It seems Cobra Kai doesn't kill off characters unless the actor passes on in real life, or if it's in flashbacks.
I've always said that Silver is worse than Kreese. Kreese sees his issues with Daniel as a war. Silver however, sees it all as a game, which makes him even more dangerous.
True but at the same time. Silver at least wasn’t going out of his way to start the war. Kreese did
What makes Silver worst is the fact he has no loyalty but Cobra Kai the brand and not the personal. Just think what would of happen if Silver back then thought Johnny was Kreese's weakness? Well if saw Daniel and offered him lessons and seeing that Daniel was different before he found Miyagi, we probably looking at a different Johnny Daniel rivalry!!! Keep this in mind its the Brand Terry is loyal to. What we've seen so far in season 4 Terry at times isn't afraid to challenge Kreese. He will say its about making both fighters stronger if they have to compete!!!

I always liked his character in Karate Kid III. When I knew he was going to be in Cobra Kai it just got even more fantastic.
Terry has a charisma that Kreese never had despite being the OG villain. He's tall, still good-looking after all these years, he always wears black, shiny outfits, he smiles in a sneaky, yet charismatic way, he has his own theme playing so you know something horrifying is about to happen. There's something about him that you makes you like him. I enjoyed the scene where he beat Daniel more than the one where he got defeated.
Omg cobra kai directors need to look at these comments. It's obvious they should have had Terry Silver win. Stupid guys made Daniel Larusso win. It would have made more sense if Mike Barnes delivered the wining blow if they were going for the miyagi do win arc.

Where is your scientific evidence and facts? Huh? They made Daniel Larusso look like a douchebag in season 1 and now they are trying in vain to make him look good? Don't make me laugh. If Daniel Larusso was promoted as unbeatable in season 1. Cobra Kai wouldn't have even made it to season 2? Not every show is a hit. The movie "stone cold" flopped. Many sitcoms flopped. Mr. Patterson didn't even last a season though it had Jason Alexander. Just like ice cube the legendary rapper said just because they're in charge don't mean they don't make rookie mistakes. Ice cube said if Warner Brothers made a Friday sequel they would make a ton of more money but they dropped the ball on that. Take promoters for example, Vince McMahon is not as much of a genius as he thinks. He made stupid decisions but not Dana White of UFC. The writers of cobra kai are not invincible, they're human and they make mistakes too!!!!

John didn’t suggest that in the Q&A they did, but they also haven’t written season 6 yet, who knows, maybe the on going theory can be written in to the show.
Unfortunately that comes with getting old as aging itself is a decline in health. If Silver were smart he would've invested in Regenerative Treatments as he has the Money to do so.
Although I agree that Terry Silver is the best villain, but I have to admit that Hector was downright scary too. When he suspected that Miguel was with the FBI, the way his attitude suddenly changed from cool to menacing was unsettling to say the least.

Well I'll say nothing beats a Drug kingpin who would kill to protect there business while presenting themselves as family man at home. A great villain like Hector and Terry are both dangerous because they know when to shut it off when they have to and turn it one as well.

Thomas Ian Griffith has always been good in his acting roles. He was the star of his own martial art movies in the 90s, he was a great bad guy in 2 episodes of In the Heat of the Night.

I’m guessing the pills Terry were taking were anti psychotics, and the doctor he was seeing was most likely a psychiatrist. It’s heavily implied, my guess is that the chef knew that he had accidentally triggered Terry’s ptsd, and that’s why he said “perhaps I should call the doctor” I assume Terry stopped taking his medication and having Kreese activate his ptsd put Terry right back in that state of mind.
That's what I think.

