- You have a collapsible baton and don't know how to use it? Here is a quick lesson on the basic's of using one.
I'm not quite sure where I got this baton at, i've had it for many years, but you can find all kinds of good usable batons on www.galls.com

All Firearms are semi-automatic weapons. Any shooting was conducted on a closed/safe range.
Good video of demonstrating where to hit your target. Cause most people say it doesn't work. Well that's because you're not hitting it on the right spot of the body. A guy name icy Mike from hard2hurt channel thinks it doesn't work when hitting it on the legs. He also thinks batons should be banned like seriously dude? Like I don't get his perspective. Overall, great video demonstration.
I completely agree! Banning batons would be really strange.
Thanks for the feedback and watching! Stay safe!
Batons suck. It's incredibly difficult to get perfect strikes with a baton on a person who's moving and nearly impossible on someone who's fighting back. Mike is right, batons are garbage and when they don't achieve the desired results because cops don't know how to use them, the cops just start wailing at anything they can hit and it makes the situation oftentimes much worse. He said they should be banned from police work, and again he is right.
@@vitogriffin8902 I'm sure those situations happen and I can understand why individuals would want batons banned from police work.
I would pose the question, which has caused more deaths, tasers or batons?
Thanks for watching!
@@HighProStrategic that is a good question. Also, the guy "Icy Mike" is 'hard 2 hurt' on UA-cam, and he happens to be an ex cop so he at least has some basis for his view from that angle. He has his opinions and I think some of them are dumb and some aren't. The baton being a terrible defensive weapon is something I just happen to agree with him on. Cops have some trouble using it properly and the average Joe with no training who just went and bought one runs a super high risk of accidentally doing more damage than they intended or were maybe legally authorized to do, or worse, have it taken and used against them. It's very easy to take a swung instrument from an unskilled person. I think there's better options than either a baton or a taser for law enforcement, but all the police and government seem to know is how to use violence to solve issues.
@@vitogriffin8902 I definitely agree with you that police do not get adequate training, and the average Joe with a baton might hurt someone. Batons were originally used as an intermediate weapon before pepperspray and tasers existed. I was a former police officer myself and pepperspray was my go to weapon, but most officers don't even carry it where I live.
I will have to check out this other channel, thanks for the recommendation!
Man fk the baton, I want that sword behind you
It's pretty nice! Thanks for watching!
@@HighProStrategic the baton is still good, I was memeing
@@thelordofthelostbraincells I love your profile name!!
@@HighProStrategic thanks 🤣
So can you carry a baton in public in case? Not for harming any but like can you carry it with you for self defense in case a random person tries to attack you
“Deadly force, away..” that needs to be on a patch.
I've been told t-shirts haha! Patches is another great idea!

Take a chill pill there tacticool guy
@@bkheaney Hey thanks for watching and leaving a comment!
Major muscle group striking is designed for law enforcement to NOT cause massive injury to whoever. For self defence, these are not good targets. The small bones like the fingers, the wrist and the forearm are better especially if the aggressor is holding a knife. Smashing the knee (not the thigh) is also more beneficial but you expose more of yourself when swing low. The clavicle is also a good target as is the head BUT all self defence MUST be reasonable use of force. Head strikes can be construed as lethal force so you better be sure
Definitely! If the assailant has a knife, then hitting them anywhere is ok because that's deadly force!
Strike their knee caps and other exposed bones except the head unless your life is at risk.
If he has a knife? Filipino style to the head, side of neck, throw your hip into it. Then strike the knee and back to the other knee!
Go for the hands/wrist. If you break the hands then they will be less effective attacking, and probably won’t wana fight with a broken wrist or hand
@@Greco93 That is very true! But I'm specifically talking about being "less then lethal."
If target bones, then that's considered permanent bodily injury which can be construed as lethal force.
Thanks!
Yea I just brought this botan to add to my extensive collection I brought it to protect my home and my family from burglarys or break in thank you for showing me how to use this weapon
Your certainly welcome! Thanks for watching! Like And subscribe!
Am I the only one getting a vision of Star Wars.
😂
Sorry, I heard strike the outside of the knee joints, the hard joint on the elbow, and several times to the ribs. If that doesn't work, strike the head.
😂 If deadly force is justified, anything goes!
That’s my bro
Lol
Practice practice practice wrist snaps and you'll be able to deploy in smaller distances for quicker strikes.... I love this tool. 2 of these in 16 inch and in the right hands is a force to be reckoned with in CQ. * Just my opinion. Carry on.
I agree with you, In the right hand and with practice it can be a great force multiplier! Thanks for watching and leaving a comment!
This was helpful. Can you provide product recommendations?
If you want an expensive baton, monadnock and asp are great.
But any cheap baton on the Internet will work as long as it's solid metal and not made on China.
Good info, but the last part had me 😂... how to put it away quick? Well, just don't. Tuck and run!
I'm more referring to when you gain compliance or when you need to put it away to access another tool.

