Picked mine up last month and simply love it. Never considered a Tesla. First EV 2024 i4M50 Portimao Blue.
Hearing the numerous issues with Tesla I’m glad I never considered a Tesla in the end either tbh. I think you’ve 100% gone with the right choice for sure.
For this price point it’s the best EV by a mile in my opinion, will look lovely in Portimao blue too.
Hope the video helped and you enjoyed, thank you so much for watching I appreciate you coming on here to watch and comment also 🙌
I approve of your colour choice!
I want one haha
Mine arrives in like 2 months cant wait
Mega! Your gonna love it, did you get to drive one or did you go straight out and by one blind as such?
@@PeakPerformanceReviews blind bought it lol, i wont be dirivng it anyways im 15
Haha what?!? That’s mad?! How? Why? What haha 😛
Love the Bucky Beaver front grill design.
Not many do haha 😝
Get mine in 3 weeks!
Mega! Did you get to drive it or did you go straight for it? It’s epic you’re gonna love it ❤️🙌 what colour did you go for?
Mineral white. There were 4 of them that came up on the work car scheme site, so I had to be quick before they went. I haven't even driven it yet. Watching your video I can't wait.
You will love it it’s so so good, well done on getting one I’m really happy for you and glad you came along our video.
Please stick around and let me know when you get it as we’d love to hear from you and how you get on with it.
You’ll be happy and we’re love it I’m sure of it ❤️🙌
@@ianatkinson6291 You will love it. Mine is featured on my channel (only 4 months old) and every time I drive it is pure bliss. It does everything from calm family driving to animalistic hyper power speed at your finger tips. The car is put together so well and reasonably efficient considering the HP and speed.
I really want one now haha! I could be in the market for something similar soon ish so it’s sooooo on my radar 🫶
Curious to know do you know who owned this vehicle when you tested it? I'm considering buying this exact car (same reg number) as it's for sale as an approved used model. But if its a press car I won't be keen
Hello Golty, it is a BMW UK Press car I’m afraid but I guess it’s better for you to know 🙌 I totally get that, some journalists/reviewers are careful enough but it certainly will have been driven fairly hard without a doubt.
Thanks for watching by the way, stick around I’d love to hear how you get on with your search to find the right one of these for you. This car is absolutely brilliant in every way and I don’t blame you at all for wanting one 👍
@@PeakPerformanceReviews thank you I'm still going ahead with getting this one I think as it still has the usual warranty is very low miles and a great spec.
I know for a fact BMW press cars are assigned a special code in the factory and given extra prep work to ensure they are built properly for the press, so it's probably a good thing that the car will less likely have rattles and such
Good stuff!
Yeah for sure, I didn’t drive this long ago at all and it was solid as a rock, zero rattles and felt brand new.
Absolutely class bit of kit with so much to like, if your getting a decent price on it I wouldn’t blame you at all and with a warranty you can’t grumble ❤️🙌👌
Thanks again for watching 👌👍
Was 2.9 launch downhill?
Yep slightly and with 1ft roll out
regular launch is 3.6 if u were wonderin
So fast it’s mega! Time and time again too 👌🙌
My daily is the Tesla Model 3 Performance, so i was not blown away by acceleration of this i4 M50 when i drove it. I can't stand the front grilles, large transmission tunnel in the rear seat even in EV and there is no front boot. It weighs nearly 2300kg and the fact that it does not have it's own dedicated charging networks is just a deal breaker for me.
This is only a little quicker so you wouldn’t I don’t think so that makes sense, on paper the TM3P should be quicker but it’s not from my tests but the handling on this is definitely superior. I totally understand you gripes and the networks are wayyyyyy better with Tesla and tbh you can’t beat Tesla for that.
Thanks for watching and commenting 🙌👍
Tesla's are quick 0-60 because the i4 M50 doesn't get on full throttle till about 35mph, but from there, it holds the full 536HP flat till top speed. The Tesla on the other hand is quick right off the line, so it might beat the M50 by .15-.20 seconds,0-60mph but then the power tapers off. Hence in the 100-200km/hr the BMW beats the M3P by almost 2 seconds. The 121mph trap in the M50 shows the upper speed acceleration advantage of the BMW. I beat M3P Teslas into submission all them time on the freeway in the useful 65-110 range. The Model 3 might have no transmission tunnel, but the useful, open hatchback area of the i4 M50 trumps all the utility advantage of the Tesla. I have carried cabinets, kitchen tables, etc in my M50. Real world test results on my M50 can be seen in this Dragy run:

@@hotrod182 that’s some interesting info and a good vid fella, it’s certainly close, 0-60 I think most are getting 3.4 ish and my time is the quickest I’ve seen 🙌
Both M3P and M50 are pretty much similar in speed (you're splitting hairs) and BMW has signed up to join Tesla's network starting next year so without the supercharger network advantage, the BMW is a better product overall (although slightly more costly than the Tesla).
I’d rather have the BMW by a country mile, drives way better so I’m with you on that too
