I can so relate to the pantser challenges of getting back into the writing after a break, knowing where you plan to end up but not knowing in advance how to get there which makes the writing slower... Super impressed that your first book didn't need much editing *while being a pantser* though! I'm kind of the same with shorter pieces of writing, I can get a pretty clean first draft, but I'm working on a fantasy novel too at the moment and IT'S A MESS 🤣 Mainly because I did 1000 words of summer earlier this month and really had to push through to get the word count in. Was a fun experience though!
