Jon Bon Jovi has built restaurants for homeless and poor. The workers are homeless. It's not like a soup kitchen. It's an actual restaurant. The humanity. And hes not even my genre. Much respect for his talent and giving back.
Lead singer is Jon Bon Jovi. He did a whole album “Blaze of Glory” for a western movie Called Young Guns II. They wanted to use “wanted dead or Alive” for the movie but he produced a whole album inspired by the movie instead.
Fun fact: Jon married to his high school sweetheart. They have been together for 40 years I believe. Fun fact: Jon is the one who nicknamed Steve Perry "The Voice."
Jon Bon Jovi ( Lead Singer) and Richie Sambora (Guitarist) are Absolutely Incredible together. They have the best chemistry together. I hope Richie will return to the group one day. He is Hugely missed and it's not the same without him!

Jay, you do know what Jon means when he sings, "On A Steele Horse I Ride", he's singing about "The Steel Horse, is his Tour Bus. And when he sings, "I'm Wanted Dead or Alive" meaning Jon and his band are on the road all the time, and basically nothing matters, tired or worn out, the Fans want him...No matter the cost!!
Their first hit was Runaway, that would be a nice reaction. More: You Give Love A Bad Name I'll Be There For You Ritchie Sambora the guitarist at his best. Jon Bon Jovi, the singer, really has a dynamic voice.
Jon Bon Jovi & Richie Sambora wrote this because touring & recording became their entire life. It represents how lonely it can be as a Rockstar. The western theme twist for example: "On a steel horse I ride" means their bus. "Loaded six string on my back" is his guitar.
Hands down, one of my favorite songs of theirs and not only is Richie Sambora totally underrated as a guitarist but his vocals or just as good as Jon’s.
@@mariana-l8z4e That used to be a beautiful girl, I suppose Richie was a good looking guy (as far as I can judge about it), so all in all, a great couple.
My all time favourite band. You get everything from them....happy, heavy, soft, melancholy. Whatever your mood, Bon Jovi has a song for it. Thanks JV, been waiting for them.
Wanted Dead or Alive was released on Bon Jovi’s third studio album, Slippery When Wet In 1986. Playing guitar is Richie Sambora and Jon Bon Jovi is singing lead vocals. As far as chart success went for Wanted Dead or Alive, it hit #13 in Australia, #36 in Belgium, #17 in Canada, #47 in Germany, #6 in Ireland, #20 in the Netherlands, #5 in New Zealand, #13 in the UK, #7 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and #13 on the US Album Rock Tracks Chart.
"Living on a prayer" or "It's my life" are really catchy as well, check them out! I personally love their ballads "Always", "Thank you for lovin me", "Bed of Roses" and "All about loving you" as well.
After all this time, I still get blown away when I see a song like this and realize that not everybody on earth has heard it! That might sound snobbish but I have to realize I was a teen when all this great music was being made. Can’t put in words how much I enjoy all this sharing of music.

