It can be cheap and shoddy often and 'ultras' are a usually associated with violence. Great to have some good support but just because you have a smoke flare, does not make you a good team or supporters - aside from, many people are severely toxically affected by that smoke which is deeply unhealthy. Especially in a small ground. Which is why many non league clubs in England ban them.
Some 'ultras' who think they are 'ultras' think it is a licence to chanting abuse, all match and are often about 13 years old, who at that age, do not know the difference between genuine support, humour - and abuse.
In at least one recent play off in the Southern League in England ( below the National ) this resulted in around 20 kids, going around to an away bus and chucking wood and stones, thinking they are 'ultras' - that is the issue.
@@ramadamming8498 used to be that way up north of the border back when the whole thing started going about 6-7 years ago but now after covid, i can see a massive improvement with young emerging groups supporting their teams instead of using it as a way to go out and cause trouble and its definitely a lot different now as these groups are actually becoming an established part of the support and not disbanding after 5 games

Although they could probably be out sung by some of Scotland's top ultras like Celtic Rangers Aberdeen Motherwell Dunfermline etc, these boys put a lot of Premiership clubs to shame.

hi blair, after pre season is done and the junior league is back for 23-24, you should come along the ayrshire coast to Ardrossan Winton Rovers my local team. A team alongside vale of clyde were promoted. We have ultras that all know each other and the community is great. Ardrossan winton rovers would for sure welcome you with open arms.
