  • We’re in Scotland this week to report on a charity roebuck stalking outing with a pro guide and the ‘Kilted Chef’. We’re in Wales where the new general licences banning magpie shooting are set to turn back the clock on wildlife conservation. And we’re in South Africa, where a visually-impaired lad is learning to be a professional hunter, plus the UK’s National Smallbore Rifle Association (NSRA) explains its British Blind Championships. We’re giving away a £165 pair of Kite Fitis binoculars, David is on the news stump and James Marchington has the top hunting videos on UA-cam in Hunting UA-cam. It's another busy week for #FieldsportsBritain

What an uplifting show this week! The CHUF fundraiser, partially sighted shooting in South Africa and the UK all lifted the spirits. Then along comes the Welsh assembly and lets some of the air out of the balloon. No, they are not planning to ban game shooting in Wales, just make it so inconvenient as to be virtually impossible. What a shower of Ravi Shankers.
    Thanks for a great show.

When I was a kid back in the 1950 game keepers and farmers controlled crow’s magpies and other’s there were song birds everywhere.

I had a conversation with an anti Month or two ago I told him predation was top heavy and Corvids needed shooting, he said they are only just getting back to their pre-war levels, I said nothing they are predating on is back to their pre-war levels... he stopped replying 🤭

@@ddoherty5956 when i was building my house 40 years ago i noticed very little birdsong in the evenings i live in the country as i worked i saw a lot of magpies and greys one evening in a tree near me i heard a commotion and out came a magpie with a young blackbird followed by the parents about an nhour later the same thing happened thats when i went for my shotgun i started a campaign to control the magpies and after a year or two the difference in the dawn and evening chorus was very noticeable from when i started i have continued shooting and trapping greys and magpies until this present day there are lots of songbird varieties and you can still see magpies and greys if you want too so for any sensible person who thinks it a great idea to protect magpies and greys need their heads examined

@@TheOneshot54 good for you Liam, I find magpies are worse than crows as they are twice as sneaky, fortunately we don't have many Grey's here but Corvids are everywhere, it's the road kill keeping their numbers artificially high I think.

You don't even have to go back that far. I remember in the 1990's seeing so many song birds, finches and field birds in a hay barn or grain shed , that i thought I was looking at an aviary. you will never see anything like that again in my lifetime.

@@fieldsportstv Hi Charlie, i have found two videos that show the skinning, the first is with a quad pulling the skin off and it is at the end of the video at 10,0.The deer is hung by front legs which are skinned partially and then a rope is tied to skin and is pulled off by the quad. And here is the link. ua-cam.com/video/r6eHiZmlxlQ/v-deo.html
The second video is if one wants to skin the deer by hand and here is the link, ua-cam.com/video/14bJtoGwzHk/v-deo.html
Both videos are old, one 7 or so years and the other one 2009.
Will try to put together a new video and forward it to you at some stage.
      With best regards,, Tony.

Total exellence as usual, i will clearly say the ara and politicians need education, since its easy to be misled if one is not open to see and learn about things, just to be told by others.
And that one see upon world history enough examples that the few brainwashed zealots have pawed desteuction upon logic, common sense and individual people freedom and right to be happy in sports and protecting rural countryside from 1933 phantacists and others.

@Fieldsports Channel Charlie, perhaps this is something you can answer or get an opinion on. Being Tony Blair and Gordon Brown were World Economic Forum young leaders in 1992 prior to running the country and their MPs oath is solely to the Queen does any law they placed on the statutes (and treaty's signed) whilst acting as Prime minister stand as a legal statute? If there is a question regarding their motivation for the extreme limitation of shooting, that is in the WEF interest in order to achieve its long term aims, surely the question of conflict of interest arises and the legality of this restriction on a constitutional basis? I thought it would be an interesting idea to explore.

Thanks - not sure this will work, sadly, as it's Parliament that passes laws not prime ministers. Am sure we can get them on something... / Charlie

@@fieldsportstv But, doesn't the party whip do the bidding of the Prime minister during votes. I think it's interesting territory as no one has challenged it yet as we're are only just finding out about what's been going on. It's only 1st world English speaking counties they seem intent on disarming and making helpless through disunity. Canada, Aus, Us and the US no one has even challenged it in any of these countries. I wondered if it might be worth getting an opinion from another channel such as Black belt barrister? It reaches far beyond just shooting but we have a large axe to grind.
