This is my dussehra special telugu travel vlog about few famous temples near Kakinada i.e Tatiparthi, Gollapurolu Mandal, East Godavari dist. in Andhra Pradesh.
This place is very near to another holy place, Annavaram at about 20kms distance.
At Mata Sri Aparna’s abode, every Tuesday from 6am to 12am Kumkumarchana is performed. One can participate in that if interested.
Next we visited Padagaya Kshetram. Padagaya is one of the scared of hindus. Sri Kukkuteswara swamy form of lord Shiva, is presiding deity who reveals himself in the form of Linga. This place is known as Padagaya because lord Brahma, Vishnu and Maheswara killed Gayasura and his legs reached Pithapuram. The place where his legs rested was a pond where after this pond came to be known as Padagaya.
Here Lord Shiva is in the form of Swayambhu Linga. The Linga resembles that of a cock. Hence Lord Shiva is called Sri Kukkuteswara swamy. The Pithapuram piligrimage is 10th shakthi peeta in Astadasa Sakthi peetas. Here lord Dattatreya having 3 forms and situated here as Swayambhu.
