My goodness, Whitney! If there anyone who can display the beauty and benefit of a certain pattern, it is you!! What a lovely job (as usual). Your talent for selecting the 'just right' fabric adds so much life to the pattern design. This is extremely inspiring and we are so blessed to have you as our own personal pattern tester!!
You really suit this style Whitney snd I love your fabric choice. It’s always exciting when there’s a new pattern release from itch to stitch and you do such a good job of the reviews. thank you so much Whitney. Xxx
I haven't yet tried a pattern from Itch to Stitch, but may now because your top is so pretty -- a perfect combination of pattern, fabric, fit, and it looks beautiful on you! As you say, it's "easy, breezy" for the upcoming summer weather. Love it.
I've been a little leery of statement sleeves, but am thinking I'll give this one a try. I like your version and also like a lot of the directional prints various testers used. Seems like a good way to use those fabrics without having to pattern match!
I love Gidget! I enjoy watching your vlog as i can relate to your body shape and like to see how your makes work. I’m also a rectangle with a large bust (and a bit of a belly in my case 😁) however I’m 6 feet tall….so when you say “football player”….well, I’m sure you can imagine lol!
Your top is absolutely gorgeous Whitney. I’ve just ordered the pattern through your affiliate link. It’s going to be perfect for one of the beyond basic woven tops for the Your Everyday Style capsule xx
So glad you sewed this up in a "light" summer fabric..when I quickly looked at the pattern this AM it did not catch my attention at all..but the sleeves look so much fuller in your version and makes it look like a great flowy summer top..particularly great for those plus 35 degree Celsius days :)
I got my Itch to Stitch email this morning and went right to your channel to see the new pattern. It looks great on all the testers and you look fabulous! Also, I love your wavy hair-do
Oh, Whitney, had I just seen this one in one of my random pattern searches, I would have passed it by only because I am so broad shouldered. That being said, just seeing this one sewn up by you in that fabulous fabric….well, let’s just say the purchase has been made! Congrats, Kennis, on another fantastic pattern!
Intriguing construction … not sure about the dolman sleeve … I short in the uppertorso, waist sit high on my body and I want that waist to show to balance out my generous hips. So learned I prefer the look I get with set-in sleeves … need to give it some thought, because I really like the rest of this design 🧐😉💕
Oh my gosh, it’s a spitten image of a blouse I’ve got on my table, circa 1985 ish. My shoulder girth is my largest number, so yes, try and minimize that otherwise I’m a linebacker grandma, not a look I go for. Love the style, obviously! Deb
I love Itch to Stitch's Seyshelle top, so from what you said about it and Lamont, I think I will try the new pattern. I am a little leary of "statement sleeves," because I made the Paddington top recently and the sleeves hit a funny place on my arms which was not flattering. The sleeves of the Lamont seem to hit you right above the elbow. I have long arms (long legs, short torso) so I may try to lengthen the sleeves a bit. Thanks, Whitney. I may not have been interested in the Lamont had it not been for your video.
Love this shirt and love your fabric choice. It looks like the front piece was cut on the bias? I’m trying to find a similar fabric to yours and wondering if a stripe fabric would work.
The print on the fabric is actually on the diagonal so while it does appear to be cut on the bias, it's actually on the straight grain. A stripe would be so fun for this pattern!
I was also wondering if the two size ranges of patterns. Is the smaller size range B cup and the larger size range D cup, or are both cup sizes in both size ranges of patterns?
When you buy the pattern you get all the sizes, but there are two files with the two different ranges. Yes, both ranges have the regular and full bust option.
I know patterns can be lengthened but I’m 5’9” and long waisted and a bit of a belly so shorter patterns are not my friend. Seems like a lot of pattern designers are going with shorter lengths lately. I also tend to lean away from any parts gathered.
Hi, I just bought the new Itch to Stitch Lemont Top. The sizing doesn't make sense to me. What does she mean by regular and full bust, waist, and hip? I assume regular and full bust means B cup and D cup? These are listed in the body measurement chart. But what are regular and full waist and hip? These are listed in the finished measurement chart.
The regular bust was made for an upper bust to full bust difference of 3" or less. The full bust is for those with a difference above the 3". The full and regular hip and waist is because when the full bust measurement is made, it adds width to the waist and hip as well so those measurements are a bit larger than the regular measurements. Does that help?
I love the top! Are the white jeans you wore with it from J Crew Factory? I am asking because I just bought a pair with the frayed bottoms that look just like yours. I am suppose to get them Saturday 😊

What a lovely thing to read! Thank you so much!!
Love your hair!! You look so adorable! Not that you don’t everyday! Super cute top!
Thank you so much!
Looks great on you! I’m happy it left my stash and went into yours! 🤣
I am really benefitting from your destashing 😂.

That's so nice to hear!

I'm so glad you like this one! I really love Itch to Stitch's drafting!
I love your version and the 'flow' of the fabric. I was thinking about Karina's striped version but the softness of the diagonal pattern is beautiful.
Karina, per normal, hit it out of the park with hers!
@@TomKatStitchery Your fabric shows even more possibilities and has wonderful appeal.
I made this top a few weeks ago at Gabriel’s sew meet up and it made up so quickly
It does make up quickly!
Beautiful fabric. Goes so well with this pattern. Looks lovely on you.
Thank you so much!
Great top. I really like that it has shoulder seams vs the dropped shoulder, it is more flattering.
It's kind of a mix between with a shoulder seam and a princess seam, but it definitely gives the visual effect of a shoulder seam!
I've been a little leery of statement sleeves, but am thinking I'll give this one a try. I like your version and also like a lot of the directional prints various testers used. Seems like a good way to use those fabrics without having to pattern match!
It's a great pattern for playing with directional prints!

Very cute top, love your choice of fabric to
Thank you so much!

It would be a perfect candidate for that category!

I think this is going to be lovely when the heat and humidity get bad this summer!
Thank you, Whitney. Love the Lemont top!
I'm so glad!
Very cute!
Thank you so much!
Gorgeous. Inspiring. Getting it for sure.

Kennis does a really great job of designing patterns with shoulder details that don't make me look like a line backer 😂.
What a cute top!
Thank you so much!

This pattern would be so cute for your daughter, especially if you shirred the waistline!
That would be adorable!

These are from the regular J.Crew, but I know the pair you're talking about. I almost bought those!
