I sail off the west coast of Ireland , read pubs and gales and i wouldnt go anywhere else for my sailsThey are streets ahead of all others for cruising sails. Erics video doesnt do the outfit justice, i was there.@@robgorman8961
Erik and Silje, what a great trip to Thailand! I've never been but my Thai boxing instructor is a Thai national. Love the new sails and the combination of the dacron and dyneema. The dacron gives it longevity and the dyneema makes it stiff and strong. Love the 3 reefing points, the Harken sliders, and the new lazy-bag. I have a similar lazy bag system on my boat with lazy-jacks guiding the mainsail into the bag. Works awesome. Plus, the ability to drop your main in a hurry with little friction is an added safety feature when you're single handing. Now, get some deck organizers, some rope clutches, and run your running rigging back to the cockpit so you never have to go on deck again! The Rolly Tasker loft was AMAZING. Especially the rigging shop with all that 'boat jewelry'! I just salvaged about $2000 worth of fittings, blocks, snap shackles, reefing gear, and a newer boom off a boat like mine in the harbor that had been severely neglected for years. Our city condemned it and told me to take what I wanted. Just removed my winter cover today. We had over 2 meters of snow in January so it's been a rough winter! It was record snowfall, but we tend to get a lot of snow here in southeast Alaska because we're in a fjord on the ocean! Glad to see Silje again! Looks like she really enjoyed the trip, the snorkeling, the sail loft tour, and the fast boat! Will be putting my sails back on in the next week or two and will be hoisting my NBJS burgee for the first time this year, next to my American flag! Stay safe, snap into your safety lines, and keep the fantastic content coming!
Love how you are branching out into different subjects and locations while staying true to no bullshit, just sailing. Always looking forward to the next video!
Oh my. I was expecting Pina Coladas & Margaritas to come out next!🤭 Great adventure and great video! Wonderful to see Silja still with us and beautiful new sails, too!!
Erik it’s so great to see that smile on your face. Amazing that it has all worked out and the boat is back and even better. Looking forward to the next video 🤜👍
Thank you for the tour of Tasker Sails, I am very interested in the Dyneema/Polyester blend cloth, its shape holding and durability. Get some miles up on them and give us your thoughts. Knowing your previous videos you will test them to them to the limits. Thanks Eric
Loving the bright orange trim on the sails, I first saw this on Excess catamarans and I personally think it is really cool. Then…… I saw the preview of the catamaran sailing in the caribbean and I remember your Cyclades charter. Top tip… don’t let your wife/girlfriend experience catamaran sailing if you really like sailing monohulls. The wasp in your ear will never go away lol
Erik I am shocked you only have 85,000 views!!!!! Honestly your videos are amazing and the places you go!!!! I so look forward to always watching yours vids , , somtines 2 or 3 times so I can show to my wife and other people....your so down to earth and allways make us smile!!!!!! Thank You!!!!!! Be safe buddy.......
This was great video. I even learnt lot. Thanks Erik and Silji. I might pop over to your shop and get a tee shirt and spread the love way down under. Matt from Australia.
What a great and most enjoyable episode! Phuket is still fresh in my memory as I was there last Dec/Jan and visited most of the sights in your video. Wish you and Tessie many NM's of awesome sailing with your new Rolly Tasker sails!
Hei hei Erik... never to disappoint... I don't need new sails but I wish I did... Laff... You and Silja make a great team... Looking forward to the Un-NBJS vid sailing on a what...?: Hobie cat and in the Caribe...?? CU and Fair Winds...
Cool bag and lazy jack setup. I think I will also do this on my boat. You are connecting 4 ropes coming from the lazy bags and you connect them with a knot at a position quite near the mast (so that the main sail stabilizers do not get stugged into it) and then up, right? Or is there also a rope going though your sail? I cannot indentify this completely in your video. The connection of the lazy jack up in the mast: where do you attach it and do you spread it by an attachment point somewhere at the spreaders of the mast?
Love the colour contrast white with orange. I tried to have the same done on my new sails unfortunately orange wasn’t an option which surprises me as it’s a great safety option. Will you be having the spray hood in orange next ????
That was indeed, a different video! A pleasure to watch you work in an ice-free Thai fjord! I enjoyed touring the Rolly Tasker factory with you two. Continue the push for safety first and that includes sleep and using a safety harness on deck. Your prodigious use of your drone adds so much to all your videos and was especially scenic in those out islands of Phuket. Have you considered cruising the Baltic Sea? There's no BS in good cruising!
Thanks for video. Congratulations with new sails. 1.Can you tell please from what exactly material sails is made? 2.If not secret , how much ypu pay for both sails?
Your life is taking you places and it’s so good to see! Hope you had a good time there.🥰🤗👍💯👏🏻👏🏻 @19:28😊When you are with the right person, you go forward with life and old rules are easily broken.😉
Lovely video again .. i always have a little smile when your telling about your viking culture For hundreds years ago Haugesund was a Community of dutch herring fishers . Thats where your name is coming from . Written in dutch it is aan de ra . A Ra is the twarhed piece of the mast .. your forfathers must be someone who managed the sails 👍 As my name is Buijs.. that comes from the name Haringbuijs .. a specific ship. they used too catch herring. Never mind . Just nice to know Greetings from Holland
Awesome. We were sailing in Thailand just a month ago renting a boat from Wayfarer. Shallow waters but wonderful. I had a quote from Rolly for sails here in UK, I thought they were made in UK.
The upgrades look fantastic. I think I like the ball-bearing mast sliders the most. I'm not the one hauling the sail up & down, but it sure looks smoother & more reliable.
Love the tag line no bullshit just sailing! :-) The new sails look great and I love the orange as well. I would be interested in a video dedicated to just the sail production at Rolly Tasker factory.
I’m watching you in Phuket, I live next door to the Rolly Tasker store and I’m pleasantly surprised that you visited here. I wish you wonderful adventures with your beautiful new sails
When a man has to work against wind & cold wet snow under him it's a job. But when his lifestyle & loving task refitting her new sails. No sleet nor cold wet wind can keep him away. Never leave a lady waiting ~ Oppgave ~
The new sails look great! There's a Contessa 35 for sale at Yachtworld and I wondered about the headroom below. I seem to recall you saying it was barely adequate.
I love my Rolly Tasker Sails!! My yuppy friends all tell me they use other sailmakers that cost a ton more. I tell them, yes those expense sails fit nicely in the sail packs and bags and never come out🤣⛵
Love the videos mate. Sew is pronounced SO in english, Just FYI and Sewn is Sown. Keep up the great content I love your adventures. A question why did you not go for a cut top to your sails or were you looking for a nostalgic look for Tessie?

