This company needs a BBR collab asap. Also i cant think of anyone better to test well engineered niche offroad vehicles than you guys. I hope to see more in the future!
@@countryboy4life969 buy a new dirt bike and then spend another 2k for a conversion kit. That'll run you more than $6500 for something that doesn't have the same purpose as the ruffian.
Nice one guys. There is this trick i saw here on UA-cam of getting clear sound while you are wearing a helmet. The idea is, you wrap your mic with some soft material, like cotton or sponge form. How i works is, by wrapping the mic, it picks the loudest sound, which is your sound in the helmet. Also sound proofing the outside of the helmet sounds.
I've been saying to build snowbikes like this for years, particularly 200lbs or less, mono rail, front ski all the way back close to the track, low seat height, and rider weight further back over the track. Glad someone finally built my design. It causes me to scratch my head that the big companies are still chasing dirtbike conversions, but thats where the money is I guess. Ruffian is on the right track with this design and mindset. For serious deeper snow, the bike in this video needs a longer track though. Hopefully they'll build a 25-30hp model with a long skinny track, 136" long by 7.5"-9" wide would do it. And keep ot arpund 200lbs. Theres a huge market for utility oriented, super lightweight back country snowbikes with a low COG.
Just noticed I've got the same pair of shoes as Ethan, I love my Keens! Only shoe I've ever found that will last me more than a year. Those particular ones I've had at least 4 years, but are now my "yard work shoes". Love the content as usual, keep up all the good work!
i have a feeling you'll be seeing a lot of these in snow rescue units in the future. it looks like this will go into dense brush where a snowmobile couldn't go, will still pull a gurney sled and with a different exhaust routing, it has a large, flat, stable area behind the seat to carry equipment. with a quieter exhaust system, i can see these in alpine military units as well. i can't believe this is the first purpose built commercial snobike. the concept has been around for years. as long as the frame and drivetrain are reliable, it had ought to be a pretty successful product for the company building them.
Very cool!! Seems quick for a 190cc. They have a $6500 270cc 8hp Honda version with a 40 series CVT automatic it weighs 200lbs with the same frame as the 190R.
Man I get cold just watching you guys! You come close to making my Deep Southern roots think we missed something by not having snow! Awesome check ride and fantastic drone work- about par for GHPC.! FR
Very Nice!!! But secretly i was hoping for a 20+ mins video with drifttrike/lawnmower updates haha. I’m kidding! No matter what subject the video will be about, I’m allways super exited if there is new content on your channels. I think I can say that this is by far my favorite youtube channel to keep looking out for! Keep it going!! Greetings Ruben from the Netherlands
Never knew snow bikes were a thing till now... At first I thought it was kinda pointless with snowmobiles out there, but now I can see the appeal. Those things are so much more nimble than a big ol clunky snowmobile!
Man I love this channel! Makes my morning trying to make out what y’all were saying while riding, 😂 sounded like a happy review. No idea what was actually said. 😁 have a great day guys! 👍💪❤️🇺🇸
They go great for little machines! ...Reminds me of some really wise words grampa once said to me when I was a kid learning about mechanical stuff: "Work smarter, not harder." -Seems to me, these folks might have had similar grampas. 😁
When you were chasing the bike with the drone was awesome. You flying skills just keep getting better Edwin. How do you think it would do in fresh powder ?
I'd be interested to see you guys get a pitbike with a snow bike kit and compare it to this. I wonder how it does in deep powder with the smaller motor. Sick video as always 🤘
