- In this video we show the process of sawing a pine log into siding for a barn. Our Customer called and needed it quickly, so we made it happen! We are sawing on our 1940's Corley Circle Sawmill. This mill uses a 3-71 Detroit Power unit. Thanks for watching! #sawmill #lumber #sawmillbusiness
There ain't nothing like having good help and family working together to make a living. I think the cause of the break down of the American family is the fact that family's are no longer working together. I am starting a sawmilling business myself and I enjoy your videos.
Thanks so much! You are very right!
Certainly enjoyed
Thanks for watching!
Good video. It's a shame about that GIANT split. That split ruined a lot of lumber. Other than the split the log was excellent.
(BTY...........I live in Central NY and I'd be hard pressed to work when it's 36 degrees outside)
Just curious, where ya’ll from? Surroundings look like north Florida, maybe South Georgia.
Just curious, why would I come to a sawmill to get lumber rather than a local retailer? Is it quality? Price? Custom cuts?
Funny to watch you freezing, we've been waking up to sub 20 degree temps the last few days here near Denver 😀
Custom sizing, vastly cheaper pricing, quality control is phenomenal!
It can't be that cold, the puddles aren't frozen
hi there just driving in , nice sawing , and you have a helper , sure would be nice good show john
There ain't nothing like having good help and it appears to me he has good help.

Hello From Northern Virginia, new subscriber here, safe Sawing to ya 🚜🪵👍🏼🇺🇸
Thanks for the sub! Welcome aboard!
You have a awesome wife that is willing to help you great video
Thanks!
Come to Michigan much colder
Good job. You're right about the temperature here in the south. Mother nature is throwing around temperatures like lottery numbers. Take care and have a blessed and safe day and I'll see you on your next video
Great video, how often do you have to ReSharpen the circular saw? With pine, not to often?
Once a week maybe.
Beautiful help. Looks like your sawdust pile needs to be gone. Do you sale it to horse farms?.or what?
I do. We have so much it’s never ending!
Great video, love watching those old circular mills work. Bandsaws work great but just not the same! Thanks
Thanks for watching!
I prefer running a circle saw for most wood but every type of timber and application has its best ways of sawing it up
Indeed!
Hey there buddy how are ya? You sure have a nice set up lots of sawmills to choose from. Ya it’s tough to work out in the cold for sure especially when your not used to it. I’m waiting for the snow to melt so I can get to my logs. I’m here on the western slope of the Sierras had about 3 feet of snow. I have 3- 30 to 36 inch fur longs I need to get in the mill. I have to reinforce my roof rafters, we have way too much snow!! I love running my Norwood hd36v2 sawmill it makes awesome lumber! I t sure is nice to have some help pulling boards. Take care and God bless you and your family!
Thanks so much for Commenting! Sounds like you have it really cold and we are just being babies lol! How do you like your norwood hd36v2?
@@wallacefarmandsawmill good morning I really like it had some issues when putting together but got it all squared away, so it runs really well now. I cut mostly pine , cedar and fir. Norwood blades only lasted about 45 minutes in the wood on pressure washed logs. I switched to woodmizer double hard blades and they last a lot longer. I’m thinking of switching to blade roller guides rather than the ceramics.
I bought the Norwood because I can add hydraulics later as I’m an old fart, I should have the mill work harder than me hehehehehe.
Some day I would love to get a Lucas 10/30 saw mill for the really huge logs we have out here. I’ve got trees 5 foot at the butt way to big for my machine. Gotta quarter them which takes a month of Sundays! Thanks for sharing all your content I’m glad I found your channel. God bless you and your family.
Perfect setup bud with the two different types of sawmills
Thanks man!
I agree!
Good video needs work on audio can't hear what is being talked about . I know equipment is expensive, mite try voice over . then I would subscribe.
At such sawmills, safety precautions must be observed.
good that you have helpers thats why i sold my mill one man on a circle mill was to much really need a tailer , so went back to my bandsaw much happier now but still have 2ft of snow so its maple syrup time!!
Geniale Säge gutes Video lg manuel und danke fürs teilen.
