Thank you!!! Absolutely fantastic highlights
Nadal's topspin looks so much more violent and challenging to deal with from this angle. From a higher view it looks like it bounces in Djokovic's strike zone, but in this view it looks like it's truly pulling Djokovic off the court. Incredible.
I wasn't there live but I remember this as yesterday. The spin of rafa isn't even as effective cause of the weather. It was pretty rainy and clouded that day. They had to stop in set 4 cause of rain. Imagine if you see this with hit weather. The bounce would be totally different.
What’s also amazing is how short his forehands consistently land and Novak cannot do anything with them.
@@tdane5017 nadal has made an entire career with Forehands landing short in between but he still prevails because he is deep behing baseline, has power and anticipation and ofcourse the unreal footwork and footspeed
@@gotimlol5318 that was my point. Most people have big trouble winning rallies with shots landing before the service line, but he has so much spin that it launches so deep forcing Novak to hit it while standing beyond the baseline.
i played with my player against rafa, and its insane what this guy produces :)
Two of the greatest players ever to pick up a racket. Two WARRIORS 💥
So true 😭
Wawrinka is highest level to ever play
@@monstermichaeltoad5705 HAHAHAHA
That's strange, I don't see Federer here
@@JL-fh4qw he said two of the greatest.
As a Fed fan, it always bemused me how some people would say Nadal is a purely defensive player. He’s one of the greatest offensive players of all time and this video showcases that perfectly.
Oh absolutely agreed and I’m a Djokovic fan btw
Only on clay
@@quachwilliam8082 on hardcourt and clay. On grass he doesn't have the time to wind up his most powerful groundstrokes, but he does on hardcourt too
lol, thats interesting, i never seen any people whom remarked that nadal was a 100% defensive player
@@mylightb4sunrise611 On my college tennis team back in the day, almost every on it called him that to which I disagreed every time
Wow this is legendary stuff 🤯!!
This is honestly an underrated final. I personally think 2012 is the best Rafa has ever played at the French Open, and Novak was able to hang with him by playing extremely agressive and managed to take a set and make it competitive.
I think personally 2008, 2017 and 2010 Rafa were better at the French (although in 2010 he was relatively untested at the French) just from the eye test. In 2012 he was just really solid and didn’t have many dips in level throughout each match.
Underrated from you. 2012 is the best year ever in tennis. 2012 and 2013 are the 2 best RG clash between them. 2014 follows immediately
@@SJ-di5zu 2008 and 2020 were the best years of rafa at rg the perfect mix of aggressive and defensive tennis
@@filippoborsato7288 I think 2007 was pretty intense too
2008 was his best performance.
WOW...This is a completely different way of viewing the match. I can't believe the pace, spin and angles of Rafa's shots on clay and it was overcast too. Unreal. Thank you
true, i am thinking of making something similar :=)
From this angle it feels a lot more real. When you watch courtside, you can feel the game is super and has more spin than you see on TV, and this view shows us that.
100%
Djokovic's hopeless frustration at 14:10. Against anyone else he would've won that point 5 times over yet Nadal's ridiculous defence and lightning quick counterattack when he had the opportunity still won out.
treu that
This video should be named how is it to witness the king of clay at the French open final at his height.
An epic view for a legendary battle. Thank you sLlorca TV for uploading this treasure
I'm a Djokovic fan, but I secretly admire Nadal and love watching his intensity. Gives me goosebumps and also makes me insecure (if he threatens Djokovic like he did pre 2013). What Nadal does to the ball is incredible - I wonder if I'll be as interested in the sport when the Big 3 fade away. Apart from Alcaraz and Musetti, none of the young guns have a beautiful game. Fed and Nadal play a beautiful game. Novak plays with clinical efficiency. The next gens are so characterless (apart from Alcaraz and Musetti) - i feel dead watching Zverev or Sinner or Medvedev. Shapovalov is an exciting player to watch, but so horribly inconsistent.
well said
It's so realistic, makes you feel you're actually there!
true :)
I watched this at home and it was awesome. When I watched this video it feels like I am in Paris watching from the seats in Philippe Chatrier. This video is gold. Thanks for sharing. Vamos!!
Thank you, sLlorca ,for bringing me to Pais,France.i enjoyed every minute of it.
One of the best videos of tennis in YT, amazing angles... thank you for posting man! Regards
i try to do something similar :)
Incroyable vue, que l'on aura jamais à la TV. Merci !
Qué maravilla de vídeo, muchísimas gracias por compartirlo.
best content on the internet today👏
The height over the net of Nadal s Topspin forehand is amazing
absolutely
Thanks a lot for the footage man, this is awesome stuff
agreed :)
A great video! Thanks!
Nice! I like that part at 9:07-9:30 when Nadal was hitting those forehands…. Great video!
Great video! Really cool to see this from a spectator point of view!
