The mother was a shameless grifter, leaving her husband financially vulnerable. She misappropriated the house funds her husband provided. Then later extorted her grown children and misappropriated their hard earned money too. All for unworthy relations so she can virtue signal how generous she is, ignoring it’s with other people’s money. Tradition be damned, this is essentially stealing. I’m glad they highlight this problem with poor families.
