Mk1 gloves are nice but they jumped from 165 to 195 usd. I don’t think they’re worth it. They’re not bad gloves there are just better options at that price.
He has already reviewed the MK1 Select in velcro. ua-cam.com/video/TT4eBcgQrfo/v-deo.html I just ordered the lace version 16oz teal and received the WORST stitching and piping I've ever owned. Brand new looked like someone had been using it for 6 months. I own 40-50 pairs of gloves currently and some are years old and they all to this day still look better than the mk1 that i got brand new 2 weeks ago. Their QC is pretty bad. When I reached out to them about it, they tried to make me seem like I was being picky about not accepting their chewed-up glove. Lesson learned. Never buying anything from them again.
I am quite happy with my Fly Superbar X and Fly Wraith X groin Guard thanks to this channel thank you for recommending Fly I might not be able to afford the premium line stuff but the X line is good enough for me
@@Fit2Box well as I got a job I don’t think it is very professional of me turning up to work with a broken nose and black eyes regularly I first looked into getting a cheap head guard but then I watched a couple of videos and your Fly Superbar vs Fly Superbar X persuaded me to get Fly Superbar X and then subsequently I got the Fly Wraith X for Christmas present
Love these vids :) Trying to help out a mate pick their first pair of gloves; its gonna be their first time to try out boxing and not yet willing to invest heavily. Given budget's a concern, which among the 2 would you recommend for them? I can see them working mostly on mitts and the heavy bag. - Venum Contender - Everlast Powerlock 2

Brilliant 😂, thanks for the plug, not sure about getting the whole idea from you, but I think my sarcasm about all the cheap brands is rubbing off on you. If you have never used or worn boxing gear, How can you really improve it or even design it, cracking video though 😅
I suppose we are both tall white blokes with bald heads 🤣 he’s a bit taller and heavier than me 😅 Also Tyson fury is a Brit 👀 We have lots of people at the gym with braces as long as you get a ‘braces’ gumshield they are normal fine to spar Obviously a full face headguard offers the most protection
If I’ve got weak wrists and hit quite hard but wrists keep going. What are some of the best gloves you can recommend to punch as hard as I can without hurting my wrists and hands that aren’t crazy priced?
Hey man I'd suggest the title world gel 2 bag gloves. They are a bit heavier but they are protective. They are $120 so not super cheap. Another suggestion of mine would be the Everlast protex gloves they just came out with. They do utilize injected molded foam (most people don't tend to like imf) but honestly their imf on this glove is actually quite soft and pliable. It has an ergo lace system so they are a hybrid Velcro glove, and they have good wrist protection. Personally I really love them and I just got them. Those are $74.99 +tax (mine came out to $81 in total) and they are gloves id highly suggest. Don't listen to anyone saying Everlast doesn't make good products, they really do in my opinion. I really hope this helps
Rivals have the best wrist support it's like having your arm wrapped with cardboard on all sides with their velcro strap system. Don't get the intellishock series though, yes you can smash through stone with them without breaking your hands but all the energy goes through the glove without being dampened, so it hurts the surface of your knuckles with each hit, it's kinda like somebody slapping your knuckles & then forcing your arm back, you need an additional gel pad on the knuckles via hand wraps, their ok to use on 10-25kg bags but 40kg+ your arm will bruise up.
@@KevinJamesHannant I'm not disagreeing, but the original commenter asked for stuff that's not crazy price. Personally while I don't think rival is too expensive, I also don't think it's inexpensive.
@@testableracer Rite, well most gloves bend & flex at the join seam anyway, that's why you use wraps to stop the back of your wrist from snapping back with each punch, as far as I know Adidas Tilt series are the only ones that have the cuff as a single piece with no join, the join seam can be eradicated with lace 2 loops on any lace up glove by placing it around the join therefore stopping the flex without wraps, the ring to cage converter is just a wider version for more support.
@@KevinJamesHannant again I'm not disagreeing. But there are gloves that die to the longer cuff length, which helps with that issue of the glove bending at the seam. I mean I think you have to be stupid to hit a heavy bag or do anything without wraps. But there's only so much you can do to prevent it. Personally I think there are really good options at better prices to achieve preventing that issue
Them Phenom XRT 22S's, with the D30 technology are the biggest pile of garbage i've ever used in my 20 years of boxing, coaching and now judging. There's no padding or cushion at all in the glove, and instead it's replaced by a strip of that D30 orange material. Meaning there is zero cushioning, you're essentially hitting the bag using a hard rubber strip across your knuckles. The gloves would be so much better without that hard rubber strip. Total gimmick, waste of £180.
When he puts on the hood the first time is hilarious. But lately I've been thinking how I never use the actual hood on hoodies...