Many thanks to you Sir 👏
That footwork at 00:41 is 💥
Great video
great video
myu buen video, gracias por compartirlo
This really shows how in damp conditions, that spin on Nadal’s forehand is really neutralized. The heavy spin isn’t the reason for Nadal’s dominance on clay. In 2012 and 2020 he beat Djokovic with low bouncing conditions, and he only dropped a set total between both matches. The real reason is his combination of offense and defense. He’ll get to every shot Djokovic hits unless he hits the lines 3x in a row, whereas Nadal just needs to crush one forehand into the corner and no one will reach it. How can you beat someone when they have the biggest weapon on the court but also better defense than you?
If that is the reason than why he has AO and wimbledon just 3 titles?
Ofc because is of top spin the most, and the way how the ball bounce from the clay
@@KRLE152 with clay you have a lot more time, so he can reach shots that would otherwise be winners on indoor courts and grass courts. US open is kinda middle of the way which is why Rafa had success there. On clay also serve is neutralised a lot, so he doesn't lose out to heavier flat-servers, and also fast return is hence less of an advantage (rafa returns from quite far back).
@@KRLE152 1. A lot of injuries. Tough to win when you never play the tournament.
2. Faster courts mean his forehand will be slightly less powerful (although he learned to shorten the backswing a bit as his career progressed) and also neutralizes his advantage because on clay, no one can hit through the court except Rafa and a few others, whereas on grass nearly anyone can hit winners.
3. His movement and defense is worse on other surfaces. Still top 2 all time in his prime, but on clay his defense is untouchable.
4. His return of serve isn’t as good on quicker and low bouncing surfaces. He’s a bit inconsistent when he chooses to stand on the baseline, although he has had many tournaments where his baseline returning is incredible.
5. Serve matters more off clay.
6. Djokovic and Federer exist. Same reason neither of them won many French Opens; because Nadal exists.
@@SJ-di5zu Nadal is definitely the greatest player ever on the clay court, and the greatest player ever in way of dominanting the favorite court. But for me overall Djokovic is the best and more consistent everywhere. His only problem on the french open was nadal, just look how many finals and semifinals he lost against him there(and won 2), if there wasnt Nadal he would win all those, while Nadal on other surfaces he can't even get to the round to play with Djokovic
@@KRLE152 1000000% correct comment
Looks different from this level.Great work.
Son dos bestias del tenis mundial el mio rafa
super video
esta muy bueno el video se aprecia bien los tiros su calidad y velocidad exelente video parece que estuvieras en el estadio
Rafael 🥇🎾🌍🥰❤️😍😍❤️🥰🥰🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Strongest Nadal ever
2008 was way better.
2008 and 2010 Nadal will eat him
@@Aman-nk5uq 2012 Nadal had More experience and look at his body, it was bigger than that 2 years. His Baseline was too strong here
Recuerdo que al día siguiente salí rápido de la escuela para ver el desenlace.
Tu restera toujours le meilleur joueur de terre battu
greattt
He’s too good on clay. Probably the most dominant any player has and will ever be on a particular surface.
Camera man is very poor recording.

ジョコビッチのフィジカルvsナダルのムーンボールだわ
Novak, eres unico! ❤️ Te quiere el Mundo! ❤️
Rafiiii... Rafiiii... Que circo!
For me the 2 best players on clay ever.
In this video you see,
Djokovic: overall undisputed GOAT and greatest hard court player of all time
Nadal: greatest undisputed clay court player of all time
Only one missing is
Sampras: greatest grass court player of all time
Mhm, i think Djokovic is better than Sampras on grass
I don't think Djokovic is the goat, but that's just my opinion. But he is a great player for sure
@@djokovicgreatest8720 no one can come close to Sampras on grass. Especially old school fast grass or really fast hard courts. McEnroe said Sampras was the best ever on grass. I would say Federer would be next.
This seems a little bit accelerated, is it just me? I may be in the wrong thought
Warriors in PARIS🤩🤩🤩🤩
Two fighters
Los franceses prefieren que gane un serbio a un español !!!
Every player has an enemy or good competitor but in Nadal case he has injuries 😅
nadal is legion.
Le type qui gueule à la balle de match au moment où Djokovic s'apprête à servir devrait etre interdit de stade à vie.
💯💯💯
To play against Rafa Nadal on virtua tennis is as desperating as in real life,.. giving back all the balls till your failure,..
he is such a toy😂😂😂
Je n’ai jamais pu aimer la mentalité de nadal 🐗 Quel égocentrique 🤮
absolutely no spark in djoko's game. flat, uninspired and boring af.
2015 and 2021roland garros perfect revenge
Boy you do have a serious disorder , don't you ? Do you really have nothing else other than to trash nadal ?
Not really. Rafa is still 7-2 at RG vs Djokovic
13 times rafa in the final. 13 times undefeated. Those 2 times rafa played bad anyways. And if you are the same Travis bickle.. You were for rafa a year ago. We have commented about tennis a year or even 2 years ago. I was joking about your taxi driver reference.
@@Olly_2024_ 7-2 at RG and 8-2 in best of five . One was a Davis Cup encounter if I am not wrong