I lean more towards it being medicine for something else. The writers knew viewers would assume anti psychotics. I think it was a misdirection. I’m not saying that Terry doesn’t have some PTSD issues, but he just functions too well in high society to be someone that has taken himself off antipsychotics that he needs. I know the prevailing theory is that Kreese activated the PTSD and to a degree I concur, but now we know all that stuff with Stingray was planned. Him acting crazy was all part of him fucking with people knowing he was going to erase the footage just when it was about to happen. A person locked into a spell of PTSD isn’t going to formulate such a plan on the spot like that.
I really think Terry Silver is one of the greatest villains of all time. I was seriously bummed that they made him look so weak at the end in a one sided loss to Daniel. Also it feels like they are ending his story which is disappointing, I really wanted to see him in season 6
Funny. Danny-boy defeated Silver in the same way Kreese planned to defeat him in '84. Have one person seriously injure him, then have someone else finish the job. That's how Chozen and Daniel defeated Silver.

Silver did not look weak. There is no shame in losing to Daniel after 2 consecutive death matches prior. He beat fucking CHOZEN who is confirmed to be more deadly than Daniel. Seeing a worn out fighter go down after going 3-0 with deadlier fighters is not weakness. They aren't superheroes or anime characters. They're human. With human limits.
I suggest you sleep on that before undermining the threat level of the great Terry Silver.

Terry Silver is genuinely one of the most terrifying villains I've ever seen. He sees his "war" with Miyagi-Do as a game and his mind games are scarier than any violence Kreese could ever inflict.
I’m a little confused about why Silver was arrested at the end of season 5.
3 men stormed into his home and started a fight. (Silver wasn’t around in season 3 when the Cobra kids invaded the Larusso house so that’s not a one for one. )
The “good guy” kids enters his dojo and hacked the computer and security footage. (Awfully convenient he didn’t erase the footage of his talk with Tory )
He has a one sided fight with Daniel who just punks him.
I’m assuming he is arrested for bribery, of a volunteer all valley tournament Ref….? It wasn’t even a police investigation. It was those darn kids. Sting Ray was literally recanting his sworn testimony in a court of law in the parking lot, but he doesn’t even say it was silver.
It doesn’t make sense to me why he was taken Into custody right there.
The cop in charge said he is facing a litany of charges. Did that mean from the events of that night or from other investigations? After a couple rewatches I found that finale to be unsatisfying and the writers just tying up all the loose ends and putting a bow on top. Like look the sinister big bad is going to jail.

I just caught up now and I kinda agree. Im assuming they just go by "stingrays new testimony changes everything and sooner or later all the crimes terry has committed will be exposed", realistically It all depends on how good he was at covering the tracks of every crime. I think in S5 they def upped the anti on it being a dramatic "evil evil villian", bro was chilling in his mansion having a super villian talk with Kim and then his hit squat come outta nowhere and try decapitate Johnny...like idk, its a bit less plausible in general than S1-3, but I think with the level of logic and realism they are going for, they're just writing it all off as finished. Prolly gonna have kreese come back 1 last time in s6, and then turn him into a good guy before they end the show since it seems unlikely they kill anyone major off.
I LOVED Anthony's redemption arc this season. I haven't seen anyone else talk about this, but he didn't wanna do karate at the start and he just wanted to play on his iPad. And in season 5 he stops the fight using his knowledge of ipads
True Anthony was good in S5. He even tried to mend with Kenny twice in S4 and even after bullied someone my much by Kenny in S5. He doesn't hold any resentment against him.
Nevertheless, I still want Anthony LaRusso to be revealed as Silver's blood grandson when his mom Amanda turns out to be Terry's secret biological daughter.