Id like mine to have a bit bigger lug on the track not to big maybe 2 to 2.25 and make it 2stroker and it would be amazing! Think i might have to get one of these! They look really fun thanks for sharing!
I'm putting money down tomorrow on the e version. I almost bought a sno track conversion kit for my Sur Ron, but there are too many compromises with that, I like the purpose built design.
Arctic Cat made a purpose built snowbike. Something like Sherco 450 and a Camso track and ski kit. Called Arctic Cat SVX 450. Wasn’t in production long but I’ve seen a few on Marketplace lately on the west coast of Canada in the North Okanagan. Hour out of Revelstoke.
Always look forward to your videos! I would like to state that your title is incorrect. Chrysler made one called the "Sno Runner", there was another company who made "Snow Hawk", and a company called "Biovin" made purpose built snow bikes. The Biovin versions were incredible! they used Ski-Doo Formula Mach 1 Rotax engines.
Ruffian wouldn't mind if you put a 2 stroke 250 in that, would they? ....You know what? That looks like it is doing fine just the way it is. Looks like a blast! Would be great for winter wilderness camping.
Next there going to make a wheel conversion kit for it LMAO
I bet that would work fairly well in sand and mud with a wheel on the front
Let's not back step here folks lol
Nah, a waterbike or hoverbike is the only logical next step 😉
Hope they do
@@MicRuLerZ thats better thinking
Adboivin in Canada actually introduced their first snowbike around 2004. It had a ski-doo engine and it was called the Snow Hawk.
This! Although they were huge, heavy, and hard to ride.
Lol. The snow hawk was a snowmobile with 1 ski
There is also the Artic Cat SVX 450.
@@771racing that's essentially a SnowBike kit that came preassembled.... I believe it was discontinued before launch as well...
I remember those things.
I think it needs a turbo now
And Supercharger!
Start w/ a small hit of Nitrous Oxide w/o the mustard seed gas, go from there.
Hey I know u
@@cheerdiver but refilling bottles sucks
Or 8 lol
You know it's a badass machine if the guys that build some of the dopest machines on UA-cam love it. Sign me up!
i agree a hell of an endorsement!
This company needs a BBR collab asap. Also i cant think of anyone better to test well engineered niche offroad vehicles than you guys. I hope to see more in the future!
That might be the best thing for the snow to come along in a while, maybe ever! BTW, radical drone shots gentlemen.
It doesn't break a chain or something when you send it😂😂
You guys are the best. I love fridays mainly for the Grind Hard posts!
This feels and handel's exactly how I picture an electric Sur Ron snow bike would feel like!
Makes sense, you guys should make that
i think it needs a 212cc daytona whit a daytona super charger
The track looks about the right size for your tank build
GOOD IDEA
Do it..we were wondering the same thing...and if a timbersled mini would fit in it 🙈🤣
Video number 2 of our production snow bike: adding a small block chevy with blower making 800hp.
"we got this snow bike, we are going to try to turn it in to a dirt bike"
How the turn tables
When he builds something ,u know it’s awesome
oh snap! i just looked ruffian up and they are from my home state of new hampshire! hell yeah
@@countryboy4life969 buy a new dirt bike and then spend another 2k for a conversion kit. That'll run you more than $6500 for something that doesn't have the same purpose as the ruffian.
pretty wicked little unit !!!!! I could put it on the roof of my snowcat for backup!!!
Great plumbing video, learned a lot ! Thanks
I hope they gave you the bike , because that was better than any advertisement they could have done themselves .
That is way too cool. And the touch and go with the drone was pretty amazing as well! 👍😎
Wow that thing rips better than I expected! Glad to see them getting noticed!
The simple fact that it had enough torque to tow a much larger bike is worth a thumbs up for this little thing. Well done.
Looks like the Ruffian handles sooo nicely!
Nice one guys.

