If the author wanted to add bl bait so bad they could’ve used the side body guard/ wolf pack characters. I haven’t read th is in a while cause I got kinda bored but when its not doing fanservice it’s is very cute and I hope the author keeps it that way.
Fanservice is like any other tool. It's what you do with it. I actually think Tamaki from Fire Force is a way better example of fanservice detracting from the story. Blair being sexy was always meant for humor and she never actively ruined tension during fight scenes compared to Tamaki. I also disagree with Blair being objectified. All the times she's beong sexy is because that's what she wants. Most times Tamaki is being sexy, it's not her choice, she's literally cursed to be groped by people. It's actually an interesting concept but instead it's used as a cheap gag that demeans her and even the characters who accidentally tear her clothes off without meaning to. Tamaki is still a fun character who actually had a great final fight qnd conclusion to her arc. But my god was that a struggle. BTW I love how your examples of fanservice are a bunch of hot anime boys lmao
I’ve heard so much about tamaki and her problem with fan service ! I was tempted to put her in as the example but I haven’t seen the entire series of fire force yet so I didn’t wanna misinform cuz I don’t rlly know her or the series super well lolololol ty for ur comment 🌷🫶
