Today is the 60th anniversary of the Universal Studios Hollywood tour they re-opened some old attractions, like the earthquake tour they called it the glamour tram tour where you get to step out the tram and walk around the studio lot. You have the opportunity to take lots of pictures with different photo ops - Розваги
I remember going with my family in about 1976. It was very much a studio, not a lot of extra stuff for the tourists. It must not have cost too much, because my parents wouldn't have paid a lot to go. My dad walked with a cane, and when we were waiting in line for the tram someone from Universal came and told us to go ahead and get on, because he was handicapped, we didn't have to wait. That was the first time as a kid that I can remember any sort of accommodations for him. The shark from Jaws was probably what scared me the most! There were the paintings from Night Gallery and the Bates Motel and lots of houses, buildings and props from movies and TV. A few effects like the flood of water coming down the hill. I can't imagine paying the prices they want now for the theme parks.
Once again Mike, as Bob Hope sings, "Thanks for the memories"! My mother and I moved to Hollywood in 1962 and would go to Disneyland and Universal at least once a year. Also Knotts Berry farm. Universal was so much fun then, even without all the hi-tech of nowadays. They had a section where you could walk around and make photos with props. Like The Munster's house and Grandpas lab, McHale's Navy and Gilligan's Islands, Rat Patrol vehicles, foam rocks and giant size props of everyday things. You nailed it when you said that it just makes you happy to be there. It did and it still does when you take us there. Thanks again my friend for all you do.
Yes! Yes! U are right on point about how Universal Studios used to be! I bet we were there at the same times! Now it's just a money making hi tech mess ugh!
Hollywood used to be a fabulous place to live and play ... Everything lost its charm for sure!
Thanks for The Memories for sure❤🎬!
Basicaly you reboot your childhood and take all of us with you.Wunderbar. Danke.
Great show Mike! Thanks for taking me to Universal! Without you. I'd never get to go. I watch everyday for the pleasure of your company! Say hi to Daisy for me.
Dang.... parking is Expensive!!
Thank you Mike. Enjoyed this video. Get to see things I never would if it weren't for you ❤
those parking prices are absolutely outrageous I don't know how anybody can live in California
Lol, they don't "live". They survive.
Honestly. An Uber ride from a hour away would still be cheaper
Yeah, really. Is the pavement going to be that damaged by the weight of cars that they need that kind of profit for potential repairs? I went to Universal Orlando a few years ago and that swore me off amusement parks for good. Just ridiculous what they charge for everything.
That's how they not so subtly goad you into buying the year pass. Parking is included (or at least it used to be.)
Locals don't park there most likely.
You bring back a lot of California Gold with Hugh Howser , keep Growing!
Best way to start your day. With the GIV!
Thank you sir!
As always awesome video!!!!
Happy 60th Anniversary to Universal Studios!
Great Scott, you went back in time!!!!
Great Scott is right. Not boasting though. 🤙
Watching your videos is like hanging out with a good friend. Doing adventures.
Thanks Tom Swayer(GIV).
Blessings to You

Awesome
husband speaking age 81 my st trip to Universal had to be 31 years ago. A great time then when you could afford to park.
I can't wait to visit Universal Studios this year!
You are as much of an attraction as the attractions themselves. Schön!
So much has changed since I was there last in 2006. Pretty cool they let you walk around the Psycho set. Geat video, thanks GiV!
💡👍Brilliant!!
I Love Hollywood And Universal Studios I Wish I Live There They Be Rad.
Love GIV ❤️
so fun
Good tour
looked fun mike thanks for sharing
It was 30 years ago when I took my daughter to Universal to celebrate Back to the Future, we both had the original tee shirts. Wish I would have kept them.
Awesome vlog of Universal Studios Hollywood. Enjoyed the walk around the studio lot with different photo ops. I never got to go as a kid ($), so a lot of fun. Your facial expressions say it all when you feel a certain way; thx GIV
$32 for general parking??? HOLY CRAP!
My then husband and I went there and did the tour in 2002. I don't remember how much parking was then. I really enjoyed the tour! It was cool seeing everything, especially the "Jaws" shark, Jurassic Park exhibit and parting of the Red Sea. Oh, and the house and motel from "Psycho!" At the "Best Little Whorehouse in Texas" house, they were filming a TV show that was airing at the time (I can't remember the name), and one of the actors came out to the bus to say hi to everyone (can't remember his name, either).
Oh, how did I forget the "Back to the Future" set with the clock tower and town? There was just so much. I haven't watched the video yet, so it'll be interesting to see what's different.
I love the adventures of the GIV!!
You should direct the movie's
Great video GiV