You keep on calling Terry a villain, but let's examine the facts here...
- helped his friend recover from depression
- helped restore his friends business
- employed hundreds of hard working Americans in an environmentalism business
- took Daniel under his wing and taught him techniques that would be invaluable 30~ years later
- went to therapy to overcome his demons and PTSD from the war.
- became vegan
- helped develop a 'mindfulness' app. Those are useful.
- helped his struggling friend AGAIN even though he might have cancer or something
- apologised to Daniel for their misunderstanding years prior
- got kreese off the streets!!
- opened up a whole valley of dojo to help kids become the best versions of themselves... even though he might be dying
- brought them top tier instructors
- repeatedly forgave Daniels infractions and offered peace, but Daniel just wouldn't listen
- only fought Daniel with 'casus belli' (provoked multiple times)
- finally, probably dying if cancer, got beaten to a pulp by Daniel. Nice.
I'm not saying the guy's a saint...he definitely shouldn't have wasted that nice bottle of wine at the start of season 4, but how on earth is terry the villain here? All he wanted to do was have a nice swansong getting his dojo into the world tournament. Daniel just had to push it!

Third it.. also the ptsd and nagging of Kreese pushed Terrence to Terry again. Knocking Johnny to proved his loyalty and obedience to Kreese even though it was unnecessary. And Terry being a multimillionbillion guy and has tons of charity programs way before Johnny restablished Cobra Kai, its impossible for Danny boy to not notice him. The whole guilt card and owing made him turn his back on his renewed life and relationship. Terry was kind when he went back to the Dojo and even have his bets in Kenny(not cobrakai awakened). Thats not the Terry in KK3. But just because Mr.Rambo doesnt let go on the war with the rivals and doesn't want to be called out by his weakness, now punishes Terry and was rooting for the "Guilt Card". He is beyond redeemable unfortunately after that scene.
I agree completely. Everybody thinks Daniel is perfect and all good. But Daniel is a hot head. He refuses to forgive anybody! Daniel tried to stop Johnny, was rude to Kreese (Kreese did nothing.) then he was arrogant to Terry Silver's genuine apology! Daniel is a prick! You should do a video about how Daniel LaRusso isn't perfect and blameless. I'm not saying he is the real villain. A lot of Daniel's problems come from his own stubbornness. He can't let go of the past. Daniel reminds me of a person who still wants to get even with all the kids who bullied him in highschool. Even though that was over 30 years ago. You know, Daniel hasn't changed much. He is still a hot head and quick to get in a fight.
Love Terry Silver in this film and TIG best performance ever as an actor and he's been in solid films where he delivered acting wise. Plus, the way he walks creeping and stalking behind Larusso in Stingray's apartment reminds me of the Tall Man from the movie Phantasm.
Watch Party, I've noticed that the fanbase is very divided on characters such as Sam, Robby, Tory, even Daniel... but one thing we all agree on is that TERRY SILVER IS AWESOME.

Yea fr, they make it seem hella far fetched that terry is this 60 year old man whos just kicking all these 40 or 50 year old guys asses, let alone the young adults, but all of the actors from the OG movies are old as hell now lmao, they just move well and the show has them keep up
Add to that the many situations he'd be dealing with in jail. Silver is a man who will never go down without a fight and I'd love to see how that concludes in season 6.
Terry was treated like a sidekick rather than a partner
I was surprised at his sword technique though, as his stance was defensive. I figured he would be more aggressive with his sword techniques than he was. To explain, when someone holds a sword parallel with the ground toward the opponent as he did, it is like saying, "You stay way over there, and I will stay way over here." Thus, using the sword as a kind of distancing tool, and keeping the point of the blade at their face or chest.
Anyone think Chozen should be the new Miyagi figure in the new kirate kid movie instead of whatever the studio has planned? Definitely a more morally Grey take on the character

Unrelated, but I wish Chozen would’ve used his fist technique he was going to use on Daniel, and that Sato was going to use on Mr Miyagi. Also wish Daniel would’ve used the two legged kick he taught Robby. He said he’s never been able to do it, so would’ve been a cool reference for season 1
He said he could never complete the two legged kick and Miyagi was the only one who could do it. The two legged kick is Robbie’s move and his alone. It would have been nice to see it again though.
That would take away from Robby's awesome moment in season 1

I’m pretty sure we are going to find out Silver has cancer in season 6 and that he will be let out of prison because of that. Well that and the fact that he is super wealthy. Of course those meds in season 4 could by for psychiatric illnesses or PTSD from the war etc but he was at the hospital when Johnny and Carmen were getting their first ultrasound so maybe it is physical.

