This one I saw at home and not at the Movies... I loved it and was glued to my little television screen! We had a great childhood because of movies like this. Much respect to all of the people & members that helped us have a great childhood.

Very classic Liu Chia Liang movie in that nobody really dies, and the lesson is usually about the brotherhood and friendship that martial arts brings overcoming division.
What can I say, the movie itself is at least a top 10-20 old school kung fu movie. However, the opening scene is at least a top 3-5 of all time, right up there with the 36 chamber of Shaolin and The mystery of chess boxing. I mean the artistry, choreography, the Wu-tang sword play & Shaolin kung-fu, the sound effects, the music--all top notch. This is definitely one of the best.

It would be nice to see a new DVD release of this film in the United States. The print used for the Xenon release was disgracefully bad; this one is in much better shape.
Its been standard practice for most films to be filmed that way from 70’s up to 90’s. To save costs of recording live sound and film stocks from bad takes, also because HK is noisy as hell, also some people in HK industry are not native Cantonese speakers or just not have a strong speaking voice
This old Cantonese film is such a rare find. With all my favorite HK actors. Much appreciated.
