen this type of cover. Thank you so much! 💜 Have a nice week!
You have some gorgeous papers 😍!!! You and Ava inspired me to make my first master board today. It really is a great way to deal with scraps. Why have I not made them sooner!!!
The journal has a peaceful look and feel which is very nice, especially for a devotional journal. I really like the way the ribbon on your bows and trims looks crinkly. How do you do that?
Thank you CP! I really appreciate you noticing that. Oh the crinkle is so easy to do with seam binding! Just spritz it with water and crumple it up in your fist, then let it dry. The modern stuff really crinkles well. The vintage seam binding is much thicker and will take a bit more crunching. Thanks for asking.
Thank you Virginia! That makes me happy. I don’t have current plans to make more, but you never know. I’m fluid. I have an angel devotional journal that is in the mind stage still…
Beautiful! I love the antique lace and all the scripture cards. Have a wonderful day!
Thanks so much Sheryl!