My favorite Bon Jovi song is You Give Love a Bad Name... I hope that you react to that, if you haven't already. Ritchie Sambora is the lead guitarist ~ Yes, he's magic! He's no Eddie Van Halen, but he certainly can plAy!!!
What I love about this song is the symbolism and the metaphors referring to his life as a rock star that's constantly traveling and meeting the same type of people
"I'll be there for you" is a good one, "Always" is another good one, "Someday I'll be Saturday night" is another good one, and if you haven't done it "You give love a bad name" is another good one.
Ritchie is such a talented guitarist. He always wears that cowboy hat when they play this song live. He left before the last few tours. Missed him when we saw them last year-when live music was still a thing 😞
This song was written for the soundtrack for the movie "Young Guns". It was a western starring Charlie Sheen, Emilio Esteves, Keifer Sutherland, Lou Diamond Phillips, and some others.
The video clearly shows the analogy used in the song about fame & the rigors of touring. The "steel horse I ride" is the tour bus, planes, limos that get them from place to place & "wanted dead or alive" about the physical demands of performing. Modern day cowboys, so to speak. But frankly, Bon Jovi & Sambora could be digging a ditch & women would probably gather around. Two of the best looking guys to front a band during that time, aside from their numerous talents Win-win for us!
@stuogs So many videos were just mindless eye candy for just simple entertainment, but there are so many great ones that added something to the lyrics, related a message or made social commentary. Great fun either way, I have to say I kinda miss it!
I always saw their identity as hard-working New Jersey boys who eventually hit the big time. Living on a Prayer is all about slugging it out, working dead end jobs just to make ends meet until your dreams come true and Wanted Dead or Alive is likening being on the road and touring with surviving the Wild Wild West. The way Jon and Richie harmonise together in this song is a real gift. I had such fun watching you enjoy it.
Brings back memories when I was a kid and my older sister had a huge crush on Jon Bon Jovi. Posters galore on my sister's bedroom walls of Bon Jovi. Great memories!😆
Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora performed an acoustics version of this song on the MTV Music Video Awards many years ago. The story goes, they wanted to do an acoustic version, but the producers thought it wouldn’t be high energy enough. They performed it their way, and there was such a huge response to it, MTV Unplugged was born.
I heart ♥️ Bon Jovi & Richie Sambora, The Guitarist!! 🎸 This song was penned for the movie: Wanted Dead or Alive!! 🎥 🍿 A superb song with great lyrics. 👍
You need to look him up now. Still handsome but a head full of grey. Cool fact too is he married his high school sweetheart and they have been married 30+ years.
Lead singer is Jon Bon Jovi- this is not really western but I get where you might think that- it’s about the exhaustion of constant touring- “wanted dead or alive.” “On a steel horse I ride.” Meaning planes, cars ,buses and whatever it took to get them to their next concert- “loaded six string on my back, I play for keeps, cuz I might not make it back.” Loaded six string meaning guitar- Now, you wanna actually hear their western song from the movie “Young Guns”..I highly suggest “Blaze of Glory.” Made for the movie- And that’s Ritchie Sambora on guitar, who also has a KILLER voice! Their MTV unplugged versions are phenomenal! HOWEVER, watch the originals FIRST- LOVE this band!!! I hades their posters on my walls and ceiling.. along with Whitesnake as well! 💜🧡✌️✨
I love your Pink Floyd shirt, also I honestly like to hear the younger people listening to this music from the '80's what they think of the music along with the 70's. I grew up listening to some awesome music from both decades and back to 50's. I come from a big family I am 60 and most of my siblings are older than me. So I was subjected to a vast genre of music. The 70's and 80's to me were the best time to grow up so if you have time check out all the music from the eras. They are the best!!!!!
I’ve been waiting for this one!!!!!! Love it and your reaction. The guitarist is Richie Sambora, and the lead singer is Jon Bon Jovi. Songs: You Give Love a Bad Name, It’s My Life, Born to be My Baby, Always, Keep the Faith, Bed of Roses.

This song is about the band traveling all over the place on steel horses which are buses, airplanes, and limousines. And the desire to get home after these performances.
The song is about touring. The steel horse is the tour bus. These boys are my homies. We Jersey peeps, especially Italians are like family. I grew up about 20 minutes outside of Sayreville. When the hit the music scene, Jersey lit up. Ritchie Zambora is a great guitarist. Last time I saw them, he played 11 different guitars in one 3 hour concert. Together, Jon and Ritchie wrote the greatest music. It’s really sad that they don’t write and play together anymore. It’s just not the same. Jon got all the glory and Ritchie resented it. They were his songs just as much as Jon’s. Ritchie went to Hollywood and Jon stayed in Jersey, and married his high school sweetheart. Ritchies wife has substance issues and he needs to be home for his daughter. Going through a divorce and father dying of cancer. Jon did not take well to him leaving their tour but... family comes first. Still, they were really good together. Maybe someday they will make peace with each other. Life’s too short.
This song was towards the end of a 5 yr tour...tour didn't last 5 yrs but they were on the road for 5 yrs. Jon said when they finished they each went yheir separate ways and didn't communicate for 5 months. That's when Jon Bon Jovi wrote the soundtrack for Young Guns 2. Check out their live performance of Faith. On another note Jon's wife Dorathea broke up with him before they left. She didn't want to think about him and other women. After the 5 yrs he went home and married her!!
I think clean is the word. Like everything about this song is clean. Vocals, backups, guitar, groove, etc. Especially that guitar. It's nasty. It's so clear
Loved your reaction! Bon Jovi is one of the best bands ever! And still going strong today!!! Thanks for your great reaction! Stay safe and healthy and have a blessed day!
Basically a song about touring. The "steel Horse" refers to the limo or the private jet that they ride. Loaded 6 string on his back is a guitar. But I don't doubt that he has seen a million faces nor that he rocked them all.
The song is about a being on the road ... a “steel horse I ride” is the bus and “wanted dead or alive” is the fans wanting to see them. That’s been my interpretation.
One of my all time fave bands. Also check out Runaway, Always, It's My Life, Bed of Roses, Blaze of Glory, I'll Be There For You and In These Arms - so many other great songs but this is a good starting list!