Silje, marvelous episode, we are so Happy your still on board.
Great presentation of Rolly Tasker - quality sail company
They were quality when they were made in Australia, now I'm not so sure.

Memories of Phuket are back! The Rolly Tasker crew helped me ever so much. Getting a 47' yacht ready for an Ocean passage.
Wow. Great break from the usual adventure here. Thanks!
Tessie is looking good with new orange details ! 💪🏻

For a few minutes in the middle… I thought Erik might have to change the name to JBNS! 🤣🤣 Thankfully he ended strong as usual! Go Greenland!!
New sails. Cute!😊
Less than 8% likes, come on people HIT THAT THUMB UP ,it is free and rewards all that hard work.
This is a cool video, love seeing how stuff like this is made
I also have brand new RT storm sails for my Folkboat. Looking forward to using them :) Great quality.
Love your videos and superb commentary.
I love my Rolly Tasker Sails!! My yuppy friends all tell me they use other sailmakers that cost a ton more. I tell them, yes those expense sails fit nicely in the sail packs and bags and never come out🤣⛵

Welcome to Thailand krub🎉
Hope you have a great time in Phuket👍
Another great video Erik. Thank you 🙏
So dope, loving the exhibit: tech sailing gear
Excellent video! Thank you Erik!
Do you mind me asking what brand of camera you use to live stream outside your boat so that you can see what’s happening from inside the cockpit?
Raymarine Cam210 at mast top, 220 in cockpit👌
How long has folly tasker been in Thailand?
Hi Eric, nice to see Tessie looking fantastic, but the big question is... did you ever get the leak fixed in the fore hatch?
Yes! Thanks Mathew!
Love the videos mate. Sew is pronounced SO in english, Just FYI and Sewn is Sown. Keep up the great content I love your adventures. A question why did you not go for a cut top to your sails or were you looking for a nostalgic look for Tessie?
At least in America it is pronounced as you mentioned. But not in Britain. Any Aussies here for their pronunciation? Or Scots?
I am an Aussie Oui Oui Oui. @@cb1p111
I am also using rolly tasker sails...
We have the same situation in America. Everyone complains about overseas marketing and manufacture while loving g and scooping up the cheap prices.
