Helicopters are dangerous. Especially in that terrain. Anyhow, he was a horrible man. People of Iran need to be free of these dictators. Even the elections are bogus. I don’t feel sorry that he’s gone.

any helicopter ride is suspect to mechical problem,it was also borderline over loaded.i can only guess as everyone else,id say loss of control in fog.
That's a lot more plausible than people automatically assuming that the CIA, or America in general, must've had something to do with it. I feel like if things were that easy, then we'd be seeing similar crashes for Putin, Xi, Kim, and whoever else the US criticizes the most. Then again, while not plausible, it's not impossible.

And that video showed some very thick fog. I can think of a couple other examples: the crash with Kobe Bryant....and the crash with Stevie Ray Vaughn....both in helicopters and fog.
A suitably equipped helicopter can fly in IMC (instrument meteorological conditions) just like a fixed wing aircraft by a suitably qualified pilot.
