This show is actually one of the very few shows I've seen that has a really well-developed relationship. The progression from Uzi hating N to where they are now feels very natural and you can tell that they bring out the best of each other and respect each other as people (or robots).

But yeah, Uzi was hostile to them still. She hated V, she hated J even more but I don't think she hated N. I think that she didn't really trusted him. Not only because he is a Disassembly Drone, but also because he cared for her and knowing Uzi she was probably thinking that he was faking it, which is why she was acting hostile as a defense mechanism. Anyway, these are just my thoughts not facts so-
I think a massive part of why this dynamic works so well is that, when you strip away all of the anger, angst, and the fact that everyone's a robot, Uzi is more or less just an ordinary girl... a girl who's absolutely terrified of what's happening to her and everyone around her. Out of all characters, N is the one who understands that the most, being in a similar boat with his lost memories early on in the series. Hence why he's the one to ultimately reach out to Uzi and why this relationship exists to begin with.
It’s hard to feel bad for V because it’s not like she ever made a move with N in the present timeline at any point. She could have had N if she wanted him back in the first episodes but instead she treated him like shit, hid things from him and showed him that they were not compatible. Maybe in the previous timeline when they worked for Tessa they had a shot, but in the current timeline they are very different people who are not compatible anymore. Again I was on board with N getting with V early on but the more as time went on and he spent time with Uzi and started to actively grow and evolve as a result of being with her, it's very obvious that they were moving toward each other.
Comparing the animation of the pilot and the most recent chapter, along with the rest that were after the pilot, we can see the great change and evolution of animation
