Hearty Congratulations on pulling this off! In an age where people have attention span of 15-30 seconds for reels/shorts, sitting down with once-in-a-lifetime Icon for 4 hours in commendable. I’ve always appreciated this team, but the admiration grew manyfold today.
Permit Room peaked here. Excellent conversation piece! It also broke your previous record of being the longest so far. But it didn't feel long. It just flowed and I was thoroughly engaged. Such a great pleasure to listen to an eloquently intellectual gentle man! Great work guys! 🎉❤ Congrats to you!
Guys , i have no words to describe the happiness i have felt watching this podcast . Kudos to all of you for making it possible to hear such a optimistic approach to governance from a gem of a person . What an excellent PM Mr JP would have been . *SIGH*. Thank you once again for bringing us such wonderful content . Hriday you should consider finishing the podcasts with your witty humour and above all your singing talent :) .. something to think about :) .
Thank you @PermitRoom team and JP Sir for taking my question. Echo with Sir's example on school. Exactly the feeling I get when I pay my children's fees 🙂
This definition of patriotism told by sir should be heard by all the Indians. People in India are confusing the word patriotism with a lot of different things. A great great podcast 👏 👏 👏 , Thankyou so much for sharing all the wisdom.
This is exceptional..... 4 hrs didn't feel long! Lot of insights from a learned man! Hope we would able to adapt this mindset and perspective about society and nations at least on few matters. He is a very practical person
I was hoping he mentions Samuel p Huntington...I really felt validated when he mentioned every book I read and liked...clash of civilizations is the cherry on top.
Appreciation comment for Hriday and Santosh for not getting intimidated by intellect of JP , by the end of second hour it completely felt like conversation between friends.
@@PermitRoom chala late chesaru bro munde tevalsindi he is an extraordinary person with extraordinary knowledge miru em adigina sare prati generation ki ardam ayyela articulate cheyagalige knowledge ayana sontham love you JP sir for educating us about politics and everything ❤❤
Thank you Hruday and Santosh for bringing this humanly impossible brain to the show and who ever thought of bringing him here. I just imagined the way he is answering the questions in the form of beautiful essay covering a large spectrum of views through one channel is insane and how he might have performed his essay writing in UPSC exams and I really want to read the answers of those top 3 candidates essays in his batch , I'm sure there was bias and no way he could have lost top 1. Just blessed to have known him and his ideas for years and hope to see him back soon and long
Thank you Jp garu for interacting with young people. I only have one criticism, when you said it is the system which needs to change and inherently Indians are not corrupt or good individuals I differ to the aspect where it is the people who as a society should change if we want to make all our women feel safe. This is not an aspect for debate where we compare and say we are better than other countries. The kind of physical/mental abuse women go through on a daily basis is absolutely unacceptable.
I have seen some short reels of you guys while scrolling but never gave attention to your videos. This is the first time I came across your podcast, obviously because I follow Mr. JP's videos. Great podcast. I usually see that he gives some interviews for about 1hr, but you guys made him so comfortable that he was also switching between languages, which he usually doesn't do. Great work! Great podcast. He is trying to appeal to the younger generation and hope they notice of it and understand things!!!? Great work again!!!
Watched the complete video over a strech of 12 days.... I might not accept all his opinions but most of them i love the way he analyses the situation.... Big fan! Thank you permit room
Nyc dudes i know jp sir gave so many interviews majorly focused on issue based or general politics and it impacts but you just cover all the sides of society You leave a great contribution to digital world
Thanks for the podcast guys, i thought of going to movie but after starting this video for a while then i skipped my plan and continued this video.. ❤ thanks once again
Dear J.P sir, I was District Manager , NEDCAP yr.1987_1988,(E.G.dist) kakinada and I know you have provided a lot of support as C& D.M .Though L.S could not flourish you have taken the steering with a determination to inspire youth with your valuable knowledge and analysis. I still remember the stir by medicos of R.R med.college by close counselling ; that was my 1st. impression.I like your analysis and advise to the youth of our nation the strength of Present India.May your tribe increase. MY ADVICE TO EDUCATED YOUTH " FOLLOW J.P.Sir and build a strong india".
Hello! A fan from your early 'Not a Tolly review' days. I am from Chennai and I understand very little telugu so would love more English-Telugu content. I am sure subtitles must be a lot of work but some translation / explanation would be greatly appreciated. Congratulations of running this show consistently, and for achieving the variety you wanted in the topics and guests!
I feel this is best episode of all the podcasts ever produced by permit room!! Many more to come!! Though, I enjoy the film discussions too, I love the fact that this podcast is not being limited to only film discussions 🎉 Would like to see more free flowing discussion!
@5:24 he talks about the work of Robert Wade and the model of corruption introduced by this oxford scholar. Here is the title of the work in case if some is interested (refer to figure 1 for the model) : "The system of administrative and political corruption: Canal irrigation in South India" by R.wade (The journal of development studies 1982)
Well done guys! Next time he's on PR, try to pick one problem and deep dive with him to understand the complex nuances/challenges of the problem, and put out possible solutions (which might help you guys with short form content as well). I have seen a lot of JP sir's videos but none that do a deep dive to really see how his mind works. I think we all can learn from that and just to add to that, having the content in English would help expand the reach. This is an appeal to JP sir's team as well.
It’s wonderful to invite him and sharing his thoughts for 4 hours , but one big problem is the host are not cross questioning him and get more insights , you should have a conversations.
Meeru channel ehh vision or aim tho pettaro naku theludhu..but getting JP sir will be biggest milestone for your channel and it emphasizes on the point that your doing something that matters..great work! Congrats!
Waiting for your standard answer about how they would deal 4 important things in life, Looks like it got missed here 🥺. But whatta informative and provoking podcast !!!
Sad to see that the hosts didn't perform enough research before interview . Nevertheless, good to hear JP's experiences and insights. Hosts sounded very dumb.
Hriday, I've been to your stand up comedy show in 2017-18, I don't remember completely, cause I didn't like it very well in the coffee cup Jubilee Hills road no. 36. But this episode completely hooked me. Don't ever fucking stop the permit room, man..I fucking love it
Watched it over a week or more, thanks for this Permit room team.... Also Hriday, ur shirt quote - "not my problem", is there any subtle or not so subtle message... 😃
I remember as a kid when JP was contesting in the election, my dad was telling me about him and I naively said he seems like a great guy he should be the CM of the state, not someone with no qualifications or knowledge. Been following him since then, great to see him in this podcast
Thanks for inviting JP. Pleasure to listen JP garu covering such wide range of topics from first principles.
Thank you for your support! Hope you enjoy all our future episodes :)
Next guest should be prof Nageshwar
Standard of permit room elevated exponentially!

@2:25:10 man that line gave me goosebumps. Talks straight to what is wrong with our society.
Thank you @PermitRoom team and JP Sir for taking my question. Echo with Sir's example on school. Exactly the feeling I get when I pay my children's fees 🙂
Two days I have watched the videos. In pauses. but i am able to resonate so much. I willing to focus on my life.

Eye opening.
It is also a frustrating realization that our politics is broken and it is not leading to solutions but it is a part of the problem.
I was hoping he mentions Samuel p Huntington...I really felt validated when he mentioned every book I read and liked...clash of civilizations is the cherry on top.

It's a plesent surprise to see jp sir here. My respect for this man never die
This man deserves a biopic for himself. There are a lot of incidents to cover, would be an exciting plot!
