The most important lessons of Chernobyl were not included in this video...sorry to say. The Soviets knew in the 1960s that the RBMK design was prone to instability and was inherently unsafe, yet they chose to build a lot of them and use them for generating electricity....and they decided not to build them with proper containment structures around them. They also knew about the design flaws in the emergency shut shutdown system at least ten years before Chernobyl, and chose to do nothing to correct them. So really, the biggest lessons from Chernobyl are all the things that the Soviets chose to do that we can now definitively say are all things that you should never do with a nuclear power reactor.
