One can avoid the E16 stretch entirely, just requires going on the south side around the lake, and then an extra minor climb and gravel section between Bulken and Evanger. Beautiful ride!
We spent a few days in Voss in late May. We were stunned by the area's beauty. I rented a MTB for an afternoon to explore the forests. Besides the beauty of the area, one thing that really impressed me was how accommodating cars were towards cyclists, at least in the Voss area. My wife, a non-cyclist, and I both want to return there when time allows. I think I'll fly over with my bike and enjoy some of the routes you've created.
This is going to be a great series of videos. Only problem is the videos are too short😂. We mere mortals who cannot get to Norway need to see more. Thanks Matthew. Steve
Oh my gosh! I just came back from Eksingedalen loop (by car). Drov in the same direction as you, although my plan was to do it in the opposite one to follow the river upstream and have a better view of the cascades (road works made us turn around). I also continued down from Dale to Norheimsund to see two more lovely waterfalls on the way (Fossen Bratte and Steindalsfossen). If you're back in Voss area, I would recommend going east to Espedalen and then down to Ulvik. Really lovely views that way.
Fantastic looking route, filed. I love your delivery too. I've only just become familiar with those signs in Switzerland, mostly favouring none motorised transport. But at times when the other way round where the heck do you go?!
Please consider putting a camera to your chest? I think it's a nice view where we can clearly see the bike handle bars...that you are riding the bike in these beautiful places 🥸
Your videos have inspired my wife and I to head to Norway next year for our 30th wedding anniversary - with bikes and our campervan...

Friends and family ask why I love Norway, from Kristiansand to Grense Jakobselv and all places in-between.
This is a great example.
