I just found your channel, and I've been marathoning all your 10 minute painting videos, and my eyes are dying, but my soul won't rest till I pick up a paintbrush now
I'm entering the process of slow death through my ocular globes too. It's 3:43 am here but I'm thinking about getting to work on my very first canvas anyway. Judicious choice for a first painting ? Not too hard ? I have no idea, but even if I don't succeed, I'll learn 😉
I can't thank you enough for making quick versions of paintings. I'm loving it. I'm too busy to paint for hours, and when I paint, I prefer to not do anything else until it is finished.
i have tried many of yours 10 minute paintings n they always turn out to be pretty good....you paint n explain really well in such a short time. great job!
Thank you for next very nice tutorial. You are very huge inspiration for me! Everytime i see your paintings I want to improve myself. Till now I painted only 4 images with acrylics, but with every next painting I am getting better (I hope).
With that being said I always trust you..It is an amazing painting thank you for sharing your knowledge with us ..u make painting such beautiful landscapes so easy.. thank you again
I followed with you but i messed up. I did leave and add some things. I changed the black to a dark plum purple. I ditched the clouds. But i messed up the reflections a bit. I also made the big building way too small xD but it still looks pretty good in my room. I added stars and a very dark orange sunset. Its beautiful, thank you!!!
The moment I laid my eyes on this I was like “Hey that looks like my city Toronto” because the building reminds me of the CN Tower, just missing the Scotiabank arena lol but I can see why others see the Seattle space needle :)
With that being said, you just earned a new subscriber. How can u paint soooooo beautifully in just 10 minutes?its unbelievable! I wish I could paint like u.
tried this..it turned out to be so Amazingly good!! all of your paintings are fabulous!!❤..soon i will try your next painting..keep doing it! 👍🏻 thanks 😊
Thank you... think you're just great, and my paintings look fabulous! You are a great teacher, artists and I'm glad I found you. This has improved my skills and my business...I will keep watching and painting!!!! Have a great day. Can you paint some people silhouettes? That I'd love to see!
Thank you so much :) I actually have a couple of lessons with silhouettes of people, you can find them here: ua-cam.com/video/Ewz9ruco15c/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/XidsgssF_Fs/v-deo.html Have fun!
I love this! The first place that came to mind when I saw the silhouette was Toronto, because of the CN Tower - Not that I've ever been there, but my dad was there a couple of months back x) With that being said *coughs* I'd love to see you do a Bluebell woods painting! I've been meaning to do one for my mother for a few years, I did paint one a while back - I never liked what I did, so I scrapped it, repainted it all in white, and now just waiting for inspiration to whack me on the head before I try again! Thanks again for your videos, I always enjoy watching!
So I'm a very beginner painter, I sketched out a little skyline before seeking out a video to help me... And when sketching, I was like "wait, what's a different-shaped building?" And so I included the CN tower! Apparently, I was following the tutorial before I even opened it haha.
Great question, I have two answers. If we added a lot of lights the buildings wouldn't stand out as much because we would loose the stark contrast between the silhouette and the sky. Secondly..and more realistically. Time constraints lol With that said, people have sent me beautiful renditions of the piece with the inclusion of lights in the buildings so if you'd like to give it a try I say go for it :)
So I tried making my own sunset city type of painting similar to yours and I was wondering two things? For the stars what do u recommend I saw how u did it but I feel like if I tried I would get real splotched areas. And the second things is for the buildings. What type of brush should I use Becasue when I tried the first time my buildings looked wavy? Btw an amazing video and the art is beautiful.
I would practice using the star technique on a piece of paper or other background first. That way you can practice and ensure your application won't be splotchy. In regards to the buildings, that can happen if you don't have a steady hand. This however can be fixed relatively easily by placing your pinky finger on a dry part of the canvas/desk when applying your stroke. This should ground your hand and take out a bit of the wavy look. Hope that helps!
Tried this...turned out better than i expected 😊 Very well explained...thanx👍🏻😊 I just have 1 problem, colours i m using dry too quickly,no matter what amount of water i use on brush...i can actually tell where two colours are seperating...what to do?
Very happy to hear it! While your paints drying quickly may initially seem frustrating it can actually be a good thing. Due to this you will learn how to blend wet layers into dry layers more quickly which is important. At this point I would recommend applying additional layers if you see the separation. Due to how transparent/thin acrylics are multiple layers are occasionally necessary when blending wet into dry. I hope that helps!
It could be the brand you use. I usually use Liquitex BASICS paint, because its really thick, and it doesn't dry so quick. If you use a really thin paint, it will dry really fast and adding water to it will make it thinner and dry even faster! I really hope this can help you!!💙
Dimple B it's late in the game but you can either dry your brushes before moving to a new colour or get a spray bottle to dampen the painting surface so the paint drys slower
I use two mediums depending upon my intended purpose. If I want to see the sketch through a thin layer of paint I use a fine tipped sharpie. If I just want to sketch an idea to see spacing/porportion and allow it to be fully covered by the first application of paint I use crayola colored pencils. They generally don't dilute the pigment like charcoal/graphite. I hope that helps!
I wanted to ask that is there a difference between acrylics nd poster colours cuz i am just a 10 year old kid whose trying to make a beautiful painting..But anyways, these paintings r really cool!

Your works are great. I did subscribe you. Marvelous.
Welcome to the channel!
Very nice
Please do portrait painting 😊
good drawing
Not half bad!
Bellísimo todos....
What do you use to draw your picture? No matter what I use, it covers the paint covers the picture so it's like it's not even there.
I use two mediums depending upon my intended purpose. If I want to see the sketch through a thin layer of paint I use a fine tipped sharpie. superb
Could you please give me a list of the exact colors you use? And what are the types of brushes you use and when do you use it?
That is all listed in the video description :)
I couldn't paint this in an hour!
I wanted to ask that is there a difference between acrylics nd poster colours cuz i am just a 10 year old kid whose trying to make a beautiful painting..But anyways, these paintings r really cool!
