The best thing about this was the obvious respect they had for each other. Both of them legends in completely different styles of music, but both appreciative of the talent and mastery of the other. They clearly really enjoyed being able to perform together. It was fantastic.
Just over 3 months ago I was bored so my brother says UA-cam find some music for listening to. If I hadn't I would have missed this and everything else so a HUGE THANK YOU.
Pavarotti sung with many famous pop stars in his special concerts, i miss that. Pity that no one has taken over his example. Only in Beste zangers there are some acts between opera singers and pop stars, and Bocelli with Ed Sheeran.
Wouldn't call Bocelli an opera star, maybe a popera star but he certainly is not powerful enough to sing in opera houses over an orchestra with no microphone. Hence why Bocelli is so mainstream. His son Matteo is a different story though cos he has a much more powerful voice than his father
@@jackwhitbread4583 jack i respect your opinion but i don't share the same opinion haha. I have a dvd here Andrea performance in central park in New York and there he blows everybody away whit his opera voice. I do agree whit you that his son Mattheo has a great Opera voice 2. Iam going to the Bocceli fam concert in May here in Amsterdam so i can actually comment as a professional 🤣🤣👍💪
You definitely need to do Pavarotti and Celine Dion "I Hate You, Then I Love You" - its in English. This is another one he did for his charity benefiting children of war.

Strangest duet ever - but it works so well - super nice, and powerful by them both.
Magical orchestration too.

It's a Man's Man's Man's World lyrics
Artist: Luciano Pavarotti •Featuring artist: James Brown
Album: Pavarotti & Friends
Brown: This is a man's world, this is a man's world and
But it wouldn't be nothing, nothing, nothing
Without a woman or a girl
You see, man made the cars
To take us over the road
Man made the trains
To carry heavy loads
Man made electric lights
To take us out of the dark
And man made the boat for the water,
Like my bible says Noah made the ark
This is a man's world
But it wouldn't be nothing, nothing, nothing
Without a woman or a girl
Brown: Man thinks about a little bitty baby girl
And a baby boy
Man makes then happy
Because man makes them toys
And after man made other things he can
Man makes liras, pesos, dollars, rupees
To buy for every good woman and every man
This is a man's world,
Pavarotti: Nulla ha piú senso se
si vive solo per sé.
Brown: But it wouldn't be nothing,
Without a woman or a girl.
Pavarotti: Solo per sé.
Brown: He's lost in the wilderness,
He's lost in bitterness.
Pavarotti: Se non si accorge che poi
nulla ha piú senso se
si vive solo per sé,
solo per sé, per sé.
Brown: This is a man's world, yeah.

Pavarotti's verse translated:
Man runs the power but doesn't know
great limits has to be how it will be done
In his palm he holds an idea
that doesn't live
in his imagination… he wanted
If you don't notice that then
nothing makes sense
if you live only for yourself
U not gonna see something like this ever
This one whas sick isn't it. Hahaa??
