Another thing they forgot to add in their year in review. In 2023, a new subway train called the R211 has finally hopped into the system! To replace the old R46 subway trains.
1:30 I can agree. Lately I’ve being catching my train quickly. I remember this time I thought I have to wait for 12 minutes for a D train but no. I only waited 30 seconds.
2:06 speaking of bus redesign, I love what you guys did by switching the bx36 to Tremont and having bx40 and bx42 to 180th st. The only problem with the bx40 and bx42 is that sometimes whenever those buses have to make a right on 180th street to get to Webster, there are sometimes cars that are parked leading to the buses to unable to make it down to Webster ave. That happen to me 3 times this year.
They reverted a lot of the changes that they were going to make with the Queens bus redesign and that’s gonna make a lot of people angry. for example the removal of full service along 73rd Ave., and no direct Hillside to Little neck service

Question: is it possible for you guys to change the exit only at the Rockway ave C to Euclid Ave to a entrance bc is annoying to either walk the big block to the entrance or wait for B25 or go across and enter the station and have to go to the overpass for a Euclid Ave bound C train.
How much longer is the R211 are going to be out. I know there are like 1-3 sets now on the tracks but when it going to come back. I hope this is the last time you guys would make deals with Kawasaki.
Listen, this is what happens with new MTA train sets all the time, there will always be problems with brand new trains. It is not always Kawasaki, but with Bombardier, and Alstom. There was honestly even more problems with the R179 when it first started entering the system, like overrunning, coupler detachments. but then all the problems were fixed and the R179 is now a great train. It will be the same thing with the R211, it has only been out in service for 10 months, so give it some time. Kawasaki should continue to make deals with MTA

Everyone so happy for mta 23 year wait til 24 when they start raising prices we don't need the mta, they steadily been draining money from city departments (mta is a private organization) and the public why do we need them, it's seriously cheaper to own car then take the bus everyday and the tolls are part of the mta too get ride of them
We also can't survive when you unilaterally set a congestion price no one in NYC agreed or wanted. You're essentially writing a blank check for the MTA with no actual guarantees they're going to improve any transit for anyone at the expense of everyone else.
Most people know inner NYC want this, it’s just outer suburbanites (looking at you New Jersey) and people who cling onto their cars in urban areas are fully against this. There are some fair criticisms, but most urban NYCers know why this should happen.
@meli4157cozy This is a dumb comment. People often drive because there is no alternatives. This city does have areas where public transit just isn't an option and driving is quicker for those who can't just hop on a train There are people that drive to work or to do important things. Congestion pricing is nothing more than a scam that will add traffic in the south bronx and northern Manhattan and make air pollution worse. It wouldn't suprise me if this fails in court.
@@Atrail_Mckinley4786 I hope you recognize southern manhattan literally doesn’t even have practically any parking. No one driving into there is making a reasonable commute. Go north and you’ll be fine. And if you are on an expressway you are exempt.

The first R211 actually arrived in 2021, so it's likely in that year's video.
A lot of gems in here. Thanks, MTA for another year!

In 2020, they said NYC and its subway were dead. 3 years later, the subway is back to carrying more than a billion passengers per year. Well done MTA!
Why are you congratulating the MTA?
Man, what a year that happens this year in 2023 for MTA. : )
They reverted a lot of the changes that they were going to make with the Queens bus redesign and that’s gonna make a lot of people angry. for example the removal of full service along 73rd Ave., and no direct Hillside to Little neck service
I thought the Q36 going there. Unless you talking about all 7 day service to Little Neck then I get it
@@Andres-ko2hc The draft plan they were going to have the Q45 go on Hillside and then turn up little neck, they scrapped that
1:50 TRUE! I seeing more C train midday service than A trains
Bro how many comments do you have in this channel?????

Honestly there has been zero improvements on the NR and non at 34th street. 34th is one of the scariest stations

Faster and better bus services? I think I should just wear a go pro every time I ride a bus or wait for one, cause it's always a dog shit experience

MTA is a public organization, 100% owned by the state of New York.
MTA 😃
LIKE HERE IF YOUR AGAINST THE MTA
Get outta here
You can be against the MTA but gotta give respect to the projects they are putting unlike other systems.
We also can't survive when you unilaterally set a congestion price no one in NYC agreed or wanted. You're essentially writing a blank check for the MTA with no actual guarantees they're going to improve any transit for anyone at the expense of everyone else.
Yes you can. Do not travel in lower manhattan and you are fine.
