I'm a white guy in his 70's who thinks music hit it's peak in the 1960's and, with rare exceptions, has been going downhill ever since. Don't know anything about music, not a musician, can't carry a tune in a bucket, didn't get my first stereo until my late 30's. Probably like a lot of people, the best music was what was popular during my teen years while hanging out with my buddies. What got my hooked on your channel was your reaction videos to The Righteous Brothers and other 60's pop stars. I stick with you because you talk good and make a lot of sense. Which brings us to this song. The first time I heard this was right here, right now and . . . . I like it a LOT. I'll have to look for more Teskey Bros. stuff now Thank you.
I'm a 67 year old white women. And this is my #1 channel. Love his reations. He's the only one that makes any since at all. Very fair to every one. Not bad on the eye's either. 😇
@@jeanyarbrough7975 I just turned 43 years old today and I absolutely agree with you
@@udayadams Happy Birthday. 🎉🎈🎂
@@jeanyarbrough7975 Thank you
I just heard of this group this past year. One of the few positives in this time of chaos!. Thanks for sharing!
Hometown Boys..... Warrandyte Victoria Australia... STAND UP!
Man i love this dude and this channel. So much honesty and a real feel for the music
Yes!! Teskey brothers are the best.
Love me some Teskey Brothers in the morning. 👍
This group is fantastic man oh man great sound of old soul.the Otis redding...Sam Cook...Marvin... Gaye. Al green. Teskey Brothers Chris Stapleton. Teddy swims. Yes Etta James
I love this man's voice. I have not heard him before. I think this is some more blue=eyed soul for us. Everything about this song is great.
Look up one they do called rain a colors show. Man!
@@Modern-Renaissance-Man I hear so much Otis Redding. That is beautiful!
Their Run Home Slow album is fantastic start to finish.
Yes.Nice.They listen to Otis Redding vocals, and the Memphis sound, instrumentally.Great music. Also a little Bobby Womack/Sam Cook vocal runs. These guys are great. They are doing it right.
The Teskey Brothers, from the outskirts of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, are fabulous. They have a number of videos on You Tube and have played at venues around the world. I have two of their CDs. Lovely bluesy-soul music to be heard.
Just saw these guys live last month. Amazing!
So glad you found the Tesky Brothers. Aussie blues tends to fly under the radar....can I suggest you check out the Pigrim Brothers and The Waifs.
Hmm... The Waifs have a huge catalogue.. Crazy Train or Pony are my faves...love Bridal Train for its history lesson.... Crazy Train live is always better.
Pigrim Brothers have a huge catalogue but I'd love if you did a reaction to Nowhere Else But Here or Bluewater Bay Blues.
Oh just thought of some else.... Kutcha Edwards .... this fella is great.
The Teskey Brothers Crying Shame is another killer tune. I play their music on my radio shows.
You really should listen to him singing 'Rain ' on the colors show, you'll love it
Great Aussie singers, nothing but the best.
Although the song is called Pain & Misery....which was how I was feeling...but this actually smoothed out my worries...gave me a chance to breath and chill out. Loved it...Thanks so much for 'reacting' to our very own Aussie band...
Teskey brothers are great!!!!
He reminds me of Otis Redding. The band also.Nice.
These Aussie boys rock
MRM, you and the other Reaction Channel folks are getting me out from the rock I've been living under. Found you with your review of my boys, St. Paul and the Broken Bones, and now you've got me hooked on The Teskey Brothers. Respect from NorCal 🙏🏼👊🏼
Love St. Paul and The Broken Bones and The Teskey Bros. Play both on my radio shows.
I am fairly new to your channel but I am definitely not new to the teskeybrothere's. I can see from the joy on your face. How much you love it you don't have to say anything and that's a beautiful thing.❤❤❤ I don't know if you reacted to their song rain which will blow your socks off. It was my first video of theirs and it just blows you away and I love seeing other people react to it. Another great one is say you'll do which josh sings but sam the other brother wrote it❤❤❤❤❤ It's very powerful and there's also a great song called. I get up but you have to listen to the live version with guitarist bahamas❤❤❤❤
My favorite by them!
I thought the same thing when I first heard this song. Same progression as Tennessee Whiskey. I was just listening to it the other day and sang Tennessee Whiskey lyrics over top of the whole song. Works perfectly except at the bridge. I think it’s also up just slightly in key. But it’s a very classic, standard melody. Amazing song though. So much soul and feeling. I love these guys.
Yes, That Tennessee Whiskey is all me! As always, heard it here first! About to hear it here again, & maybe AGAIN! Thanks! {You don't want to know what I'd like to be doing if my husband was still alive!!} 😂
❤️
Have you heard Amy Winehouse You know I'm no good. Now that woman had a voice.
Check out Janice Joplin too
My Uncle used to haul me around listening to the40's and 50's music. Wow what a time it was. I was young but loved the sound. The Four Tops etc
From Jazz to the start of Rock and Roll.
I have to know the names of the 2 videos after Stevie Ray Vaughan solo in your opening video.
Time stamps :39 and :44
Makes me feel
listen to their song Rain
Listen to Rain
Justin Timberlake
Great pick-up on melody. Great voice but seems unauthentic. A copy of others, so that’s why melodies will double up. I wonder how he would sound just letting loose and away from the Mototown influence.
