Idk if the developer is reading/watching the comments on this video, I would ask if I could make one small suggestion: on placement of structures, put an arrow that indicates what direction the door to habitat/crafting station interact is facing. What I mean is what Valheim does with the arrow on structure placement so that its so much more intuitive to build correctly the first time. Just a QOL :)

I have no idea what the fuck "gentrification simulator" will mean in this case, but I sure as fuck will watch it cuz it sounds funny as shit
gentrification is making a part of a city look developed, clean and civilized, to the detriment of hippies, hobos and other outlyers.
@50:50 it does have such a thing, but very simplified. Food for example, you need the +food production facilities before the -food consumption of settlers. There's just zero storage, and you're not permitted to go negative and work through the theoretical penalties or use a buffer stockpile to survive it.
Because of the fruit and mineral collection right away, I too was expecting you'd have the settlers assigned to collect food/minerals/etc more actively, but settlers and buildings act as permission thresholds to build more things instead of classical income.
Not being able to go negative seems like it takes away a lot of options. And despite the healthbar there doesn't seem to be any way to lose or face a challenge? (maybe it is still pseudo-tutorial land) Just go to each place in turn, hold the button for a few seconds and you're done with it forever. It would be good if you could at least change your approach and make an industrial nightmare that one type of folks like, and then in a second playthrough go for a posh garden party world that other types of folk like instead, or make a tourist trap that a third type of folks like and so forth. The limited options at each node so far seem to preclude much replayability.
I agree with what you say at the end of the video. I hate fast travel/teleportation, I want just faster travel like cars.

Problem with renting its dead money you pay for years and at the end its not yours. At least buying at the end it is yours ,I've just payed mine off after 23 years no better feeling

next 20years in debth... look at europe, here it is more like 50-80 years... with the current prices, you probably can't fully pay your debth until you die - and the house goes back to the bank. ... I pretend I smile, but I cry.