Now that I'm caught up with Cobra Kai I finally get to enjoy these videos. The theory that Terry was sick or even dying was something that came to me while watching this season
In my opinion Terry was rushing the Expansion of Cobra Kai this season. He's pissed that Daniel and the others are trying to enter the grand turnament, because if Cobra Kai doesnt qualify that means he has to wait until next year when His illness will have already killed him.

The line that cinched the "Terry is dying" hypothesis for me was when Chozen knocked him down in the fountain.
"Do it. I was meant to die on the battlefield" ~ delivered with a resignation that he would meet a more honorable end this way over what he knows awaits him.
Thomas in a recent interview said that that was a sub plot that got cancelled but that line worked anyway with the character
For purposes of awards consideration :
1. COBRA KAI IS A DRAMA SERIES.
Cobra Kai is not a comedy series.
The show should be properly competing
in the drama series categories.
2. THOMAS IAN GRIFFITH AS TERRY SILVER IN COBRA KAI SEASON 5 SHOULD BE NOMINATED AS BEST LEAD ACTOR IN
A DRAMA SERIES. Together with Ralph Macchio but Griffith should win over him. In season 6, Ralph and William Zabka can be returned to their co-lead status once again. But season 5 remains The Terry Silver Show.
Yeah, I've heard the rumors that Silver might be dying, but I always assumed the pills he was taking in S4 were antipsychotics (note: there's exactly as much rationale for that as the dying theory, which is to say we're all reading into it what we want through assumptions we've made unbidden). Now, if they reveal in S6 that he _is_ dying, there will be this part of me that wonders if it was actually the intended setup or if they were just rolling with a good fan theory. My issue is that for as great as Silver is as a villain in this series, I'm not sure his S5 character traits are entirely consistent with his S4 character traits. You have to say that he spent the entirety of S4 lying to himself like someone who's let their own therapist get into their head in a way that has defeated their own ego an self-respect, and the only reason I can buy it is the Stringray incident works as a breakdown of sorts for him.

If you compare Karate Kid 3 to Cobra Kai Seasons 4 and 5 you'll see that Silver was far more mobile with more power and energy. If all of the Characters were regenerated to their Biological Youth then I think Silver and Kreese would be unstoppable minus Miyagi and Sato. You can clearly see the difference in both Characters being in their 70s being much slower having less speed, power, and energy than they did in the Karate Kid Movies.
I think he is dying from his heart from all the drugs he did when he said in CK 4 where kreese 1st try to convince him to join back CK silver said " I was so jacked up on drugs and on cocaine" that what happens to your heart. It weekends it. So that's my theory of why Terry Silver was in the hospital 🏥

Silver is a great villain indeed but the true star of season 5 is Chozen! he was the star of the show and upped the ante as far as martial arts on the show goes. Chozen rules!!! But Silver is definitely the best villain in Cobra Kai and way better than he was in Karate Kid 3 which was cheesy

Silver is not a great fighter, his strength is his ability to wage mental war. When Daniel regained his balance he made Silver look like a beginner.

Personally if Silver is dying then what better way for villains to go is when one kills the other? I picture Silver killing Kreese in front of all the good guys. Kim just throws in the towel and quietly goes home. Then a montage of all the positive results after the villain’s death. All things cobra kai are taken down or thrown away but there are those dumbass fans-who-love-CK-but-were-too-scared-chicken-shit-to-actually-join. People find love, happiness and success, all with Daniel narrating which turned out to be him giving a speech at Johnny’s wedding.

You make a really good point that the show doesn't really address. If they were the best he wouldn't worry about bribing. That's how Kreese thinks. Terry just calls it an "Insurance policy."
