Actually the N/Z ratio needs to be between 1.25 - 1.5 for the elements in between 40-80 in the Periodic Table. Since Mo contains the Atomic Number of 42 (Closer to 40), So the stable N/Z Ratio for Mo should be around 1.25. Since the value is more closer to 1.5, we came to the conclusion that the value is too high and it will undergo Beta Decay.