GIV Mike Thank You for sharing.
I love you man you are a legend!! much love from holland!! 🥰😍💚💖💗💙
Mike. I can see you two together. You and the NYC female cab driver. 👍👏
Thanks Mike! They used to have quite a bit of area where it would be a walking tour back in the 70s,80s. They would take you into the buildings and show you how they make snow , props etc. I remember I met Grandpa Munster Al Lewis there in the 60s. Haven't been in 30 years! The GIV brings the magic to us 🥰👍
That King Kong Ride scene would be just wonderful for my 😮 high blood pressure!
No wonder you like Universal Studios. GIV it is a really fun day out.Aperfect place to.come to remove all the stressed of life ,!!!!
Parking Prices are insane , enjoyed this video !!!!
Entretenido man!
Hoping you can get a walking tour GIV. You're a celebrity to us!
Thanks for sharing.. very awesome video.. hmm I might need to get there next time I am in Hollywood 😊
Thank you, GIV, for making our weekend extra special! Good job!
I was there is 1977, the movie Airport was a theme at one of the attractions that the public were used in recreating the special effects of the crash into the ocean. I met Alison Martino and her parents there, I wonder if the place still has the van that the 6 Million Dollar Man lifts up ? The Psycho House was up on the hill, Jaws and the parting of the sea was there on the tour.
Cool! I just went there in September 2023 to see Nintendo land. I hadn’t been there since the 90s and it was fun but has definitely changed a bit. Back then they let us get off the tram and go onto the studio sets. My aunt was chosen to get into a space suit and stand in front of green screen that made her look like she was in space and I got the seat where Jaws gets in your face. I miss the bridge and the giant King Kong. He was actually really cool. So much fun. 😂
So fun. Thanks for the adventure.

24:27 you can see the Sheraton Universal Hotel in Studio City. That's where we stay when we come out there. Back in '92, we met Telly Savalas there! He was living there at the time.
Awesome video Mike - Thanks again for hanging out!
Hi ... from your favourite cleaner at dreamworld lol
Another great video from GIV, so cool!
Thanks for bringing us along 😅🎉
Wow that was pretty cool! Its huge! Great video!
Fun video. My life the last four years has been one thrill seeking theme park scene with all the ups and downs. From the financial T-Rex devouring all my cash to the quezy feeling of a thrill ride I just can't get off of. Then the Simpsons save me just in time and somehow I make through another day,! What a challenging time we live in.
Can't wait for the new fast and furious ride to open 😊
Come to Universal Studio in Japan! ✨🇯🇵
Cool video. Brings back memories from when I went in 2018 from Australia 🇦🇺
Great Video. Pyshco was written by Bloch in a hotel in Weyauwega, Wisconsin. I helped the owner of the opera house rescue one of the hotel signs a few years back when I lived there. Last I know, one of the hotel signs was still up along the hwy. Thanks, Mike. Another great video.
I was there is the 80's !! awesome
Yay. Great spot
Thanks for the tour! Haven’t been there for so long. Some cool things. 👍
Visited in 2008. Really enjoyed the memories. Don't remember paying that much for parking. I will just stick to the theme parks on the Gold Coast.

Now those at the beginning look like some fancy tennis shoes there bud and that was funny the red carpet right on another good video thank you. The price of parking blew my mind $32 to park your car Man that's psychotic to me of course I don't live in California anymore not since the '70s. LA was real fun in the '60s and '70s of course I was a kid growing up but I loved it Loved the beach. 😅