Hit the bicep. Hurts a lot
Sounds like you speak from experience! 😂
Well , if youre law enforcement and someone pulls a gun , i think you wouldn't use your baton as a primary
I would agree.
I have a automatic baton. Which extends just by a push of a button. I'm curious to hear your thoughts on that. :)
The automatic are great batons, depends on which brand you have. I touch on it in my full length video on batons.
Generally, the main advantage is you can collapse it with out hitting it on a hard surface.
Main draw back is you could accidentally extend it (depending on brand) and hurt yourself.
Overall they are pricier, and worth it!
@@HighProStrategic police force tactical is the brand. Also glad to hear your thoughts. They are worth it indeed. 👍
What if it extends in your bag by mistake
@@HighProStrategic agree with this, the manual one is still far better
@@demonetizedhistory5806 Sorry for the late reply, But if it extends in your purse or bag, could be a bad day. That's why I personally use a manual baton.
My peacekeeper rcb seems to want to collapse at the thicker joint. I thought they were supposed to be the best
It might just be time for a new baton! ASP and Monadnock are great!

Bro btw have you heard about the tactical self defense whip? Hope you will do a video review on how effective it is vs the expandable baton
Ok! I'll order one and do a review! What site do you suggest?!
@@HighProStrategic hey bro I saw a site that sells a legitimate usa made one (the website is dragonimpact) and cost $29 usd. It will be good bro if you do a vid about the self defense whip, and do a comparison vid of it vs the og legendary baton.
Btw i just got my 26 inch baton ! Ooh dang didnt know its heavy! (1.6lbs) definitely it requires training and a strong forearm strength to swing it! Gonna practice it more 😃
@@PhoenyxuzPrimax Yes, I've been looking for tactical whips and I will be purchasing one soon to compare.
Glad to hear you got a 26 inch baton! The good ones are heavy! Keep practicing, and carry your tools on you all the time! Stay safe!
@@HighProStrategic thanks bro! Indeed my expandable baton is heavy! I was underestimating it at first and i really asked a lot of question to the seller if its really made of hard metal and not plastic😆 bec the price of it is only $13.99 usd! 😮 It also came with a window breaker on the tip. When i received the item, i didnt expect the weight of it, then tried swinging it at first, damn its quite hard and heavy especially if its fully extended. Looks like the seller ain't lying with it! And after 7 times of swinging, hitting some of our coconut trees and banana trees, my forearms are super tired. It is indeed heavy than i expected and when i hit it on the ground to retract it, the ground kinda vibrates 😆. Now, im having a muscle soreness on my right and left forearms. Gotta train this baton again and get used to it, as wat they said, your weapons are 10x more effective if you train with it!
Thanks bro gonna bring this always whenever i go outside when i do my brisk walking or hiking in an early dawn. Also im excited when you got your tactical whips and do a video! Ill stay tune 💪
13.99 usd seems like a steal! Great find! Where did you get this?
Im goin for hands
The element of surprise is to swing the expandable baton toward the target that will stun them. Why take out the weapon to hold it so they will know you have a weapon and what type …
Element of surprise is best if deadly force is warranted. If you are not reasonable to use deadly force, Showing your force might deter an attack.
Is better a telescopic baton with automatic or manual opening ?
Depends on your budget.
A manual one is much cheaper, but you have to smack it on concrete to collapse it.
Thanks for watching and commenting! Like and subscribe!
Screw that, I'm going for the joints, if the situation calls for me to bring out the baton, then whatever damage I do with it is on them, it's like a gun, you don't pull it out, unless it's time to use it, if it's time to use it, you do the most damage you can, in the shortest time possible.
I'm not sure where you've gotten your info from, but a baton is not like a pistol in the eyes of a court or the law. There are situations where deadly force would not be justified, but using a baton in a less lethal manner would be.
Thanks for watching, like and subscribe!
you can also poke with it
Definitely! You can stab or poke with out even extending it!
@@HighProStrategic i actually learned that from being pooked by a cop myself 😂
@@tntviewer9431 Oh No!? Lol hope everything turned out ok?!
Why do Americans pronounce ‘bat-on’
‘bu-tawn’? It’s literally ‘bat’ with ‘on’ after it not some French sounding word 😂
Good vid none the less!
It's very strange! But that's not the only thing we Americans mispronouce! 😂
How much inch is that 21?
No, that baton is a 18 inch.
I would always suggest carrying the largest you can though.