This was and still is one of my favourite Bon Jovi songs ever. I'm old enough to have bought the album "slippery when wet" when it first came out, on cassette I might add 🙂 This song was used on the movie "Young Guns" with Emilio Estevez and I loved that movie too 🙃 Great reaction 👌💖
Aaahhhhhhh shit! Now you're on to some good eighties. Man when this album called slippery when wet came out that was it. It was probably the most popular album in the '80s every woman wanted bon Jovi and every guy wanted to rock as badass as they did.
@@FunkyMonk4Life Touche. I compared to the two and it was pretty close. Appetite for destruction sold 30 million and slippery when wet sold 28 million. Definitely two monsters of the eighties.
When they were recording this album they passed a sign that said slippery when wet. That night when they were in the strip club the saw girls taking showers and they knew the had to name it Slippery When Wet.
Written for the movie DEAD OR ALIVE i believe ... I remember that he wrote it for the movie W/O knowing what the movie was about!!!! Nice to see young blood dipping into old head music and enjoying it too lol. My 19 yr old daughter been playing STEVIE NICKS and i sit back thinking wow this is great lol
The only other reaction I have to this song is making my neighbor friend watch this video on VHS in the late 80s. I recorded them off MTV and always missed the first part because when it would come on I would have to find a tape and hit record. She wasn’t happy I made her watch the entire VHS tape with Wanted Dead or alive 😝 it was my favorite
"I've seen a million faces and I Rocked em all" one of the best rock lyrics in my opinion :)

This was and still is one of my favourite Bon Jovi songs ever. I'm old enough to have bought the album "slippery when wet" when it first came out, on cassette I might add 🙂
This song was used on the movie "Young Guns" with Emilio Estevez and I loved that movie too 🙃
Great reaction 👌💖
Saw them live in Murryfield Scotland, they were amazing.
Aaahhhhhhh shit! Now you're on to some good eighties. Man when this album called slippery when wet came out that was it. It was probably the most popular album in the '80s every woman wanted bon Jovi and every guy wanted to rock as badass as they did.
"It was probanly the most popular album of the 80s"
GNR Appetite for Destruction : Am I a joke to you?
@@FunkyMonk4Life Touche. I compared to the two and it was pretty close. Appetite for destruction sold 30 million and slippery when wet sold 28 million. Definitely two monsters of the eighties.
*Laughs in Thriller.*
When they were recording this album they passed a sign that said slippery when wet. That night when they were in the strip club the saw girls taking showers and they knew the had to name it Slippery When Wet.
It's now the theme song to a show on TV called the Deadliest Catch (which is a great show too, by the way).
Seen Jovi at o2 London their performance was flawless.
Gotta listen to "it's my Life", "you want to make a memory", and "who says you can't go home" duet with Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland
Have you checked out The Romantics “Talking in your sleep”? Is that mini Freddie Mercury on your desktop?
The show on The Discovery Channel, Deadliest Catch, uses this song as their Theme Song, awesome song
