So how did you deter.ine the slope? It looks as though you guessed at it as there were no side pictures to view how steep is was.

One rather large issue I'm noticing, within these measuring softwares, is that image perspective plays a big part in accuracy. Even though you may be completely centered on a structure, the outer perimeter is still at somewhat of an angle, however slight it may be. This is highly noticeable on gable ends where measurements should be equal most of the time, unless the gable end is clipped going into a different section of roof. However, due to perspective, these numbers are off. Sometimes quite a bit. No matter how accurate you center your structure, the perimeter will always be at somewhat of an angle rather than straight down like the center of the image is. Orthomosaic or orthophotos are the only photos that would provide a distortion-free image for maximum accuracy.

Roofr has a pitch finding tool. That being said, site visit is always good to meet the client and inspect the roof yourself. Also needed for numbering boots/vents. Roofr Measurements are soo much easier than measuring your own

I could tell that the 4/12 slope was incorrect. This is what makes me reluctant to move forward with such technologies.

agreed but i still visit the client and take pitch there, i am giving it a try and will have them done for me at $10, less time at a desk the better