It is so much fun!
Yet another SUPPURB production guys. Your videos are allway such a joy to watch.
Imagine having this to ride to school on snow days! Sweet bike guys!!
Clever use of pitbike component! Smart frame usage too... I’d almost want to move to snowcountry to have the need for one :D
Awesome bikes , but that scenery is beyond amazing, great shots.

Man I really need to move out of Florida and get to some snow!
I want one! Great fpv chance footage. Huge fan Edwin! 👌😎
It's a Honda trail 90 or CT70 for the snow! Awesome!
I had my doubts, but that bike definitely performs. Fantastic video guys!
Badass!!! Looks like something that should be in a James Bond movie! Full SEND!!!
Just another day at the office! Love it!

This snowbike is pretty sweet.
Nice and light perfect for upgrade
I had 2 snow rabbits also called sno runners. Made by Chrysler in the 80s. I was looking for something like this for my kids....40 years later!
It’s a pit snow bike!! That’s so cool
that looks like a real blast
Awesome drone filming again. You guys are killing it 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I WANT IT! Great video guys, love the content!
Stranded in the Philippines now but I know I could have fun with this snow bike back in Canada if I can ever get back to Canada....
A Buddy of mine had a Chrysler SnoRunner in the early 80s that was like a mini version of that.
people should already be racing them by now. WE NEED PIT SNOW BIKE RACING NOW!!!
That thing is SWEET!
That snow bike is awesome and you guys are legends lol
Man that bike looks super fun I need to ride one of these ASAP great video guys looks like my kinda party heck ya
Love the fpv drone shots and the partial crash into snow. 🤘🏽
This would be awesome for riding around the city
If it can live with grind hard it can live with anyone
Man I love this channel! Makes my morning trying to make out what y’all were saying while riding, 😂 sounded like a happy review. No idea what was actually said. 😁 have a great day guys! 👍💪❤️🇺🇸
Now in Russia we have almost the same one, but with electric motor, and this is awesome!

I saw this video and right away wanted one
Looks like the perfect snow bike for a beginner. Can't wait to see you upgrade it to 400. That will be a shredder!
When you were chasing the bike with the drone was awesome. You flying skills just keep getting better Edwin. How do you think it would do in fresh powder ?
Those 190 engines make ~20hp, I'd imagine it would feel fairly weak.
You know drones have auto track features and can follow something up to 30 mph right
Been following the creator since the first post on ig! Crazy cool bike 🔥
Damn that thing is cool and I really want one now.
SnowHawk was actually the first production built snowbike
Super cool!!
Well guys that sure looks like a lot of fun 🤩!!!!!.
Man In town it feels like summer
Great Video. We need to see some powder testing next. Looks like it could use a 2" lug on the track.

It’s the first only if you don’t consider the Snow Hawk that was made in Québec and available commercially more than 15 years ago!
Damn it.. Now I have to buy one.
If it came in a 2- stroke Ronnie Mack would be all over it!
I'm putting money down tomorrow on the e version. I almost bought a sno track conversion kit for my Sur Ron, but there are too many compromises with that, I like the purpose built design.

That drone save though
Sweet machine.
im 30 seconds in..... TURBO IT!!!!!
Sno-Rabbit made a basic version of that powered by a 2-stroke 5hp air-cooled engine made by Chrysler. I owned one in 1986.
Look up the snow hawk…it originally came out in the early 2000’s
Which do you want to ride more the pit bike sized Ruffian or the full size version?
I like the full size engine of a 450 but then I also like the pit bike size
Pit bike for early and late winter but I don’t think that thing is pulling you around in the deep stuff.
Big bike 100%
For 12k I will build 2 out of piranha 190 bikes and it be better quality and have 2 bikes. What a rip off.
Sweet action!
Looks fun aslong as your going downhill.🙂
Cant wait for my birthday
The worlds first snow bike is actually from A&D Boivin Snow Hawk. It goes back more than 15 years.
It needs more powweeeer baby

10 of those on a snowcross track would be a sick race.
You guys are rad
Looks like something you would get on amazon
That thing is cool. If I got a lot of snow where I live I’d buy one
Would be awesome to see these things at the X-Games at some point. Would be cool to see someone doing backflips down a ski slope :P
They... they do. The have freestyle snow bike competitions
Now just waiting for that 600 engine swap :)
More POWERRRRRR
I had no idea snow bikes were all kits before...