Deadly force away tshirts?
ok, I'll consider it!
Forget that if they have a weapon or trying to kipp me im craking bones today
Yes, if they present a deadly threat to you, breaking bones would be justified for sure!

If someone has a gun im leaving the baton in the bag sorry 😂
Studies done by the FBI actually show that submitting to an attacker is more dangerous for the victim than fighting back.
Knife= Go after the thumb. 👍
I'm not really sure that targeting the thumb would actually work in a scenario where the assailant has a knife and is actively trying to stab you. I think targeting his head or neck might help you win the fight so you can immediately seek medical aid for your stab wounds that you would most likely have after that encounter.

I bought a baton, can i checked-in this in my baggage legally without the airport personnel taking this thing away from me?😅
No, definitely not. They will take a baton from you at the airport unless it's on checked baggage. You should look up your local laws about batons and whether your have to declare them in checked baggage.

You are not describing self sefense. You are describing forced compliance using a less lethal impact weapon.
Anything goes in a real self defense situation. Cop and securitt guard work is not self defense.
It is situation dependent for sure, and Self defense is a very wide range of possible situations.
There are times Pepper spray might not be enough, and there are times a baton swing to the head or a broken bone might be too much force.
But when in a life threatening situation, anything goes as you say!
Thanks for watching and leaving a comment!
@@HighProStrategic yeah to me self defense is you are being attacked and have to save yourself. In that case I'm not hitting the arm.
Anybody know the name of the baton?
The specific baton I'm using is an ASP 18"
"You can accidentally hit the person without planning on hitting them", then don't do self defense.
Self defense is not black and white.
If you accidentally extended the baton and hit some in the eye, that would be considered deadly force, which you might not be justified in using.
Definitely do not ever extend it behind you, seriously terrible advice because you obviously can't see behind you and don't know if someone is walking behind you at that moment.
That's a great point! Definitely should not extend it behind you if your in a crowd or busy place. That's why there is a second technique which is up above you!

Need a lot of class.Baton is to control a person not hit that is easy.😢
How do you suggest you control an individual with out striking them?
A baton is primarily used as a pain compliance tool, meaning you cause severe pain in the individual so that they comply with your verbal directives.
These are illegal everywhere so why promote their use?
These are not illegal in most states in the US. I'm not sure where your getting your information.
