I think that it wouldn't work since ladd's effect to negate is an effect

Won't work. If you have 3 LADDS, this is what'll happen.
Effect 1 activates.
LADD 1 Chains
LADD 2 Chains
LADD 3 Chains.
3 negates 2 that was attempting to negate 1, 2 resolves negated
1 negates original card.

Or to put it easyer if there's an odd number of ladds on the field you can negate if there's an even number of ladds you cannot.

Card seems pretty simple to understand. But this card is just one of the few cards that you can use both honests effects at the same time. (Dark honest and OG honest) by activating dark honest then og honest after. You gain the attack of that monster then their attack is reduced. Leaving big damage
